    Currently waiting on a DHM 186 kit, can’t wait. These things are so fun and yeah I would get a better flowing exhaust. I went from a m4 exhaust to an Akrapovic ( I know a bit much for a grom) and there was a noticeable difference in mid range pick up.

    I put the following on my Grom (MSX where I live) and got 17HP on the dyno: 59mm piston/rings (158cc) with jug, 24/28 valve head (ported), PCX 150 injector, pre-tuned (not to my bike but close enough) aftermarket ECU, stainless air filter, basic airbox mod (got rid of the snorkels and perforated plate), and 28mm exhaust pipe into a little higher flow muffler. And I did it all for about $200 where I live. I run 14-35 sprockets so it's a nice sounding little rocket that's a bit stubborn on start-up and for the first minute...after that she purrs. In the queue for a Triumph Speed 400 in a couple months. Have to sell my GSXS 150...3 bikes is enough.

    I picked up a bone stock 2020 Grom SF on FB marketplace with an amazon exhaust.
    I have just recently done a similar upgrade on my Grom.
    -DHM Gen 2 H/C piston (replaced cylinder with OEM from Honda dealer)
    -Decha high rev cam
    -ported DHM stock valve head with upgraded springs
    -Chimera intake
    -hindle evo exhaust
    -DHM ecu flash (tuned for low elevation and 93oct)
    on a stock injector
    other upgrades:
    SMR 6 disk clutch with 60% stiffer springs
    Chimera billet clutch lifter plate
    oil spinner delete kit
    kitaco clutch cover with filter and cooler ports
    Koso timing chain tensioner
    takeagawa super oil pump mod (highly recommended!)
    takeagawa 4th bearing kit
    DHM recommended the stock injector for my build. Has seemed fine riding so far, Have not put my bike on the dyno. Pulled my spark plug and the color is right.
    My bike would struggle to idle after I built it and would stall. I had to adjust my air idler screw out like 2 turns on the stock TB.
    I'm sure my bike is pretty close to your dyno results, can definitely feel it start to pull after 6k rpm. Below that it is doggy with the cam I have. Seems like with this combination, the more RPM you give it the happier it is, and the power just maintains up high. The Hindle is very loud to the point I almost want to wear earplugs while riding it.

    I like the build🤙. Ive got a Koso 170cc 4 valve kit with other supporting mods, also brocks and a Dynojet Power vision 3 ecu. Dynod at 26whp, does 105mph.

    My 6'3"- 190 lb son has an old 4spd Grom. He could go faster in 3rd than he could in 4th! So, he got a new drive sprocket that's 1 tooth smaller, and WOW! His Grom will now do 64 on the flat and 69 with a tailwind! I got to ride it and 69 on a Grom is lotsa fun!

    On the full stand next go to fuel start amd add 3 to every cell and on the bottom left cell in timing att 3 degrees

    If you put in a bigger piston, and increase the power, the stock con rod will end up breaking. Have to replace the con rod as well.

      @@giddyrightonup haven't installed piston yet cause I'm frugal right now, cam has been in for awhile now. I can cruise so much easier with the low end cam. I wouldn't say it's anything remarkably insane but I wouldn't personally go to a high rpm cam unless I got money to blow

    Get the full stand next ecu working any better since this video? I have one coming from Keith from the Grom performance group. I’m hoping mine doesn’t have issues starting when it’s cold lol

    Stock compression is 9.3 and I believe the DHM piston is 13.2. Then on top of that I believe you said the head is decked. And you're running it over 11k rpm. And you're on 91 pump. Yowza! Hope it's running well. That's awesome you broke 16hp.

    Hi Hunter. I wonder why Honda didn't give us at least 15bhp for the Grom and the Monkey from factory. I have a 2021 CB125R running 14.8 from factory. It's a capable little water cooled engine. It's got some poke and I can get away from most tailgaters. Like the look of your Acura. I have a 2004 DC5 Integra which has done over 100,000 miles. I was the first UK owner at 33000 miles and it's still practically immaculate. Enjoying the videos please keep em coming. Cheers.

    I had a 185 big bore kit done on my 2020 grom. It’s not tuned right but still got 85 mph on flat roads. It would sputter out at 3/4 throttle so I’m sure it will go faster

    A zs 190cc 5 speed with a daytona 212 Top end and 4 valve head koso fuel injection and a aracer ecu should get you 25 to 30 hp 85-90 mph would be sweat on your bike its what I'm in the process of doing to mine. I wish I could dino it when I'm finished. Great stuff your definitely getting stuff done. Love the fast moving process definitely moving👍👌✌️💯🏍️❤️

      It’ll work, but you need to pressurize a canister with the turbo and then have the engine fed from that canister. Single cylinder engines obviously only get 1 explosion off per cycle which makes boost build really weird if you tried to go straight from the turbo.

    if you're making that much power on the stock bore that cam must have fucked your low end lol
    it's the piston windage making it run better when it's hot. All air cooled engines are like that. They can't use as tight clearances to account for a greater range of thermal expansion

      Nah but it's no rocketship. I'm 5-10 but same weight and they're definitely quicker with a 160lb rider lol. Mods help a whole bunch and it's fun to get small gains.

    Yes the proof is in the taste of the pudding. The low and mid range (where your nearly always at the power is way down. The driveability is gone with less than a hundred miles on it. Maybe you should get a actual engine tuner to tune it.

      I don’t think that the Seat is Bride, it’s just Bride gradient fabric, which is sold all over eBay. Some company (other than Bride) makes the seats mass production, probably using 6-10year olds assembling them, and sells shipping containers of them for Amazon & eBay sellers.

    Actually bro, if you are using a 10w-30 multi viscosity motor oil it is thinner when it's cold. 10w-30 the w stands for winter and indicates what weight the oil will be when cold out.,., 🤔

    Way too much trouble and money to ruin the stock utility of quick start and go on a Grom. I do love the sound of that cam however.

      The dhm stage 3 kit is tried and true. Makes almost as much power as this and doesn’t have any driveability issues it keeps the stock ECU.

      Yep I’m upgrading and the parts will be for sale too. Recently this bike got a 186 big bore as well no issues

      I was gonna do the 186 but heard they are turds compared to 181. Also have head gasket blowing issues. Was gonna do the sucker or the 181 supposedly reliable af.. I don't wanna mess around pulling the crank and rod out be afraid stock crank would snap from trq.

      @@armdrop101 I have a 186 and it is a turd for sure. Stock bore high comp setup like this is best your going to get on the stock crank and rod
