Copic Markers are topnotch.... I used cheap markers and my art looks like crap. I borrowed a friend's Copics.... and my goodness.... the quality is superb!! It made my art look like pro... 😅😅

I made strawberries awhile back with my ohuhus and did it the same way, even the highlights. I used my white gel pen and the touched my finger to it and went over again with the marker and it was perfect!

i just wanna let you know that you drew the blueberries backwards 😅 the little spikey part is where the stem is attached, so if it’s still on the stem it wouldn’t be visible. and also they grow on stems more like apples, more seperate, as opposed to how you made them kinda like grapes in a bunch
@@EmmaJohnsonShenanigans Maybe you were thinking of european blueberries- Vaccinium myrtillus? Those she's drawing are the big american blueberries you can buy in shops- Vaccinium corymbosum. They are from the same genus, but are separate species :) The small european ones I can pick in the forests here grow more separately indeed

My favourite fruits are berries! Raspberies, blueberries, strawberries, currant berries, pumpkins etc. All great!
I was already amazed at how good it looked. And then I had to interrupt the video to do some other stuff. When I started watching again, everything looked even better! I saw the fruits more holistically rather than as the sum of all the steps I had just seen happening, and it made them POP! off the page!
As soon as Rin posts I have to stop what im doing, jump into bed, and immediately relax✨✨

i swear lady there is nothing you cant draw. Everything you draw is awesome even if its like the first time you have ever drawn it, by the end you would never know that it was the first time you have ever drawn it..you seriously inspire me!
I looked away and looked back and that heckin APPLE blew me away, gosh darn I can't stop staring at it!! How the heck!!!!
Those copics man, such beautiful vibrant colours.
And all this time I have been watching Rin I have never been more impressed with her colour picking abilities. Or maybe I am just niticing it now because she is making something that I actually paint - fruit.
I painted frosted grapes next to a wine bottle on a barrel - one of my fave pieces ever, it had so much colour and texture going on. I also painted a bunch of hanging light bulbs with a totem of lemon and chillies people hang in some eastern countries to avoid the evil eye or something with a rainy backdrop.
The rest of the fruit I mainly drew in my biology practical files along with different plants and veggies and cutsie animals and a bunch of critters.
oml this isn’t like your usual content, im so happy you stepped a little out of your comfort zone and tried something different than usual, this is what makes you so inspiring and interesting, you are the core of a lot of art i create you are inspiring !
There is something so simple and yet technical about these. They're so vibrant and well done.
I recently started drawing a spread of fruit and also quickly realized I was unintentionally making a rainbow, so then I did it intentionally. I love that fruit is so colorful.

I think my favorite fruit is starfruit. It looks cute, and tastes like pineapple without the looming sense of doom.

Ooh what would be fun is using a random colour generator AND a random aesthetic generator and creating characters in 3 colours of that aesthetic. Mixing 2 ideas. Also these fruits are so cool! I like the banana because of the speckles!!!

It would also be amazing with more exotic fruits since they're so colourful and have fun shapes🤪
You can do the blotting method with Poscas too! It's how I get variation in my highlghts, helps with shading and if after it dries, you want to dull it, you can scratch some of it off!
I actually used this technique to draw the fruits along with Rin; it works really well
Dare I say this is one juicy spread? Lol I'm always ao amazed how rapidly each one went from "I don't know what I'm doing" to just a perfect illustration of the fruit in your style. Also, I love how much the pink and green showed up in almost all of them... it actually made me wonder, what if you used a green shade over the shadow areas of the plum instead of a warm grey? Since green and red are compliments I wonder if it would tone it down and tie it in with the other fruits. It'd be risky to pick the right shade but curious how it might look. I wish I had Ohuhus cause I'd be trying these right along with you, looks like so much fun!

I have these videos on in the background while I’m working in my sketchbook, and the shiny fruit unconsciously inspired a shiny drawing of a top hat, and it wouldn’t have looked half as good without this video.

The plums we have are a lot more indigo, dark blue. But yours looks amazing too! It also kinda gave me the vibe of the poison apple in the original animated Snow White, probably because the highlights kinda look like eyes 😅

That banana looks as though you can pick directly from the page; the leaves on the orange are beautifully executed, making that orange appear ripe for the taking. Great job!
Such a gorgeous spread! You never cease to amaze me, Rin! The way you work with alcohol markers is just mesmerizing. My favorite fruit is actually the first one you drew: the strawberry! But I've never tried drawing realistic ones before. I don't do a whole lot of realism, if I'm being honest. But this video kinda made me want to try that with colored pencils, haha!
