Rlly? I always used pens so I'm just so used to using pens that whenever I wanna draw I always use pen, I thought it was casual but when I told someone once they went all out on me like, "HOW DO U DRAW WITH A PENNN?!? " which I found strange tbh.

experiment! i find using unnatural colours is rlly fun! for example you might use a blue for sketching, a green for outlining and a purple for shading- the fun part is just laying a bunch of different colours and seeing what you like!

For darker skin tones, would you go in with heavier orange/pink and then do shading with purple? For outlining i assume you could just use a black ball point

I love drawing with pens and markers!! Ill sketch with softer colored markers, then do the line work, and add more details on top. Sometimes I'll bust out my paint pens to make the pictures pop (and help hide some mistakes)
