To start in Sportcar, would you recommend this or the MX5? I watched an 8000 SOF in the M2 at Ledenon last night and I was really surprised how late they get back on the throttle. Often seemed like way past the apex. Maybe it’s at the apex but really having to be slow with the power makes it seem much later?
Why is it that I don’t have a clutch with this car? The clutch works perfectly fine with every other car, but here it seems like there’s no input at all. The settings are all correct.
@@Sambo_iRacing Thank you for your quick response! What you’re doing is amazing, and as an absolute beginner, your rookie guide videos have been incredibly helpful! Keep up the great work!
Yo sam good shit mate will subscribe i didn't realize you were sambo! I was in heaps of races with you at ledenon iRacing account Rui Oliveira Teixeira cheers!
I used to track my 1989 Porsche 944TS at VIR full course Great track & facility Can't wait to try the new iRacing BMW M2 track car at VIR I had it around the Nurburgring Ring a few times and Had to be mindful of its trailing throttle understeer You may get some enjoyment watching Jim Pace going around VIR and explaining his racing line in an old Jaguar I found it very entertaining 😅 th-cam.com/video/ZmpV5Ov7ZCM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JUeznwCPP4Bu3_lO
Thanks Sam!
No worries!
That was fast to get out
The new mow is really fun to drive 😆
Totally agree bud
Great lap Sam, what was the track temp?
How did you lock the camera? (without shakes)
It’s a replay file buddy. I race in VR so what I see when I’m driving is much shakier.

I think the M2 would be better if you’re looking to move to GT4 or GT3 at some point in the future.

There’s no clutch. To start on the grid, leave it in neutral, max revs and on green just pop it into first gear. Enjoy.

Thanks buddy, I’ll try
I missed a start for that... also, it's strange to downshift, I've tried to blip the throttle while breaking but nothing changes
You don’t need to blip as it autoblips on downshift buddy

You don’t need my guides with your pace!

Am I the only one having trouble downshifting this car? The gears don’t go in on higher revs
There’s quite a gap between 2nd and 3rd so I’d recommend a late downshifts on that one with less engine braking.
Cool. I started to think my wheel had problems haha
