How is that possible? He bought black (4090) and white (4080), swap motherboards and sent back black with 4080 that used to be 4090. They didnt check specs or something?
Its video editing magic, Im not an expert but I saw some videos tutorials, and you would be amazed whats possible. But most of it is meant for movies and non reality videos. Not suitable for videos thats meant to uncover facts only.
Wow, Asus has gotten a lot of love in this video. Considering the lack of a sponsorship, and more importantly, how much I trust Dave, that really says something about how far its products have come.
@@armyant7 no, i don’t think so… but it’s not like the asus product he showcased is bad or anything, I mean, I can totally understand why he chose those products, because I’ve been following him for quite a while(years)..
It’s nice to see diversity of choice among tech reviewers. There are tech reviewers like MKBHD who go all black and then there’s Dave who really shows his love for white devices. As a common person, I’m loving both colors and am torn which ones to choose. It’s great to see you showcasing your love for white colored tech.
I’m a designer and I am on the move a lot. Because of that I always opted for laptops but I did sometimes miss the lack of computing power of a desktop. I was considering getting a pc for more demanding work (parametric designs or 3d rendering) but file management always seemed like a hustle, basically having to setup a server for a comfortable workflow. This monitor is a game changer!! Ordering it today
OMG, I love that monitor; and especially the way it can handle two different systems simltaneously. Also, do I need to say this? Your stylistic choice is just straight up the best on this year's setup. Could never go wrong with an all white build. The headphones at the end bugged me a little, you ABSOLUTELY need to fix that, maybe do what you did to the Launchkey. Swapping the Razer Thiccsteen's internals was a 🗿move.
A lot of monitors have a built-in KVM switch. Avoid OLEDs unless they give you clear burn-in warranty. I have the AW3423DWF and the only reason I got it is the 3 year burn-in warranty.
I always wonder why I never had been able to boot up my custom PC build first try without having to re-tighten all the components. The way Dave throws stuff into the case from across the room is such an inspiration and it's the technique I will definitely try out.
Dave still has few of the cleanest setup in the tech world. For what it is, it's clean, yet functional, yet not overly cluttered but not minimal either. A nice little balance of everything and all you need.
Dave is one of the realest tech reviewer i've watched. All of his video feels like a one take without scripts. Hope you stay in the industry for another decade!
Dave, Legion slim 7 has a complete white configuration (but only up to 4070) selling in China mainland. I think that laptop is so beautiful. Would you have a test on it😂😂
Dave, I'm so much like you in that the things i have in my space must look a certain color and design in addition to the function they perform. Love white design.
would be a perfect fit right? Or he could just get a white casioak if he likes it or just get a casio gw m5610u and mod it with a white case and strap (ive done that and it looks awesome (I nicknamed it the stormtrooper)
I really want an oled monitor, being a graphic designer and a gamer, having color accuracy for work and a super fast screens will allow to just have a single monitor for both work and play
I have been using built-in KVM in Dell monitors, the only issue with that with work and personal computers is you will not be able to switch between two machines when one has a VPN connection. Also, Logitech peripherals can be used in the same way, and work on all monitors.
White gives off a kinda sterile, lab look which makes it look so clean but maybe dystopian... but clean (i guess?) Black works better on all occasions but after a while you kinda see black being dominant in every corner of the pc world that it gets a _little_ boring after a while I still choose black though
Never really understand tech channels, like, okay I do love seeing the latest and best tech, but they get disappointed when something doesn't come with the absolute best components. I suspect most people here cannot afford a Razerblase 16 base config, let alone one with ah RTX4090... let alone two just so you can swap out the internals. I love the tech, just wish there was some perspective.
Indeed it’s so out of this world, I can never relate to it. Because of its nature I think his content would be to entertain though right? If I see it through the informative perspective he fails at most of it.
This video really made the disparity between the average person and a techtuber clear. It's so much, and I couldn't help but feel a bit ill hearing he had 2 Razer laptops, and did a shell swap. I know it's because he got 2 for reviews, but it really does feel like a flex.
He has to return, how is that a flex? Also isn't that the point of tech TH-camrs, they have all the cool stuff, so we live vicariously through them. It's like Ryan toy reviews but for adults lol
This video isn't exactly a buyer's guide - it's his personal favorites partly from the privileged position of reviewing tons of things all year some of which he's bought and kept and partly from hobbies that don't really turn into videos. I for one like the insight into what he'd personally pick and why. In terms of takeaways, I do not need a screen that big but I'm definitely off to research the KVM/file sharing tech which may become a must for my next monitor.
its been a long time to watch your video and your new hair style. getting back to your channel to watch these kind of colors selection for my own channel. Love to watch you again Dave....
I so badly want that screen, though in a cheaper version (IPS LED, perhaps)!!! Love the built-in KVM functionality and the ability to drag files across. Did this require installing some software on both computers? How was the mouse connected: USB RF receiver or Bluetooth?
I haven’t watched TECH videos for a long time. I just saw your new hairstyle today. It really suits you. It’s very handsome and cute. I like it so much.
Dude, that switch between the Mac and the PC only through the screen is crazy, especially for people like me that love MacBooks, but also have a gaming desktop PC.
Sick setup I am seriously considering just copying that pc build. I want that case. But as a OLED user and fan nothing gets close. But i have seen reports that the split screen in longer time is one of the wor offenders of burn in.. the line is so subtle people don’t notice it but its there constantly out fading.
Barrier is the name of the software I use have that same cross-system mouse movement over my home wifi, no cables required. If you would like to set up your Steam Deck next to your laptop and be able to control both with one keyboard/mouse, you can easily do that, and switching between the two functions exactly as shown here, you just move the cursor off the edge of the screen on one device and it emerges still moving on the other device. It's seamless. WHAT'S MORE is you can copy text on one machine AND THEN PASTE IT on the other machine. And it's free. Have at it, folks.
What's your secret to maintaining the cleanliness of your white tech? I consider myself a clean person-I vacuum my room weekly, wipe down my peripherals and desk daily, and always wash my hands before gaming. Yet, white stuff, especially peripherals, never stay clean for me. That's why I usually steer clear of them, even though I love the white and black aesthetic.

white coloured tech is the best tech 😀
I always knew you were a white supremacist!
Dragging and dropping those files were straight up magical 🪄
what wallpaper is that?
Marques: No, Matt Black.
I'm sorry, Dave, but your daughter is right. The jellyfishy does look better than any X Ray skin tbh
That shared screen is practically magic. Probably not a lot of people would make use of it, but for those who do, it’s nice to be able to.
I was thinking the same, that screen is doing the impossible my brain is blown !!
There are software tools which led you do the same stuff without this expensive monitor
That monitor was hands down the craziest thing in the video, def have my dream monitor now
Logitech mice also support seamless switching between different operating systems, so you dont have to buy an expensive monitor to get that feature.
any idea if there are other monitors that have the same capability? but maybe not a 49 inch..
