I love how Stolas hired them as bodyguards at LooLoo Land when he didn't actually need them, but when he invited them to Wrath to just enjoy the festival they legitimately saved his life.
Nobody mentioned it at all, but when Stolas talks about the festival, that everything is always the same, he shakes his head in dissapproval, like he know it's not gonna be the same, but he says that to Blitz to not think he calls them for it. Not sure if it's an accidental shake of head, but it's visible.
@@lixon1501in the new season his dad does say he's in charge of prophecies but maybe he keeps them to himself so he can tell whats going to happen or he knows he won't be killed

They stated in a live stream, that Norman is a fan of the series and Vivivzie’s work. So he offered to be a voice actor as a favor (guessing at a discount price lol)

I was hoping this would be more “wild”, random and vulgar without too much story driven episodes.

Millie's father, Joe, is voiced by Edward Bosco. The same guy who plays Alastor "The Radio Demon" in *Hazbin Hotel*
And Sallie Mae, Millie's sister, is voiced by Morgana Ignis.
Interesting fact about that...both Morgana AND Sallie Mae are Trans women

The bullet is alot more scary than it seems because once you kill a Demon including Stolas, they cease to exist and there's no changing it or any second Hell, just Eternal Oblivion aka Nothingness.
Fun fact, Millie's sister, Sallie Mae, has been confirmed transgender by the creator of the show and by her voice actor who is also trans. A key detail in this is that imps, who are all born in hell, will have different horns based on what they are when they're born. Female born imps will have black horns with think white stripes, and male born imps have even black and white stripes. The creator also confirmed with the voice actor in a livestream that Sallie Mae will come back in season 2.

I think to say that stolas isn't paying attention to the marriage is a little unfair. I think his last of reaction is simply due to Stella spouting threats like that all the time just that they had been empty threats so far. It just shows how used to the constant verbal abuse and aggression he is. But i guess that will become clearer over the course of the show.

This episode has Helluva Boss' underlying themes of classism and exploitation on full display, and I love it.
btw the "Greenlight" for Hazbin was from an actual network, the reason Helluva Boss is coming out with episodes is because it's just Viv's team Spindlehorse, no red tape.
Sallie Mae is peak representation. She's just treated like a normal girl. They didn't even say in the episode that she's trans, the only hints are the voice (which doesn't mean anything because characters are voiced by the opposite sex all the time) and the horns being the male imp horns.
I agree that it is actually better for them not to put emphasis on it in any obvious way, but I also cannot help but be somewhat annoyed by representation when they release a tweet, after the thing airs, to proudly point out a character was this and that. If they needed to point it out afterwards, and it wasn't made obvious within the show itself, then there was no real representation, really. Of course, for people to whom representation matters a lot will, no doubt, be satisfied with a post-show tweet, just because it's better than nothing. But, given the people behind this particular show, I can, of course, safely say they're not doing it lazily or disingenuously. Whereas many shows, live-action or other, only insert token representations to fill diversity quotas and they overemphasize it to virtue-signal, as though it was something special. When it should be treated as if it was nothing special. Normal.
@@MattHunX The thing about transgender imp characters in Helluva boss is that it IS obvious, if you know the series. Male imp horns have equal sized black and white stripes. Female imp horns are black with very thin white lines. In fact, I've spotted 3 trans imps in the show (one of them being Sallie Mae) where the horns give away that they're trans.
The point of not drawing attention to it is that there's a difference between queer characters, and characters who are queer. You can have a gay character (Brandon Rogers's video "things all gays say" is a good example of this), and characters who are gay, like Moxxie. Moxxie is bisexual, but it's not his whole personality. In fact they hardly ever mention it. They treat it like it's completely normal, which is exactly how it should be treated.

You all did Stolas dirty. I know it isn't revealed about his backstory later but there is so much foreshadowing that he's in an abusive loveless marriage and he genuinely loves Blitz.

As a Trans Woman myself I love that Millie's sister is canon Trans. it is so fun and her horns are a dead give away.

it's crazy that Norman Reedus ( yes THE Norman Reedus) voiced Striker in this one. Of course he was replaced by Edward Bosco because Norman was too busy (understandable)
Bringing in The Walking Dead’s Norman FRICKIN Reedus as Striker was a stellar move on the studio’s part! Though a ruthless villain, his character really stood out as a formidable threat.
This episode seems to be showing some interesting things around the Helluva Boss series that have outstanding cast choice and locations being explored 😌
I can’t wait to see for you four to react to Hazbin Hotel as the series is coming this spring or summer but best to watch Pilot episode before the series aired

Also like, the last scene could either mean he pays very little attention to his wife, because she's screaming all the time OR he's used to her making threats frequently so he doesn't take it as seriously.

Fun Fact: this is the first episode I watched. My friends were doing a watch party for it when it was new, and I joined because why not. Then, I was so enamored by Striker and the tone of this episode, I was like “wow, now I gotta see the rest.”
