We see just enough to say that Blitzo is aware he hurts Stolas but his self-loathing makes him resent Stolas for pursuing him and the way Stolas does it. As for the creepy Weinstein vibe you mentioned, that’s def insightful but I think it’s worth noting that Blitzo actually has all the power in the relationship and knows it. Technically Stolas could take his job away from him but won’t, SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 by season 2 he’s even looking into a way to detach from Blitzo without screwing Blitzo over. And Blitzo can make Stolas do anything. I feel Blitzo is def treating Stolas worse than the other way around and is JUST self aware enough to realize it but is committed to his behavior.

One interesting detail about the animation styles used for Moxxie and Blitz's bad trips is that they're more confrontational than you might think. Moxxie's trip has a lot of direct parallels with the work of Disney Animation Studios from the 1990's, particularly the setting and character animations from films like Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Blitz's trip is very different, and draws heavily from the works of Fleischer Studios during the 1920's and 1930's. At the time, they were in direct competition with Disney, and saw quite a bit of early success with such properties as Betty Boop, Popeye, and even some of the earliest Superman animated content. Throughout this period, Fleischer Studios were viewed as having a more raw and visceral animation style, which contrasted with the cleaner and more fairy tale-like works produced by Disney. While Disney found immense success with their feature length films starting with Snow White in 1937, and following with Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), Dumbo (1941), and Bambi (1942), Fleischer Studios just couldn't compete, and was acquired by Paramount. Interestingly, the animation style of Fleischer studios has seen a bit of a renaissance over the years, with Pink Floyd's The Wall featuring several scenes in this style, and even more recently in the form of video games like Cuphead. A very interesting details to keep in mind: The music that is playing with Stolas does his big entrance is actually an organ instrumental of a song that he sings in the second season. So it’s basically the background music of his character in for a song that he hasn’t even sung yet.

Blitzo very clearly craves family and affection but something we aren't aware of yet in his past keeps him afraid to be open and to give or accept love for fear of being let down and broken hearted again. Also #stolitz they are so clearly perfect if Blitzo could accept the love he deserves and be willing to give it in return

Loo Loo Land was phenomenal, episode 5 was great, but this? This episode is absolutely goated, it has huge amounts of everything I love seeing in this series - great character moments, insane action, and a huge song right in the middle. Love this one so much!

Well Stolas isn't a demon invented for this show, he already appears in 14th century text (most notably the Ars Goetia, hence why it's his family title) if we assume the show keep more or less the rank from 14th century demonology (Ars Goetia, Lemegeton, Dictionnaire Infernale, ect...) then the top dogs would be the 7 demons associated with the 7 sins, with Lucifer of Pride being the ultimate one

I wanna point out how Stolas didn’t even attack the agents. He instilled as much fear in them as he did, just by summoning himself to the human realm. And that’s his power alone, without the Grimoire that usually enhances it. Apparently Raven from Teen Titans had a lot of inspiration on her appearance and powers based on demons from the Ars Geisha, including Stolas. I remember one episode from the original Teen Titans, where during a thunderstorm, the characters get picked off in the dark one by one by a mysterious shadow, and later revealed that Raven’s own fears manifested that shadow to target them all. Once she finally confronts her fears, the shadow loses its power, though not before transforming into a bird like creature that spans its wings over the Titan Tower and the ENTIRE city. Stolas’ appearance in this episode reminded me a lot of that scene.
a few fun facts people often miss is that stolas's eyes appear on the tv before he shows up hinting he is the one showing up also stolas is one of the if not THE only demon to be a pacifist hence why he didnt kill the agents and the summoning circle also is using his real sigil/symbol which you can look up and see

This is my favourite episode great to see loona finally showing what she's capable of and hopefully we see more of that in future episodes. Also the animation in this episode was just phenomenal Finally Moxxie's coffee order just instantly reminds me of my second eldest sister
So, just to be clear about what happened. 1. Stolas possessed Agent 2 to ensure a way into the mortal world. 2. He also resurrected the dead agents, so that they can draw the summoning circle around her. WITH THEIR OWN BLOOD. 3. Once the circle was finished, he used Agent 2 to enter to the mortal world. And he did these things WITHOUT THE GRIMOIRE. Can we agree that he's the absolute GOAT?

Part 2 of the finale got cancelled and/or postponed. It was mostly a fanservice-y, filler kind of episode meant to be a lil bandaid after part 1. But it got delayed due to some copyright issue with some of the music in there? Idk. But I'm not worried, s2 is glorious and a new ep is coming in the next 2 months or so. This episode was badass asf, next ep gon be emotional asf. SO SO SO GOOD!! This one. Also amazing reaction as per usual guys, I love your enthusiasm. It's not super fake or exaggerated like a lot of people I've seen. I fucking love the character development and personality reveal happening here. Blitz' trip sequence is of particularly high importance to the show as a whole. Stolas is a prince of the Ars Goetia, from a mythology book that actually exists in real life, so ofc they had to make him looks badass. He's extremely powerful and even then, not even in the top 3 of Hell. Also, ngl,,,,stolas was low key sexy asf in here.
This episode was such an insight to why Blitzø acts the way he does and I sincerely hope we get an episode where Stolas learns about it and they have an actual fucking heart to heart cause goddamn these two need to learn to talk to each other...

I'm late but something that I learned is that Blitz's singing in this episode wasn't done by Brandon Rogers but was actually done by Michael Romeo Ruocco who is the voice actor for Agent 1.
The debriefing in which Agents present evidence of the after-life to The Suits: Suits: "This is all the evidence, every bit?" Agents: "Yeah...we scrubbed the place clean, not a trace is left. Everything is right here." Lights dim, Demons emerge from the shadows and seize the Agents. Suits: "Proof of the afterlife would destroy Faith in Heaven and Hell; we simply can't have that." Suits: "Agents, thank you for your service." The Demons fade into the shadows, taking the Agents with them.
So, Stolas is "just" a prince of hell of the Ars Geotia..above him is his father, a king together with other higher ranked royalty, then come the 7 deadly sins (each ruling one of the rings of hell) and lastly Lucifer who is both the overall ruler and in control of the pride ring. Sinners can only exist in the pride ring, which is also where Imp City is located. Lesser demons like Hellhounds and Imps can be killed just as "normal" as any human...Stolas and the likes (as mentioned in EP.5) need something with more "oompf" like a heavenly, blessed weapon. Sinners are also Immortal unless "killed" with said blessed weapons. Which is the deal with the yearly "Cleansing" as seen in Hazbin Hotel when angels come to the pride ring to purge sinners (and leave their weapons behind on purpose...cuz why not let demons kill each other with them?)
Stolas is royalty but the third level of it, if remember correctly is: Lucifer- King of hell Lilith- Queen of hell Charlie (their daughter)- Princess of hell and heir to the throne. The seven deadly sins (they own part of hell, like loolooland it's in Mammon’s ring (Greed ring). They are more powerful than the Ars Goetia (Stolas and their circle). Ars Goetia (Stolas) After them are the overlords (like the radio demon-Hazbin hotel). Then sinners Then hellborn Then Imps and hellhounds, the lower class.
To answer your question if we're going off the Ars Goetia than there's Lucifer, below him are 9 kings, below them are 23 dukes, and below them are 7 princes. Stolas is "only" a prince. So as scary as he was here he's still just d-tier in power.
episode 7 part 2 has a cameo or song that is preventing it from being released, people think its "angel dust" or "alastor" or perhaps a song vivizy has done in the past, but odds are we wont see that episode until the end of season 2 at the earliest and at the latest never.
The sad thing is Verosika used to love blitz until he kept doing things to push her away and maybe wasn't an alcoholic until they broke up, Fizzaroli was his best friend until (he either sold out or blitz pushed him away as well) and striker betrayed his trust

What happened was that there was going to be an 8th episode to season 1, but they ran into some production trouble and decided to drop it and go on to season 2 instead.
Goetia isn’t high in demon royalty anime then is the Solomon Key demon kings/Queens. Then the Kings/Queens of sin. After that is Charlie and Lilith and then at the top is Lucifer.
I think Stolas and Blitz actually like each other deep down, you know? Cause Blitz obviously never had a healthy relationship, given Veronica's extremely toxic personality and His tendency to get annoyed every time Moxxie and Millie act like a happy couple I suppose that vision of him climbing the stairs to Stolas was how he feels about him, not how the relationship really is, cause if you pay attetion to the details the hole scene had some dirt mog thing dirtying everything, as if Blitz's life was totally filthy, but as soon as the stair appears the mog starts to disappear, and Blitz Clown uniform just disappears and is replaced by his IMP uniform, like since Stolas appeared in his life everything started to work out, but at the same time he feels chained, as if next to Stolas he feels that he is nothing more than a slave next to an almost divine being As for Stolas, it's obvious from the beginning that he's interested in Blitz, but in this episode it becomes clear that it's a little more than sexual, because the way he talks to Blitz after scaring n1 and n2 asking him If he's fine was so sweet and caring

I fucking love the character development and personality reveal happening here. Blitz' trip sequence is of particularly high importance to the show as a whole.
Stolas is a prince of the Ars Goetia, from a mythology book that actually exists in real life, so ofc they had to make him looks badass. He's extremely powerful and even then, not even in the top 3 of Hell. Also, ngl,,,,stolas was low key sexy asf in here.

I'm late but something that I learned is that Blitz's singing in this episode wasn't done by Brandon Rogers but was actually done by Michael Romeo Ruocco who is the voice actor for Agent 1.

The debriefing in which Agents present evidence of the after-life to The Suits:
Suits: "This is all the evidence, every bit?"
Agents: "Yeah...we scrubbed the place clean, not a trace is left. Everything is right here."
Lights dim, Demons emerge from the shadows and seize the Agents.
Suits: "Proof of the afterlife would destroy Faith in Heaven and Hell; we simply can't have that."
Suits: "Agents, thank you for your service."
The Demons fade into the shadows, taking the Agents with them.
So, Stolas is "just" a prince of hell of the Ars Geotia..above him is his father, a king together with other higher ranked royalty, then come the 7 deadly sins (each ruling one of the rings of hell) and lastly Lucifer who is both the overall ruler and in control of the pride ring. Sinners can only exist in the pride ring, which is also where Imp City is located.
Lesser demons like Hellhounds and Imps can be killed just as "normal" as any human...Stolas and the likes (as mentioned in EP.5) need something with more "oompf" like a heavenly, blessed weapon. Sinners are also Immortal unless "killed" with said blessed weapons. Which is the deal with the yearly "Cleansing" as seen in Hazbin Hotel when angels come to the pride ring to purge sinners (and leave their weapons behind on purpose...cuz why not let demons kill each other with them?)
Stolas is royalty but the third level of it, if remember correctly is:
Lucifer- King of hell
Lilith- Queen of hell
Charlie (their daughter)- Princess of hell and heir to the throne.
The seven deadly sins (they own part of hell, like loolooland it's in Mammon’s ring (Greed ring). They are more powerful than the Ars Goetia (Stolas and their circle).

After them are the overlords (like the radio demon-Hazbin hotel).
Then sinners
Then hellborn
Then Imps and hellhounds, the lower class.

To answer your question if we're going off the Ars Goetia than there's Lucifer, below him are 9 kings, below them are 23 dukes, and below them are 7 princes. Stolas is "only" a prince. So as scary as he was here he's still just d-tier in power.

episode 7 part 2 has a cameo or song that is preventing it from being released, people think its "angel dust" or "alastor" or perhaps a song vivizy has done in the past, but odds are we wont see that episode until the end of season 2 at the earliest and at the latest never.
tldr: part 2 has a "copyright claim" and you most likely wont see it outside of the un-animated trailers showing pieces she's already put out for it.

The sad thing is Verosika used to love blitz until he kept doing things to push her away and maybe wasn't an alcoholic until they broke up, Fizzaroli was his best friend until (he either sold out or blitz pushed him away as well) and striker betrayed his trust

Okay so for the finale part 1 vivzie tweeted about it on her twitter. Apparently some stuff came up to where even when they finish the second part they won't be able to release it yet so instead of holding us up and waiting for the second part of season 1 finale the team went ahead and went straight into the 2nd season and when they have the green light they'll upload part 2 of the season 1 finale.

Dude helluva boss is FULL of lore. You could spend hours analysing all the episodes and it's worth it too.
What happened was that there was going to be an 8th episode to season 1, but they ran into some production trouble and decided to drop it and go on to season 2 instead.
Goetia isn’t high in demon royalty anime then is the Solomon Key demon kings/Queens. Then the Kings/Queens of sin. After that is Charlie and Lilith and then at the top is Lucifer.

I think Stolas and Blitz actually like each other deep down, you know? Cause Blitz obviously never had a healthy relationship, given Veronica's extremely toxic personality and His tendency to get annoyed every time Moxxie and Millie act like a happy couple
I suppose that vision of him climbing the stairs to Stolas was how he feels about him, not how the relationship really is, cause if you pay attetion to the details the hole scene had some dirt mog thing dirtying everything, as if Blitz's life was totally filthy, but as soon as the stair appears the mog starts to disappear, and Blitz Clown uniform just disappears and is replaced by his IMP uniform, like since Stolas appeared in his life everything started to work out, but at the same time he feels chained, as if next to Stolas he feels that he is nothing more than a slave next to an almost divine being
As for Stolas, it's obvious from the beginning that he's interested in Blitz, but in this episode it becomes clear that it's a little more than sexual, because the way he talks to Blitz after scaring n1 and n2 asking him If he's fine was so sweet and caring
