I love him. imagine films without his subtle injections of reality. Talented and clever. One of the most under recognized and appreciated Acting Geniuses of my lifetime.
Gonzalez Gonzalez had a restaurant in Venice California. my dad used to bring us hamburgers from there really late at night or very early in the morning. that was back in the 60s

He was my neighbor when I lived across the street from him on Aletta Ave in Culver City, CA. HE WAS SUCH A GREAT GUY. I actually have gardening tools from him and I was able to give him Warner Bros, cartoons that I had on video tape.
Same here. In the mid sixties when I was in High School we lived on the dead end part of Charles Ave. I knew he lived there on Aletta but I never met him.
Pedro appearred with Rex Allen Jr at a Lone Pine Film festival a while back. When my family would ride the Mexico boat ride at Epcot and Pedro showed up in the market scene, I'd tell my kids I met him at Lone Pine.
I can,t believe I just watched,and almost busted a gut laughing from his role on the " you bet your life" with Groucho,but of course I remember his many roles in the classic westerns.after seeing this.Thanks for sharing it.
He was great in Rio Bravo. He had a small part, but he stood out big time in the movie. He's one of the first people I think of when I think of that movie.

The family was funny and entertaining. One of his brothers was my godfather and he and his sister used to play guitar and sing at Disneyland. When they'd come to my family's get togethers they would do their Disneyland act. They had very bright personalities. The Gonzalez-Gonzalez family and mine were very close, but somewhere around my teen years they just disappeared, I believed they had moved out of state. Tried my best to reconnect with them but failed. By now they have probably passed on or are very aged with infirmities. They hold a lot of bright special memories. Pedro I didn't know that well. I might have met him as a child.

When I received the link to the Marx show where he was discovered, I was put off by how Mr. Marx poked fun at Pedro, but maybe Pedro knew that would happen & was great with it...it sure got him started on the star track!! And his bio on IMDB says he had a keen comedic sense, & stole the show from his family, who had a traveling show when Pedro was young. Check out the short "A Taste Of Catnip," released some time after 1963. Unfortunately, like all of the other Daffy/Speedy cartoons, it's cringingly unfunny.

I tried my hardest to find out the name of the song since it’s quite catchy, the best I could do is listen to it over and over and I got “la vanito chino chino” but I can’t find any song even close to the one he’s singing. Maybe it was a made up song so he could do the act with the pants, they did that a lot in the 50’s 60’s.

I worked with Pedro for years when I was Rex Allen Sr.s girl singer. he and my Dad Speedy Haworth were very close friends. I miss him
