    We have always enjoyed staying at the Cocopah! The area that is 'under construction' is going to be a family oriented area of the resort. Can you find the spelling mistake in this video?? Let me know in a comment! I am a stickler for correct spelling and didn't notice this one til after the video was uploaded. Argh! Oh well. If you are interested in more info on the Cocopah I have another video here- th-cam.com/video/ulyw8qv7ZHA/w-d-xo.html

    I love this place, its so much better than sitting out in the desolate desert of Quartzsite bored stiff. If your rig is set up to boondock it doesnt get better than this

      Hi guys! For us, it works at this part of our time in the southern US. Yuma and Tucson are about as 'big city' as we get in our travels. The rest of our travels take us through small towns and slower roads. When we find a place we can stay for a few days in the wilds, we take it! But, it's always free! Thanks for watching!-Sue

      Hi! And thanks! I think you might have been looking at the Cocopah RV and Golf Resort. It’s owned by the same tribe, but is separate from the casino. Here’s the street address of the Cocopah Casino in Yuma where we stayed.
      15318 S. Avenue B.
      Yuma, AZ
      Remember! They have a dump station across the road at the gas station that you can use and is included in your fee. Hope this helps!

      One day we'll get that spot!! The spots are really wide so there's lots of room to spread out a bit. There is lots of room for dog walks too. Our love the grassy area! You do need to try out Yuma! It's a beautiful area and there's lots to see and do. Thanks for watching and take care!

    We have never stayed at a casino. Need to try it out. Lynn and Danny.

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We’d choose a casino over a Walmart any day! But we do appreciate Walmart’s generosity in allowing RVers to spend the night too. Casinos tend to be a bit more ‘organized’ for RVers. Usually having a certain area designated for RVs, having security patrols, and usually a time limit for stays. We like them for being able to stay a few days and explore a town or city, and leave the trailer and animals behind safely.

    Nice video and you guys have one of the very best made trailers, ''Arctic Fox'' ,that company builds them right. how far is los algodones can you walk from cocopah and is there a shuttle?..pete.

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you, Pete! We agree on the Arctic Fox! Although, after we bought ours we discovered a bunch of rot around the bottom of the trailer. It’s a 2007, and there doesn’t seem to be very many around that were built this way. We think it was a design flaw. I did do a couple of videos about us fixing it. th-cam.com/video/sfFHONE9MYI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NRat75gba8BmaNx7
      Now, we think it’s perfect!
      As far as Los Algodones, it’s too far to walk and when we’ve been there there has not been a shuttle. There is a huge pay parking lot at the border crossing though. Lots of space.I also did a video on things to know when you go that you might find helpful if it’s your first time going. th-cam.com/video/RjuqiuyYLtw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ygKmwjxZP4QUduCj Thanks for watching and for your comment!

    Do you happen to know what the longest timeframe is that you can stay here?

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I believe as long as you pay your fees, there is no limit. We met a couple last year who stayed there all winter. They grabbed that primo spot when it opened up and then stay put until they headed home in the spring. It really is a great deal. When they needed to dump their tanks, they had a car they parked in the spot, plus had their chairs out and had no problem with anyone complaining. It's much cheaper than an RV park in Yuma, and as long as you are good dry camping, it really is a nice spot! We'll be heading back next year for a couple of weeks. When we arrived this past winter, most of the rigs that were there when we arrived were still there when we left. Hope that helps!

    Wondering how hard it was for you to learn to use the drone… I bought one two years ago and I’m so chicken to use it I’ve not even taken it out of the box … lol

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I did the same thing and am just now learning (practising) with it. Mine is a tiny Tello drone that doesn't take great videos, but it's good for learning with. BUT...what looks like drone shots in this video is actually my Insta360 X3 camera on a long telescopic pole. I must look like a complete nutter walking around with it! But it works great for shots like this. I encourage you to get that drone out though! They are a lot of fun once you get the hang of flying them.

    • @waynesaller
      @waynesaller ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Smart move. Do not take it out of the box. That is the best way to learn to use it.

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mona! We think so. We don’t stay in ‘real’ RV parks, but have seen prices way above this for pretty much the same thing. We were at one just today to use their sani-dump. It cost us $10 to dump! And the RV park charges over $50 a day for a glorified gravel parking spot with a bit of grass between you and your neighbour. I shake my head over what people will fork over so they can plug in. Lol! I’ve lived off grid too long to understand it, I guess.😆Thanks for watching❤️

    any dog parks near by ?

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Good question. We don't usually take ours to dog parks as one is quite reactive. There is a huge open scrubby desert next to the RV parking lot, but it has busy highways on both sides and seems to be a place (far away) where locals dump garbage, so I wouldn't want to off leash there, but we do go for good walks. A check on google would probably answer your question though. Thanks for watching!

    Casino's are usually great places for RVer's to stay, The casinos want our business. Nice campground there.

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are! But, they get no business from us, lol! I think the only money we've gambled is the money they give you on the players cards they get you to sign up for. And I think we came out ahead on those too! Buffets will usually draw us in though. But, they seem to have become fewer since covid. Probably good for my waistline anyways😏

    It's a nice spot to rest for a day or two. I wouldn't want to stay there long term. Just not my kind of camping. I'd have to go in and try a slot machine or two while I was there, though, lol. 5 gal of water for 50 cents sounds very cheap. I'm surprised it's that cheap, really. Now I don't typically give anyone a hard time about mistakes in their vids cuz I make mistakes too, but you asked. So unless there was another that I missed, I noticed acquired was spelled incorrectly. But oh well. Stuff happens.

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You spotted it! Here’s your prize!🏆😁 While we much prefer the quiet spots in the wilderness for camping, we can’t complain about this spot. This year was the longest we’ve stayed here, but couldn’t pass up the $50 for a week deal😁It was really nice being able to leave the trailer and explore Yuma, knowing it was safe. The critters too. 🐈‍⬛🐕🐕There are so many water stations in Yuma! But finding one with a hose was perfect! .50 for 5 gallons was the best deal we found.
