I think this one is so well made, I like the animation, the voice acting and the characters. It all tied into hyping up the original game and the events before it. Both the original Dead Space and This movie, aswell as the graphic novel are worth a watch this halloween 2023! Happy Dead Space and Halloween everyone! 🎃🐈
It's actually the work of the Miner from Aegis VII according to the remake but it's ambiguous in the orignal, implied to be Kyne's doing in the movie based on his nonplussed reaction to it and being responsible for the rest of the sabotage on the Ishimura.
Yeah just like the United healthcare CEO rigged a kill switch to his rig to deny claims to so many Americansthat needed it in order to save his insurance company money. One has to ask themselves what's the point of paying up the ass insurance when they're whole model is "Delay, Deny, Depose"? What a wonderful world

This is just the best depiction of Mathius hands down. Not just his death, but his character overall. Idk how the remake had the blueprint for a great reimagining of this scene, only to give us the most bland and milktoast depictions of not only Mathius, but Kyne too.
100% agree on this comment. Naturally there has been quite a time gap between the two, but their effort on them in the remake was just lackluster. Even if they couldn't top the movie/original game characters, they surely could've done a better job than what we ended up with.
Yep me too, if done right and with good practical effects and well used CGI it would turn out great, but I do like the animated style of the movie so I wouldn't mind more of this :D aftermath had so many different types for example though that it wasn't as appealing to me
It was the marker exploiting him and slowly driving him more and more unstable and then insane which it does with everyone it comes in contact with. Plus with all the setbacks and events onboard as a catalyst he was easy prey.

The actor in the remake did OK playing the Captain, but Jim Cummings' portrayal is on a whole different level
