I just got a Bayliner VR5 with an outboard 150. I own and automotive shop and I could barely figure out how yo remove the engine cover because they never showed me at the dealer I bought the boat from. I completely and totally appreciate the videos you are making. I just hit the initial 20 hours and I'm about to do the first oil change, lower unit oil change and the fuel filter. So glad your videos are amazing for the visually learners on here. Thanks! Any other 150 videos I will definitely watch brother. Thanks! Hey are their air filters to change. Also powers steering service or filters? Anything you recommend? First boat I'm sure you can tell. 30 year auto shop owner. College degree toyota t ten certified. Drive chevys. Thanks brother
Welcome to the boating community! There are no air filters to change on your outboard. As far as power steering is concerned, that would likely be highlighted in your boat's operator's manual as that is a boat rigging component. In most cases, the power steering system doesn't need much maintenance. Aside from checking the fluid level, we're not aware of anything else you would need to address.
