You mentioned cope marine you're closer to us than we thought. We recently purchased our first boat near Pawnee, IL and we are happy with it. 2005 Skeeter tzx195 with a Yamaha Vmax 150 2 stroke on the back. My father in law has an 04 Crestliner with a 60hp four stroke and he loves it.
Another solid video. You make things so easy for people to follow and save time, money, and catch fish. Keep it up TJ81 looking forward to see what's next.
If you raise the motor up some, the drain plug area will drain the oil into a container without running anywhere on the lower unit. Cool feature. I have a 60hp.
Thanks, I have the same motor ! As a reminder, check your bearings every time out, I lost a wheel bearing on the highway last week and it made for a sour day.
Man, perfect timing. I have a 60 hp Mercury, and I'm getting ready to change oil. Very easy to follow! Will you be doing any other maintenance videos? Lower end or anything like that?
You made it look so easy!!!!👊🏻 Liked the oil filter tool.👍🏻 Finally good the new boat broken in now to get out and fish on it!! Loe that boat!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!
I Always make a filter tray out of a soda bottle, but that little tray is awesome....gonna find me one of them. Also, some oil drains are in terrible spots and always make a mess so depending what outboard someone has, they can use tubing or even make a tray or funnel with some cardboard or tin foil
@@TackleJunky81 Yeah, I know the feeling... I have had mine now for about a year, maybe more. I have yet to hit 20 hrs for the first one. At least I don't think I have. I'll have to check the OEM hour counter.
DONT overfill these engines. It says in the manual only fill it to about halfway between high and low dots. Oil heats up and it will show higher when the engine is warm.
You got the new truck, got the boat motor ready, no excuses now can't wait to see you out on it !!!!
💯 Appreciate you watching brother! 👊

Wow you made it so simple. SO how often should we do this?
I do it once a year, but it depends how many hours you put on your motor.
Thats a cool little tray
Thanks for knowledge skipper..
Bout to do my 8hp @my sailboat
👊💪

Sweet video even though I don't have a boat with a motor. I see some weather tech boxes. Are those for your truck?
Thanks buddy! Floor mats, but the truck came with some pretty nice ones so I figured I'd get some use out of them before I swap them out.

How many liters of tail fat does it take?
Great video! Simple and straightforward. Thanks! ❤
Appreciate you watching! 👊💪
Very good step by step video!
Thank you brother! 👊
Where did you find that little drip tray....
At the dealership back in parts.
How often should I change the oil? Not sure how is it measured in boat world: hours use, time, etc.
I honestly don't know, I change mine once a year.
Question, I want to know is?
if you need to top it off how do you know how much oil to put in or you supposed to see the oil ?
Just add a little at a time and check the dipstick.
Hey, James, pray y'all are well.
All is well brother and I hope all is well with you and yours! 👊
Great video brotha! My kayak doesn’t have any of that hahaha
Just rub some oil on the bottom of the kayak. Makes it move faster lol

Thanks for watching my dude! 👊
Thanks
What size filter
My pleasure!
@@jimmyflores8720 the parts I used are in the description.
I use an extractor vs draining the oil so much cleaner and drains most of the oil when it comes time to remove the filter very little oil drips
👊💪
Do you bother running the motor at all to warm it up before draining the oil? Just curious, not sure if that’s a requirement. Thanks
I do not.

OIL CHANGE!?!?! That boat been in the water long enough to even warrent a oil change? ROLFMAO!

And always check your oil level before taking her out on the lake. More engines have been ruined because the oil was too low or dirty.
💯

Tighten that oil filter way too much
And the model year of the motor is....is....is....apparently NOT important.
I will not change oil in this 4 stroke thro a away piece of shit!
No oil change and rigged up oil injection on this 4 stroke piece of shit
