As someone who has lived in nyc my whole life, this is ridiculously realistic. The lighting difference between the game and the footage can be the difference between the time of the day, even. Everything just looks so right and realistic. Many games love exaggerating features of New York, but this one really captures what its like
@@rahul-qm9fiit’s not that crazy a thing, there is a house in the same place as my grandmas in Illinois, on the crew 2, and in game it looks identical along with the surrounding area. Literally felt like I was living in the matrix when I came across that.
I’m glad they implemented the high traffic and pedestrian volume. Most games based on NY have such empty streets that it doesn’t even feel like NY anymore.

If anyone is interested, you can find the Ghostbusters firehouse in the Financial district between the police station and the Bacteria Buddies research station.
On the landmarks that they were ALLOWED to copy exactly, they did a great job. On many there is little difference at all from the real thing. I believe there are some that they were not permitted to copy in detail. Like Freedom Tower.
A couple of things that bug me is that they could of made the Williamsburg bridge look better, it looks lazy the way they designed it, and make more of the streets one way. 7th ave in Times Square goes south it’s not a two way street

As a native New Yorker, Insomniac did a great job capturing Manhattan. Most of it. It really feels like virtual New York, just like GTA IV.
