I can't believe you'd propose replacing the real imitation wood ends.

I love this Synth! It's one of my favorites. I play it through an old Harmony guitar amp from the 70's. Its shreds some sweet nasty bass! I love it! So heavy! Haters prolly gotta use an amp with some guts and balls!

Mine has the same pitch bend midi issue when I use it to sequence other synths, if you slide the pitch wheel fully up and down a few times it fixes it, I usually let it warm up for a few minutes, slide the pitch wheel fully up and down a few times then its good to go.

NAMM 2015 was this synth's Vietnam. I love it for making experimental noise! HOWLLL!

I own a lot of synths and I have to keep saying that it was a real bargain for the $200 USD that I bought it new for. Of course it has it's limitations but, it has a few features you don't see everyday like the "round robin". I have a Casio SK-60 that does that with samples. It shouldn't be your only synth but, If you can pick a Timbre Wolf up for sub $200, do it. It's very useful as a bass or lead unison. I'd actually like to try a few of them together to see what I could come up with. There's also some mods people have done to make it better and since it's so cheap, you can do them and not feel like you're destroying anything.

I bought one because of all the negative comments, and so was cheap, I reckon it was a bargain, and is great fun.

      How cheap was yours?

@@LilHoss It was several years ago in pre-pandemic times, and via ebay, who don't keep purchase records that long! However it must have been under £200 as that is the maximum I set myself when buying on ebay. I just did an ebay search and the only ones available are more than double my limit, plus postage from Japan! The important thing about the Timbre Wolf is that it makes some great noises that I can trigger via MIDI :)

@@MartinBaldock the reason I asked is there is one local to me for $50, I've been looking on TH-cam trying to see if it is worth it.

Sonically this thing was fucking badass. It was so frustratingly limited I had to sell mine but do NOT rule out buying again

Enough about criticizing the Timberwolf! I have one and I can make Acid Techno along with my Korg Electribe Drum Machine! Whatever it is, it’s a fun synthesizer to make different music, like Industrial, Ambient, Acid Techno, Intelligent Techno, Breakbeat, and different kinds of music, except for House, as longest they are trying to bring back Acid House, but that’s a different subject. That new lazy generation it’s used on DAWs and standing around with a computer, or they got used on synthesizers with FM sounds. Timbrewolf I see it as a Modular synth in a way that you can synchronize it with FX pedals or other synthesizer modules. So instead of criticizing and trying to convince that ignorant society with lame ass videos, why NOT trying that damn thing?
