A zeppelin has a skeleton and a blimp doesn't. The Hindenburg was a zeppelin because it had an internal framework, while a blimp relies on the gas to retain its shape.
Exploded since it was filled with Hydrogen.
Houses of the Holy
Yep, which is why it is now the Goodyear zeppelin, although they will never call it that.
Thank you for explaining this! I couldn't figure out the differences
@@dittmannrudolfrohr2149 Yep, they were short on helium. Bad move.
Shaking that package brought my cat's out of their slumber.
Same 😂
should not have given that dude $25 for the cubs piece, that guy is a sleezeball.
Door County sweatshirt..He came ready !!
He knows.
yeah he was a jerk. don't like that guy at all.
Agreed 👍....I know jerks pretty well because I myself am the king 👑 jerk. 😂
Yall are so judgemental on people ya never met. Crazy
The two older gentlemen with the matching shirts on are ADORABLE !! 🥰

Those 2 guys with matching shirts are such super fans! Love it! Very cool art also. I wish them the best!
They were hilarious but their stuff was junk for real
They've been roommates for years!
@@pseudokowski Only friends tho no funny business
One of them was a Vietnam Veteran. I've met a few Vietnam Vets in my day. Hell on Earth from what I've heard.
Very cute couple
Ruby dancing in the sun ❤ Honey came running 😊 those pieces that man made for y'all were wonderful!
lol both my cats came running into my office when they heard you shaking the treats
Always fun to watch another cool video from yall! God Bless and stay safe!😊
I like that you're showing the eBay comps at the start of the first deal. I hope you carry on doing that.
As a model builder I can vouch that Tamiya models are a lot better than Revell models by a significant margin. I buy them here in Europe even though they are 40% more expensive.
Good rule of thumb for life is always choose Japanese
@TopClips7777 if Scandinavia makes the thing I buy that.
Buttered Popcorn my favorite! The bag should have a chart on the back. We loved the Jelly Belly tour out here in California. Gift shop is wild!!!
1930’s-40’s Hubley, Lancaster. PA
Value is contingent on original paint and tires, and no breaks.
It would be cool to see some more of your interesting sourcing outings. There haven't been any of those in a while. Those pieces the guy made you were very cool, that looks like a fun hobby.
The Hindenburg was filled with hydrogen - that's the main reason for the disaster. The word for those airships I've always heard is dirigible. The Goodyear blimp is filled with helium.
I believe the long wire antenna played a role in the disaster too but I'm not keen on history.
they said it was a zeppelin filled with "lead"... funny how the brain works
I think zeppelin would probably be correct also
yes and it was filled with hydrogen because of US banned the sale of helium to germany :D
That what I thought it was hydrogen gas. And at the time the Germans had Zeppelin blimps before WWII. These been around quite sometime before the Hindenburg crashed in 1937 I believe.
i always enjoy your show. im so glad that you are doing 2 shows a week. i am loving those old post cards.
Thank you Peter for showing the bad buys it shows us that even a pro like you can make an error once and a while !!
It's always bad news when Nick comes out to the shop floor! 😋 Thanks to all your crew, always entertaining. Best wishes from a UK viewer
Thanks Pete, needed a good diversion from everyday life's problems, lol
Great video as always. Thanks guys.
Cheers to you Peter and Honey!🥰
Glad you found a treat for Honey. I was feeling bad for her for a few seconds.
Cool art Thom and Bob!!!
The "Hindenburger'" had me
Makes me hungry.
It made me want to quote Rick and what he says EVERYTIME someone brings up blimps or zeppelin's.
A Zeppelin is a hard structured flying device that fills with hydrogen. The Blimp is a completely empty structureless ship filled with helium.
🔥🍔🔥
Hi Peter, like your channel. Those two plastic model kits are some of the top quality brands.
Cheers Joe from Canada.
Love that Benchmade Crooked River
Lures I just buy whole tackle boxes at rummage sales for next to nothing
That's the way to do it. You usually end up with a gem or two.
Love the channel. It’s a slice of real life in a fake media world.
Those AC Williams and Hubley cars look pretty incredibly close, when they're making the same model car, and Google Lens isn't always right, but it sounds like if all of the Hubley say Patented 4 on the bottom just like this one, I suppose it is a Hubley.
We have an auction company in miami. Every time we had any nazi memorabilia it sold very well. That and KKK things as well. History is history. Erotica always sells good too.
Some people have a particular fascination for Nazi items. I think their appreciation extends a little beyond the ‘history’ of these pieces. Examples of such admiration can be seen among the comments.
@@MarcoTheGreat2008 not denying that. I'm sure some people see it as relevant in history. Some find admiration where it shouldn't. As everything - the few bad shouldn't mess it up for the mass
Don't feel bad about overpaying for that car. I'm sure Jelly Belly has a Crow flavored jelly bean in that bag to eat...lol. Also I gotta Whole Lotta Love for those Zeppelin airships. Great vid as always!
when otto popped up in the end I thought it was pete copying the voice of the last person he made a deal with LOL
Those two gentlemen with the Ruby and Honey t-shirts were adorable. 👏👏👏😍😻
The plane looks like a Bleriot XI, the plane that crossed the English Channel as a first. The airship could be the Patrie, one of the French airships from the very early 20th century.
I agree. it is probably around 1910. Very cool,
Good Morning Craigslist hunter
21:26 I love, the constipated OTTER!
That art is so cool.
the whopper plopper is a dangerous lure,,, coming back off a tree.... luv ww2 trench art... nam stuff was great as well..... keep the unopened models and i will buy as long sealed.. i have also seen reopened...
The gorget has a number on the tabs that holds the chain on, the chain links have a number, they should match
great video. are you going to post all your models?
Great video Pete
How is the Door County place going. When I go up there I would love to drive past it just to see where it was.
Doesn't matter.... obviously just hang in there Peete, we're rootin' for ya'!!!!!
Hindenburg. But, it wasn't blown up in a war.
6:33 That Benchmade is from the Hunt line. Possibly it's a "Crooked River."
On a side note, I was stationed at [the then] NAES Lakehurst (now,..a part of JB MDL); the location where *The Hindenburg* tragically crashed. From the NE side of the building/our offices, there's a clear view of the _EXACT SPOT_ where she went down.
And just FYI Ryan was right it was called the Hindenburg- that lighter was worth more that the $50 y’all gave for it and those chairs- I did type this before he looked it up lol
Bad Buys, Bad Buys, what you gonna do when you have to talk to you? (Yourself) Been there done that.
KEEP THOSE TUBES GLOWING !!!
I hope those 2 kool guys see the comments because I'm in Milw,WI an I would love to chat with them !
Bench made has the great warranty to go with it.
I was telling my sister about this channel today, how there's interesting customers and items, and a lovely cat and a big parrot, you know a macaw.
She said, what like an actual real parrot?
I said, Yeah, a real parrot, the real macaw.
Very clever
You meen the real macoy? I saw what you were trying there tho
U should have did a big whatnot action advertise for a few then just do fishing lewers now that would be fun
Nie wiedziałem, że jesteś Polakiem. Uwielbiam Twoje filmy i lubię Ciebie, bo jesteś dobrym człowiekiem.
Dem boats are epic! Is there a videer on purchasing all dem model ships and planes?
2:24 Soligen is the key word to look for on the ricasso of knives made in Germany post 70's. I don't buy any German knife that is not marked Soligen post 70's.
Can you show off some of the fishing stuff??
Hindenburg was right even though he called it Hindenburger (😂. Zeppelin is what they called those crafts.
Zeppelin was the company name, after the founder Ferdinand von Zeppelin. I think the generic name would be airship or dirigible. Hindenburg was the name of that particular ship.
Benchmade Crooked River is a good knife
I feel like you’re much more generous than most pawn shops
8:10 me yelling at the my monitor "Zeppelin-Zeppelin" 🤣
I love WWII memorabilia. Especially the "bad guys" stuff. It's extra cool because Hugo Boss designed their uniforms so they're slick, and 99% of stuff we have in the US came from some man killing another. It's morbidly fascinating.
Not entirely accurate - Hugo Boss (and a few other companies) produced the uniforms but weren't actually involved in their design.
Saying you took it off a guy you killed, sounds better I guess than I took it from a drawer in a house we looted
Please do not leave the scissors when Honey or the birds are around @1:05. Thank you. I love your videos.
Certina is actually a very well-known brand in Europe. Swiss brand, since 1888
Hey Pete Carful with the Jelly Belly Jelly Beans They have 1 Flavor Called VOMIT
"this is real stuff. and this is a poster."
😃
Zeppelin is BOTH the name of a company and the name of the airship it self. This is where the confusion comes from. Ferdinand von Zeppelin pioneered the design of the Zeppelin and founded the first company to create them. Hindenburg is the famous one everyone knows about burning. There was 10 Zeppelin crashes before that one. That was just the one they finally decided its time to pull the plug.
The Hindenburg was recorded by all 5 major news organizations at the time unlike the others.
@@steadyshakey6599 yes that's a big reason. It was also a commercial airship and it was also later stage. They were still optimistic they could improve the technology before. By the time it happened in the late 30s, air plane technology was far more promising both militarily and commercially. Between the extensive real time media coverage, the commercial nature of the Hindenburg, and airplane technology showing far more promise, all these factors are what finally put an end to the advancement of the zeppelin
Stairway to heaven

Nah, the song took off like a helium balloon.
Do you guys have any bass guitars at the moment? My daughter is looking for another one. 🎸
Nothing better than a hindenburger with a side of sauerkraut
Peter u should have did the flip coin thing on that guy u gave him 25 bucks for the lame poster.. That poster sold online for 24 bucks..
The begging and whining was pathetic. I'd have passed on it or offered 15 bucks at most on it.
Your cat is so beautiful!
She’s so friendly too. I went into the store once (just to see her, really 😊). I squatted down on my knees to pet her and she climbed straight into my lap and fell asleep! I sat on the floor petting her in my lap for a while. Such a sweetie. ❤
@@MK-Hogan awesome!
6:56 That's a decent trade for both parties.
Put the lures on auction one at a time.
I got a branded "whopper-popper" in one of those "mystery" tackle boxes from wally world. It was $18 for the whole kaboodle...
Made in west supposed lures are super expensive , made in China cost probable a fraction of a cent to make . . be careful out there
The guy should donate it to dragon man's military museum in Colorado. I know Mel Bernstein the owner of the museum would gladly love to have it in his museum. Dragonman's

Absolutely, he's an absolute gem of a guy
Pete, I collect knives and I’m about 90% sure you just traded that man a fake Benchmade
It’s too thick and just looks off. That’s a $12 Ali-Baba knockoff I’m almost sure. I own a crooked river and that one is fake
Hindenburg was one the burned. I know some people get weird with Nazi stuff but if it's of period most all that stuff was brought back by troops. Different view of it I suppose. Horrible time that had great tragedy but also a great victory.
The tragedy is the opposite of the official narrative

He should look up Legacy Collectibles they in WW II German stuff.
Hey Pete! Over the years ,how many items has honey knocked over items in the shop???
zero
The old dudes with the matching shirts are gold😂
Old guys always want way too much for their old used lures. "This was $25 a piece in the store" brother they don't even sell those ancient lures anymore
He’s talking about the equivalent version and size
That's literally why the new ones cost less now..
Old handmade lures go for good money. They work fishing. And people collect them.
A new lure is just a mass manufactured piece of plastic.
Actually, that's part of the reason the guy wanted more. They don't make ANYTHING as well or use very good materials any longer. Most lures are plastic. I have some hand made Scandinavian, beautifully painted and airbrushed musky plugs that I paid top dollar for, still in their original boxes, never used and I would expect to get more than I paid for them. They are now Collector's Pieces and you couldn't buy them now if you paid double for them.
Old lures sell great on ebay!
We aren't old, just intelligent and seasoned unlike punks today
What ever happened to that one Hispanic short dude that worked here months back?......He just vanished, and no one noticed?? And Kevin popped up instead....I'm curious?
