Hi Kevin, What I'm about to say I hope changes the way you think about viewer sales. 95% of your sales that come from your viewers are because we LOVE and RESPECT YOU and YOUR FAMILY and we all know just how hard you work to provide for your family. We also see how hard you work at teaching your children how to be great people and productive in life. At the same time you manage to take the time to create entertaining and informative content for us viewers. So when we buy Items from you it is just our way of giving back to you! Most times we don't even need the item or someone else may sale it cheaper but we ( your viewers) don't care. We are showing you and your beautiful family our support. So the next time you hear, or read a bad comment about viewers sales you can feel pride in knowing what viewer sells really mean! Sincerely your friend, fan and most importantly your supporter Berry (Flipping Daytona Beach)
Exactly, we'll said! Those ppl are just envious. I watch other ebay youtubers too. Most never even mention viewer sales. But of course they have them too. You don't work this hard for free! OMG! Viewer sales, good for you! If I knew how to make videos and edit. I'd do it too! 😊 It's called marketing, be proud, and ignore the haters. Thanks for all you do, and family too!
Many long time Avon customers get attached to their favorite shades of lipstick and nail polish and they have been discontinued. There is also a large amount of Avon collectors that are looking for discontinued perfume bottles and figurines.
Agree with the lipsticks. There's a L'Oreal one that's been discontinued that's my favorite and I purchase it when I see it. I'm 62 and I found that most people my age are getting rid of all their 'collectibles" as they downsize and move to smaller homes. And young people don't collect things like that anymore. And a lot of people are into the minimalism trend and getting rid of that sort of clutter.. So those kind of things, like collectible plates, figurines, not something I really want to source. My best selling items are replacement parts, usables and "buy it for life" type of premium brands. And pet products, people spend crazy money on their pets.
Yay for you!!! You should be proud of selling to viewers. No need to apologize any longer. Just thank your customers and move along. Others are just jealous!
eBay is a part time side hustle for me. I’m only sell because it is fun and any money I make I reinvest or put towards family vacations. I just made a video talking about how my sales plummeted while I had a return case opened. I still think eBay is playing games with the algorithm daily.
I must have got beta'd into the open offer program. Twice in the last 4 months I have accepted an offer that wasn't payed for within a day and someone else came and bought it full price. Excellent idea by Ebay!
The new platform you came up with is brilliant. Sometimes, I find amazing prices on stuff I will never list, so pass it up. Now, I will pick it up and pass it on to someone who needs it.
I agree Kevin, It's good to have options. I don't really go elsewhere but when things are slow on #ebay It's good to have options. I should be Cross listing but I don't... It's so much work
Kevin, let me add something to what you said--"Ease, convenience and cost savings..." Let me add that I have been able to find obsolete and discontinued stuff that's not available anywhere else. I'm a fixer. For all of these environmentally conscious people, they should really love eBay in this regard--I can find parts that are not available anywhere else to fix things. Example: Getting our house ready to sell three years ago to move out of California and our over-the-range microwave broke before we were ready to put our house on the market. I needed a new touch panel for the front, but that part was discontinued and not available from ANY online parts vendor. I found a used one on eBay and fixed my microwave. That kept TWO appliances out of landfill or at least from being scrapped for metals--Mine and the donor appliance that must have broken something else. It saved me the cost for a new microwave and the hassle of removing my old one and installing a new one. Keep up the good work!
@@VersatileRaps Yes we have to go out sourcing. But I think you missed the intent of the comment you were replying to. My biggest issue is with eBay after selling for 12 years is them taking fees out on shipping we don't even profit from shipping or at least I don't cause I weigh everything at home and try to give my customers the best deal I can I get they are a business also but that's just greedy
What if you just mark as shipped n pay the post office for a label? Is the eBay discount shipping fee still less than if you don't get taxed on the shipping?
In my opinion, viewer sales for you are more important than all other sales because you’ve worked harder for them and put way more time into them than anyone even realizes… I’m not downgrading your other sales but I’m praising you and your family for the hard work and deserved viewer sales you receive!!!

@@kibble-net you do understand state revenue departments allow retailers to keep a small prtion of the sales tax, usually 4-5%, to cover the costs of remitting sales tax? And in CA, all eBay sales are deemed to take place at their company headquarters in San Jose, and they have a deal with San Jose to keep 30% of the sales tax. Think how many sales their are in just CA. They make millions in profits to remit sales taxes, and they continue to charge fees on that at the full FVF costs, not the 2.9% other platforms do.
Your comments don't match the title of your TH-cam. In your comments you complain about EBay and then turn around and praise them for something else. Just call it like it is. EBay sucks now ! When I posted my last three items for sale I was very specific of the title of the auction. A day later when I checked the listing it wasn't even on the first page which was full off other auctions that weren't even close to what I searched for. My next biggest complaint is bogus sellers (with thousands of sales and 100% rating) are listing items that are "New" or "Open Box" and a closer look at the items they are Amazon returns that were installed and removed probably because they were defective. I report these sellers and nothing happens, EBay ignores this behavior because even if it's wrong if it sells they still get their commission.
While I wholeheartedly agree with the comments on fees tacked onto shipping- the discount ebay negotiates on out behalf outweighs the 13.25% fee- by a long shot. Especially on FedEx. Took me a few years, but I've finally wrapped my head around it and understand that I'm still winning.
You know I like to sell Avon. It's usually really cheap, and doesn't sell for very high, but it does sell and usually pretty fast. I bought a banker's box full of stuff for $10 and sold most of it within 2 months and made almost $500 from the box. I had about 20% or so of the items that ended up being long tail, but they sell eventually. I keep them inside zip-lock bags so they don't smell so much! I do avoid most of the shaped bottles.
A couple YEARS ago ebay said they were going to roll out that offer feature where it's still for sale until paid for. Then they went with the statement that all accepted offers will be "immediate payment required." They just can't make up their mind, and not everyone has the same thing applied to their account. I have neither. I don't get a lot of offers, but I don't have best offer on most of my listings. I still get unpaid offers, so I wish at least one of these things would be applied to my store. I am tired of the non-payers.
This new offer accepted thing confused me as a buyer ! Made offer it was accepted and it showed me that two f the same item had sold and auction only showed 1 quantity! I paid and didn’t know I had won or not cause of this new offer thing 🤔

Welcome to the ebay algorithm. Do you feed the beast every day? Do you promote? Do you have 100% positive feedback? Personally, I find that when I feed the beast, my sales stay consistent. I try to list a few items each day. If I do more, I try that same amount each day, If I don't list for a week, my sales and views drop off.
I honestly have to wonder when they'll figure out that things that benefit both sellers and the platform are a better idea than things just benefitting the platform. Keep the sellers selling and keep the money rolling. They get paid, so eBay gets paid. It ought to be a no-brainer. (but this is ebay we're talking about and brains aren't their strong suit.) I also wonder how badly the "update" turned blue-screen event messed all sales platforms up. It messed with airlines and big banks, and even if selling platforms weren't directly involved they could be caught in the fallout.

your right but when they didn't charge fee on shipping people would do a buy it now for 10 plus 70 in shipping so some sellers ruined it for everyone.
