When I worked in a junkyard 20 years ago this is what I dealt with on a consistent basis. People pulling in with BMW’s and asking for a $500 radiator for $10 because they claim their broke.

That last guy is just like a guy in my street who lives with some people from his church group and talks non-stop. He kept pestering me when I was outside for work around the house, then he asked if he could move in with us as a tenant because it's not working out with his church group and he would pay rent from his disability pension. I gave him a couple of days pay in cash for work on a building site as my laborer/assistant and he was so slow to move and taking way too many smoking breaks. The worst part was that I didn't know he didn't have wheels so I had to bring him all the way home first after work and then I had to go do quotes afterwards. He didn't want to come with me and sit in the truck so it was like an extra 1hr travelling for me on each of the two days.
Never again with the sob stories.

tbh i hate people like these. His son pays 1400$/month, he can't stop his bad habits to make ends meet and puts his problems on everyone else. I had issues too, i had to cut down on expenses, put everything on food and rent and worked min wage to make things work. Never begged people for money

@@cogs11 I hear you, I got into a fairly bad work injury in 2013 that resulted in 4 surgeries. I went from making $75,000 per year to making $11,500 per year on disability. I had to cut down on major expenses. I sold all my power tools I used for work. The guy says he is not begging for that extra $5.00 but he would not shut up about it for 10 min. Everyone has issues. It is how you look at it.

When I was addicted to opiates(heroin and all) I was the only one out of my friends that had my own apartment. We were sitting there playing Forza horizon 2 and my one buddy was like, "It would be cool to own this car one day". And I had this Ah-Ha moment. That I didn't want to be "the guy" sitting here, playing Forza horizon 9, still saying, "I wanna own that car one day" There comes a point where you have to worry about yourself and start telling people to f*** off. They will use you and when your used up, throw you to the wind. Think this guy would show up if your shop burned down? Definitely not. You're a good dude Pete. Don't let these people get extra out of you. Friendliness and kindness is just taken advantage of now adays and that's why I stay to myself and have 5 years clean next month😁💪
