That Netflix special. Its fantastic. I loved hearing him talk about the issues and worry behind the scenes on a dif podcast. It was interesting. Been following Pete for decades. What i love about him always but especially this special is that he has my brain. The speed of conversation. The jokes themselves. The wording. The silliness. The weirdness. The topics. The genius. Its so rare you meet or find someone on your brainwave or wavelength and bam. It was fantastic. Loved it. A fellow religious trauma survivor neurodivergent weird hilarious human. I couldnt believe that i said out loud "he said unhoused but also dick" then 2 seconds later that was the punchline out of his mouth. I fucking love everything Pete does and has done and i cant wait to watch this episode.
Ive been watching every week since season 15. Its only an hour and a half out of my week. Sure most sketches suck. Thats the nature of the show. Theres always one or two jems per episode
I think these guys have a great energy - I just hope they focus just a bit more on (and this is not a criticism, more of a hope) the WRITING with what they do, going forward. A lot of what I've seen on SNL is funny conceptually and it's carried by their energy and editing and their delivery - but I hope they're soaking in "The Kids in the Hall", "Python", "Mr. Show", etc., and really hone in on writing *sustained* sketches that have peaks and valleys as that's the key to a long career. Believe me, I want nothing more than another great comedy "troupe", as there's a sad lack of them these days - so hoping they keep writing and come up with something truly great.

By then, you weren’t performing your special, so I was afraid you weren’t getting the juice you wanted out of it there. We were offended on your behalf. Anyway, we’ve listened to your pod for years and are huge fans. It was a dream to see you so just know you at least had some weirdos out there in the crowd. We hope to see you at Largo soon!

So I followed you for about 10 years, so explain to me why I'm only subscribing to your TH-cam right now Pete. This is on you. Is it the marketing? Is it the messaging? It's definitely not this trio of extremely young little boys trying to be funny that are extremely funny but I don't know how the hell you let me fail at this and not subscribe for literally 25% of my life.
