Easily one of the best comedy I’ve ever listened to. I literally laughed so hard that I was crying. Two of my two top five comedians talking about the rest. This made my day!

I saw Pete in a small comedy club in Provo, Utah FOREVER ago and he had a joke that made absolutely no sense that everyone laughed at. I was in the front couple tables and said something like "What?" or "Huh?" and Pete called me out and was like, "See! This guy knows! What I just said made no sense at all!" Then he made fun of me for five straight minutes and had me laughing so hard I could barely breath. Good memories, Pete. Thanks.
I haven't stopped thinking about Bill Burr's New York, New York since this morning, and I'm worried I may never stop thinking about it.

It's a great program, exposing how Muppets work, and showcasing various CGI puppetry techniques which were cutting-edge at the time. ❤ I'm gonna re-watch it after this!

Mike, I just discovered your podcast after your appearance on Smartless. The set up about you being with other dads did not make me laugh, but when you said nah, I'm cool, I laughed hysterically! So glad I discovered you
I clicked on this thinking "I wonder if Pete Holmes is still a huge asshole." At 35 seconds, I knew the answer was yes.
How is he an asshole?
This is the second episode I've watched. The first was Jimmy Carr. This is truly beautiful to me. I've had the pleasure and benefit of being able to be open with my male friends for my whole life. I've never understood when people say men don't communicate. Thank you for being a wonderful example of how men bond. As a bonus, it's all really funny, as anything coming from Mike would be. :-D
59:26 Jokes In General is the nonexistent comedy podcast I’d sub to in heartbeat. Tagline: “The JIG is up, standing.” Both a play on “the jig is up”, “the joke’s over”, etc. and the fact that it’s a podcast about *stand up*. By episode seven, it’d just be “upstanding”, but it’d still work.
I had a similar experience to Pete's scorpion story. I don't often tell people about the time I was bit by a black widow spider because it's kind of a boring story, and it makes me look like an idiot. I rushed to the hospital, parked my car right in front of the ER entrance, and ran inside screaming like a raving lunatic; certain I was going to drop dead at any moment.
As it turns out, I didn't need an antivenom shot because black widow bites aren't a big deal for a fit nineteen-year-old kid with no underlying health issues. The most "exciting" parts of the story are that I nearly got a ticket for blocking the ER entrance and an old man in the waiting room with a knot on his head the size of Shaquille O'Neal's fist called me a dumb^ss.
I love most comedians because they are some of the most insightful, imaginative, and witty individuals on this planet. You're looking at two examples.
1:01:30. Instead of Scarlett Johansson, use someone much less impressive. Perhaps the Home Depot girl who mixes the paint or a Dennys waitress.
At approx. the 1 hour mark, where you end up with that joke is raising five kids with ScarJo in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Maybe there are even real zombies feeling sorry for you.
