Winnipeg is a funny place and people either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it. It's a great city to live in for all the reasons this video mentioned, and more!
Things I love about Winnipeg: 1) The summertime. After a long hard winter .. it feels so nice to have a warm summer. Sitting outside on a warm summer evening, is my favorite. 2) The nearby lakeside beaches. Kind of related to my summer point. There are many really nice beaches approximately an hour away. I grew up visiting Winnipeg Beach, Grand Beach, Patricia Beach, Gimli and St. Milo. 3) Easy to get around .. no long slow commutes like you find in other cities. 4) Cost of living. The cost of housing allows people to buy a really nice home that would not be possible in a place like Toronto. 5) The variety of culture and sports. You can go see live theater one day and an NHL game the next day and a big concert the next and a ballet the next.
@@TheKemi-ingWay thanks a lot. I moved to Winnipeg from a smaller town in Manitoba called Altona. Trust me you got to see the southern province it’s amazing. Winkler, Morris, Mordan, Gretna etc.
I love nature a lot,and I know I will thrive in Winnipeg when we finally relocate. Thank you so much mummy Ayanfe for all the infos you dish out .Love from Nigeria ❤️
Landed in Winnipeg two weeks ago, and I must say that Winnipeggers are friendly and welcoming. Most people are willing to assist if you ask them for help. I met you last week (evening) at Agriculture, U of M if you could remember me screaming......Mummy Ayanfe!!!
Hi Gladys. I will also be coming to Winnipeg next month, How did you find a house I have 3 kids and my husband is coming to study at the University of Winnipeg
@@stafa5568 hi Sarah,it has been a learning process. We have adjusted to the new culture and it's so far good,we are setting in well for sure. Everybody needs to go through the experience to tell a good story.l have gone through it and moving on well so far .Lts always good to move away from home for a while and be a little uncomfortable for a good future cause. I pray everybody in this journey gets it at hand.
Hello Kemi, you are doing very great job and God bless for that. I was the lady that asked about Quebec but I couldn't get any information from anyone that could help. How can you be of help in relocating to Winnipeg? Job, accomodations,I just need how to get you over theee
If you have a family, they can sponsor/nominate you. If otherwise and if you have the money, try the study route. Or check other provinces. If you look at the government of Canada website you will see all the other different pathway. Good luck
I love the mosquitos, long cold winters, lots of snow, pot holes in all the roads, droughts in summer, high humidity, high property taxes, crime - I love it all. Oops I meant to say hate. I moved.
That free candy part ehn... If it's my country Nigeria, my people will tag it "sacrifice to renew wealth or power". Lol There needs to be a mental shift

Speaking of sponsorship or nomination. If a family member or an emolying company sponsor , will the applicant need IELTS ?
