  • (This is the revised version of the previous video - More about Dorothy and the Queen Elizabeth Coronation)
Dorothy Kilgallen was the greatest media star of the 20th Century.
No one did more than her.
    Newspaper 25 years
    Radio 20 years
    TV 15 years
    Hollywood
    World Traveler
    Why is she forgotten?
    What did she learn?
    Why did she die?
Why would her family and friends not talk about her death?

All the captions are accurate summaries of the truth except the one that says her secretary died two days later. This reflects a myth about a friend of Dorothy’s named Florence Pritchett Smith.
They were friends but not close friends. Florence was never anyone’s secretary. She wrote a weekly column about food and cooking for the New York Journal-American. Dorothy wrote a separate column for the same newspaper. It was never about food or cooking.
The myth about Florence being Dorothy’s secretary and dying mysteriously originated in the 1960s with one of the first conspiracy theorists, Penn Jones. Decades later the internet was launched. It began circulating the myth, unfortunately. Bloggers retyped the unreliable text that Jones had circulated in the 1960s with a vanity publisher.
Dorothy Kilgallen could have been murdered. Florence Pritchett Smith could not have been. Florence’s son told me so. There is no evidence that Penn Jones met either of these ladies.

I wish I could find Dorothy's book "Girl Around The World" and the movie "Fly Away Baby." And what is that beautiful music for the Kennedy funeral?

I wish that the JFK investigators would use Jack Ruby's real name Jacob Rubinstein ... he said that he was at the jail the day he assassinated Oswald ... was as an interpreter for an Israeli newspaper.
Little known fact ... Ben Gurian was in Dallas the day of JFK's assassination.
    Who was Michael Collins Piper?

We all have noticed a heart shape diamond pendant on Arlene's neck ? It was stolen from her in 1988 as
she got out of the taxi. It was gift from her husband Martin Gabel, who sometimes has been on the panel.

`Dorothy was an invited guest by Queen Elizabeth for the coronation. She was not part of the press corp. Her around the world trip made her famous world wide. She was nominated for Pulitzer Price for her writing about the coronation.

Here is a video that promotes the new book about Dorothy Kilgallen. After you click on the link, scroll down a little and you find a black and white photo of her seated at her typewriter. Click on it and the video plays. Running time is 3 minutes 45 seconds. You Tube doesn't have it. www.markshawbooks.com/

As god as my witness Dorothy attended the infamous wedding in 1995... Photos of her exist at the Hyatt in Mpls. PG can be the hero as he holds the photos. Follow the yellow brick road to our family legacy. At least the govt or organization gave her an out. I'll likely get more bad blood during my next transfusion over sharing this....
