People are WONDERFUL in Dominica. When we first lived there, we lived on the NATIVE side of the island. Never did we regret that. The woman living next to us Frevina(sp) Ettiena (sp?) brought us a bag of grapefruit when we first arrived. I asked her, "HOW do you eat?" It was over 20 years ago...There were no "American" grocery stores there. I was concerned. She laughed and assured me I would have plenty to eat. Every evening we would come in exhausted and she would have a meal on our table covered with a table cloth. It was incredible food! We never had to lock our doors! Also, the way the fisher man make the boats.........Back then, the way they made their buildings without much machinery was incredible. At that time, they cut their grass with a machete......... Such GREAT people with open hearts! No matter how poor you were, there was a Joy and a Pride within that you just don't see in poor Americans! LOVE Dominica and am loving your series!
Yep!! Very happy people! Had to learn to stop smiling and greeting strangers when I left... Your episodes have made me eager to get home... Thanks for your efforts, greatly appreciated.
I must say I am so confused to what I want to do. I see Dominica and I feel it is where I belong. I never been there before, but before leaving the states I researched it. and orginally I planned to go, but because I didnt know anyone I decided to come to St. Kitts where I knew ppl. And I am very very very disappointed. Its really boring and the housing sucks. I just found a place in wallhouse and I cant decide what I want to do. Looking at your very nice videos just made it that much harder......:( is it true that US citizens can stay 6 months right off the bat, or do you have to apply for up to 6 months?
Keasha what is the name of the beach in the last shot? Where is it located? It looks beautiful...My partner would like to see a river lime...thanks for the great work.
The beach in the last shot is Woodford Hill Beach in the north east, absolutely gorgeous. Near Batibou Beach, which in my opinion is the most gorgeous because on the island. That one will be featured in the finale episode. And I met the guys playing dominoes in Marigot lol Nice guys. Thanks for watching:)
