      I'm exactly on it... Keeping myself healthy as possible and besides My One World God I'm here to impress no one NO ONE. I love it.... Tried the stereo type life just so I won't feel what if. Learned lessons took responsibility and moved on to the only truth which is you will die one day and no one goes with you. Name that you worked to make all your life is called a body even by your children and spouse. So Live Full time. Travel 🧳 as much .

      I agree. A couple years ago I helped someone who had a hydroponic farm. He was selling his produce at a local farmer's market on the weekends so I was going to his place out in the countryside and helping him package it and bring it to market. I loved working out in the greenhouse and being away from the city sounds. It was peaceful and great.

    I grew up with my mother constantly telling me “rich isn’t the person who has more, but the person who needs less”. There’s different ways to interpret this but it wasn’t until I was about 30 that I finally understood this saying. A similar quote that my father used to tell me is “the urge to buy will consume you”. Thanks mom & dad

    • @DJ-kw6zk
      @DJ-kw6zk 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +21

      THIS. People often seem to think that 'living a simple life' or being a 'minimalist' means going to an extreme, where deprivation is a necessary result. That's not the point at all. It is simply a process of making decisions and forming behaviors where you make more room for more important things. Example: I simplified my life years ago by leaving social media (except for this YT platform). Leaving all that nonsense allowed more room & serenity in my psyche for friends, family, meaningful activities, etc.

I think they don't want to have to think about what is going on in the world or their past or something so they need to be involved in everyone's business and always need to be thinking about the next thing rather than sitting and like, just existing for a day.

    Simple Truth: EVERYONE IS WIRED DIFFERENT …. My Dad enjoys being a busy body…his wife enjoys sitting on the couch being stagnant . My neighbor loves having materialistic stuff, my other neighbor strives & enjoys being frugal. My aunt loves learning and still takes college classes into her late 60’s with absolutely no gain except her feeling of learning something new. Me, myself, I’d rather do manual labor over using my brain which seems way more exhausting..unlike my wife who’d prefer to use her brain over doing manual labor. The KEY is to NOT SELF SABOTAGE by VOLUNTARILY bringing UNNEEDED STRESS into your life.

About 20 years ago, I had a sort of "awakening" and I took a much more utilitarian approach to buying stuff and got rid of the BS. I only buy what I need and look at them as tools, not possessions. My phone and laptop are old, but they're still good communication/information tools. My car is old but it's still a good transportation tool. Why keep working for things you just going to either forget about or get rid of in a few years after toiling to get it in the first place . Repurposing these resources has allowed me to remodel a property on my own schedule. Im happy in a small cozy cabin at 58 doing God’s will. My vehicles are old but look brand new and I have taught myself to be thankful for the little blessings, understanding that blemishes on things is a medal to living life in it’s fullest. Now ( as I grow older) I have a focus on making less more as I clean up and organize the clutter.Relationships and experience of life in nature are far more important than conquering the status quo lifestyle to have the best technology molded from shiny plastic. When your life is focused on achieving and getting things, you deprive yourself of your most precious asset: the present moment. Your are never enjoying your life in the now, paying attention to the birds singing, the sunset, how the warm water in the shower feels in your skin, the laughter of your children, etc. your mind is always somewhere else in what you don’t have and want. That’s the real hamster wheel. So much better to live simply, surrounded by nature that nurtures you and enjoying the now.

Nowadays we have planes we have beautiful boats beautiful cars phones if you don’t like those things than yea that’s pretty weird. Some people I mean love just being in nature and just living I guess and looking at nature or whatever. But most people want to achieve and make there life’s better. And yea that’s the reason we’re even talking to eachother from across the world on TH-cam. Because of people with drive and ambition and vision. Basicly some people are lazy and some people have ambition and vision and drive. The ones with ambition and drive and vision they make the most money and are able to own the nicest things in this life. And funnily enough girls a lot of the time love those types of men cause yea those characteristics are awesome. Nature and enjoying beautiful scenery and all that is beautiful and awesome also but achieving and yea bettering yourself and your situation that brings me happiness also foreel. When I was at university, overwhelmed with college studies, I used to think about the same things and I used to envy prehistoric times when our lecturers mentioned how simplistic their lives were. I would often feel some yearning for nature and simplicity.. Some things just felt so unnecessary and artificial to me. I remember my friends talking about how Denmark decided to reduce working hours to 6 instead of 8 and I thought how fruitful it'd be to work less and have more time to rest and do all the other things people want to do. However, the slavery system never wants to allow that easily. They don't want us to have the time to think through all of this. This year was a celebrity exposee year for instance. All the people that they polished up and sold to us turned out to be monsters or the abused ones behind closed doors. There remains one question now, how long will we continue to put these people into pedestals and how long will we continue to give our self-power to this system?

    The only commentary I will ad about hunter gatherer simplicity and modernity... there was like never more than 200 million people on the planet at a time until like the industrial revolution when complication raised the carrying capacity.... now there are 8 billion people, in a very short amount of time... THAT IS A LOT... we still have all the space and resources for it but it is SO complex.

      I agree,im a 35yo male who hunts and fishes here in australia.Alot of those skills are lost,however even with our bigger populations people have become more lazy than ever.
      You can live a self sufficient life style and live off venison & fish if your willing to learn.There's so many resources here that people could take advantage of to ease the cost of living pressure...however people just prefer to blow their paycheck at the pub,alcohol and on drugs and whinge about things on social media.
