Some of us, forties, fifties, etc... that aren't huge - we often will think "i'm not in that bad of shape," and then go and chase a kid, or lift something heavier than normal, or something.... and that can often cause heart attacks; what we don't consider is that, no we're not huge, but being sedentary can cause plaque build up in our arteries, and since we're still *kinda* fit, we still have the ability to push hard - which can cause that plaque to break off, causing an heart attack, an embolism, or a stroke.
That's why 20 minutes a day of elevated heart rate is really, really, important!
    Great grind, by the way.

Buckin’, unrelated to this particular video, but I just found a full wrap handlebar for my Stihl 041. I am freakin pumped! Can’t wait to try it out!!! It definitely seems like it’s gonna be way better for limbing and for being able to cut from both sides of the tree. Another piece of killer advice from you man. Took me forever to find one!! It looks freakin killer with the 28” bar and the full wrap!! Time to find some decent dogs for it and she’ll be set. Maybe get iron horse to hot rod this thing for me at some point.

amazin'...like you were saying 'just a little of this a little of that' (slightly flicking the axe at the impact)...i've never heard anyone but you mention that (but I'm new to this stuff). I have tried that technique and I can attest that it works, now I will also start by placing the rounds a little further on the block as mentioned to reduce the chin splints ;-). Thank you for the advice

Fire starter. Into half of a 1 gallon jug ( cut off ) I put sawdust and add some oil . Mix. Used motor, lamp, refrigeration, ETC. I scoop a small amount out to put under the kindling. Yes, the selfstarting propane torch is the only way. to start a fire.

  • @wednesdar452

Ipe is the best. You need to pre-drill and countersink it when you're installing decks or it will snap the heads right off the fasteners.

  • @Thedoug369

Old trick for getting the axe head on handle so it'll never, ever slip...anti freeze, yep anti freeze. Once you get the axe hafted to your satisfaction, soak the top of the handle, in the head, in some anti freeze. Water makes wood swell, but it eventually evaporates. Anti freeze don't evaporate, ever and won't rot the wood. Makes the head nice n shiny too!✌
