I would make sure to be the bouncer and be annoyed when you say you're being expected, because if you were being expected, you would obviously already be inside
Remember how amazing it felt walking into the club for the first time? Hearing this tune as you walked down the hall and the door opens and you're seeing those Asari dancing! Those feels right? Haha! That was such a memorable moment!
This song, along with brilliant voice acting and animating, made Aria into a wonderful character. She's undoubtedly one of my all time favourites, even if she is just a side character.
Wow... Awesome man... I can't believe I didn't make the connection. TY! So many memories playing that game... Playing as the cops... Now I'm in the field as an adult... Funny how games affect your life.
Club Purgatory wasn't as cool but the music wasn't bad either not to mention the dancers in Afterlife where always Asari in Purgatory it changed every time you went into the club on different visits.
Gawd, this is so from Need For Speed High Stakes xD I played the NFSHS "Callista" soundtrack the same time as this, ran them against each other and it's pretty much identical. I love this track though.. amazing how something from 1999 could impact such an amazing modern game and become something else.
+John Shepard It is infact a remix of that very same track xD A really good club mix, if you ask me. If discos had this kind of music, i'd go there everyday :P
The background music for the Upper Afterlife club is titled "Callista" by Canadian musician Saki Kaskas. It was originally featured in Need for Speed: High Stakes.
This track matches the game so perfectly. Only been playing for 4 days, already this game has quickly become one of my favorites. maybe i should play the first 1 lol
The best Mass Effect (well now at least..let's see what Andromeda brings). The overall atmosphere just felt so more mature than the first game. Less space opera, instead a darker and "edgier" story and characters (even a Paragon Shepard wasn't a boyscout/girlscout anymore).
Keydiam Andromeda just sunk the franchise into oblivion. The trilogy despite its problems and limitations far exceeds MEA in almost every aspect possible, especially if we consider character development and main narrative, which was always the axis of the series.
Right then, originally I was going to leave it until tomorrow, but I'm off to record Mass Effect now, I can't resist after hearing this. It is absolutely stunning how much this song makes me wish I was living in the ME Universe.
Thanks for the help! Actually, I was looking to find unaltered extractions of some of the ME2 soundtrack because I wanted to reconstruct some of the characters' themes. But, there's a lot missing that really ought not be missing. I know there's a more "Complete" fan made soundtrack out there which I have. Sadly, the person who did that, thought that they'd improve the quality by re-encoding it all from extracted .ogg to MP3 320kbps. Re-encoding from 1 compressed format to another = epic fail...
love this song and i can't stop hearing it!! thx for the hd! from the moment i entered the afterlife i was like " woah O_O " and then " huh? now they can actually dance!! "
ME3's Citidel DLC, Garrus and Fem-Shep have a date-night, where they dance a tango. Its funny as hell to watch and a really great scene. In fact, all Shepard's romances get to have a 'Date-Night' scene
Brings me back to when i first played Mass Effect 2 not knowing what to expect and one of the first places in the game was Afterlife. Really set the mood for the rest of the game if you ask me.
Song: Callista (few remixes around) Originally featured in Need 4 Speed High Stakes/Road Challenge. It was played during char selection/upgrading. @stifflersmum7 take you to the future? You need to go back more than a decade if you like this music :p Back to the 90's
Jeremy Draper it was to make you feel like you were in the club bass tends to be louder in a club setting then just being played in headphones because of acoustics and a more enclosed space
I actually fell asleep to this while I was listening to it and relaxing on ME2. I agree though, this music is awesome and fits right into the club scene. Its got that slow dance feel to it.
They really didn't have to drop such a banger of a song, but they did, and now that's the only club I ever want to go to. It really make the aesthetic perfect for a backwater-ish club on an asteroid.
This song isn't in the soundtrack of ME2 and it is not composed by Jack Wall; it is composed by Saki Kaskas and its name is Callista. Also this version of the song is from the original soundtrack of Need for Speed: High Stakes. The one from the ME2 is 99% the same with this one but some tunes are different. But thanks for your upload.
The names of the bars in the Mass Effect series: After Life Eternity Purgatory Flux Dark Star Vortex Words often associated with the state of things and the Universe. (except Chora's Den)
For God sake! I listen to this several times every day and I will never get bored by this :D This track is awesome! I'm a big fan of Mass Effect and I would like to visit Omega's Afterlife club so much =]
I am Omega. Omega has one ruler and only one rule: Dont fuck with Aria. Sounds like neither of us likes being jerked around. And on your ship that would matter. Here, we entertain my preferences.
I don't know about any of you guys, but when I heard this track, I thought of Need for Speed High Stakes Soundtrack immediately where you preview the cars. Ah, the memories.
I hope you guys know that this is from Need for Speed 4, and was originally created by Rom Di Prisco. Check him out, he has tons of great game soundtracks like this.
Hey... NFS4 HS Music! It's almost exactly the same! Was listening to the HS soundtrack when I came across thie song 'Callista'. The same bass line, same basic tune... Both games are EA though... it's still awesome! :D
Come on, let me in.
Aria's expecting me, ugh!
Annoyed:
If she were expecting you, you would be inside.
@@MrImastinker Haha no way dude I remember this.
@@MrImastinker ANNOYEDDDDDDDDDDDD
I randomly say "cumon lemme in" in cadence with everyone looking beyond confuised
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite club in space.
anuj balodi haha
shepard fucking asking discount for doing so :) and the worst is that the discount was 2 credits :v
Translation is love
Translator is life XD
Damn right !
Garrus Vakarian Are you done calibrating?
Afterlife was the best club of the entire series.
Hope Andromeda will bring us in another such renegade club
but without the dancing blue girls ((
Why not? Asari will be present in Andromeda.
Yes I know. I really like the Asari;)
hopefully we will get to enjoy this masterpiece in the Andromeda too...
I swear, if I become a millionaire, I will build a real Afterlife club (both upper and lower), with their respective songs playing all night.
Dont forget the VIP :D
If you do, I will come over, remain outside, pester the bouncer telling him that you're expecting me. Ugh.
I would make sure to be the bouncer and be annoyed when you say you're being expected, because if you were being expected, you would obviously already be inside
this if from need for speed iv
You should save up your earnings from that club - and one day build a prime one somewhere in the asteroid belt, like after the Mars mission's success!
The coolest club music ever..This has always made me stay in afterlife longer than other night clubs in ME..
When I first played this and I hurd this I just stood there and bumped this for a hot minute. The best club song in the series.
"I'm Commander Shepard, and this is the best Club in the galaxy."
"I'm Commander Shepard, and Aria is my fav booty in the Galaxy"
What about Miranda? "I'm commander Shepard, and this is my favourite ass on the citadel"
God damn it....
*Grabs the collection*
I have to play it again after listening to this.....
Remember how amazing it felt walking into the club for the first time? Hearing this tune as you walked down the hall and the door opens and you're seeing those Asari dancing! Those feels right? Haha! That was such a memorable moment!
warren010h i know wxactly what ur talking about, i had a shit load of these moments during the ME1 and 2
Try a full renegade infiltrator run with dominate and AI hacking (you have to kill Samara 😢) easy head shots
Now u gotta grab the legendary edition
This song, along with brilliant voice acting and animating, made Aria into a wonderful character. She's undoubtedly one of my all time favourites, even if she is just a side character.
oh the fucking memories... god help me ...i WANT to live mass effect =]
ben liv you'd be taken by collectors.. and be made into meat sauce for the human reaper

*gets killed by reapers*
This is the maybe the epicest, sexiest space music ever.
I want a REAL futuristic bar/nightclub with this song playing LOUD in there. YEEEEES
A replica upper afterlife club... If I was filthy rich.. I would do that.
grahwo Damn right! :) with asari dancers, too. haha
Onemaster Somehow getting dancers to dress up.. with prostetics ;) Like some of them epic cosplayers!
grahwo haha! maybe it's worth investigating xD
Or looking at the cars that were used in NFS4.
this song was on Need For Speed (High Stakes) for the playstation 1 LOL It did not have this title though.
really?????????? i loved that game... get outa here!!!!???
***** Saki Kaskas - Callista search it :)
Wow... Awesome man... I can't believe I didn't make the connection. TY!
So many memories playing that game... Playing as the cops... Now I'm in the field as an adult... Funny how games affect your life.
EA games sound copyright
one thanks alot for clearing that up I knew it sounded familar but i couldn't put my finger on it, been over 10 years
Come on... let me in!!
Aria's expecting me! Ugh!
Annoyed. If she were expecting you, you'd be inside.
Afterlife was sooooooo much better than Purgatory...mostly because of this song...
Yeah to be honest i find the whole game to be better than Mass Effect 3.
+beavis butthead So true.
+Davanthall Omega > Citadel in general.
Club Purgatory wasn't as cool but the music wasn't bad either not to mention the dancers in Afterlife where always Asari in Purgatory it changed every time you went into the club on different visits.
'Afterlife' is better than 'Purgatory' :)
notice the names of the bars in the Mass Effect series?
This just never gets old.
I'm commander Shepard and this was in my favourite Need For Speed game from last century. :)
Aria t'loak: looks who's here
''Don't fuck with Aria''
ME3's music was so awesome that it made me go back and listen to the music from the first two games and realize what I had overlooked.
probably one of the best experiences in video games I've ever had was entering club afterlife with this song on ME2.
This song is 4 minutes and 20 seconds long.
*grabs popcorn*
Technogineer DUDE WEED LMAO

The Asari that you walked into the club with and start dancing.

This takes me back to all nighters playing mass effect 2 and loving it

it is 3 am and I am drinking beer. Mass Effect is the only game series where i cried so please dont stop. i want that this song lasts forever.
The background music for the Upper Afterlife club is titled "Callista" by Canadian musician Saki Kaskas. It was originally featured in Need for Speed: High Stakes.
Reaaallyyy love this song..please bring similar clubs back in mass effect 4 like afterlife
"I once saw a man kill another man .. Ohhh no it was a vorcha"
*"I seen a vorcha shoot a man... Ohh no, it was another vorcha!"
Consider yourself lucky. I flew all the way to Omega just to prove you wrong.
Woah, best quality I've found so far. Thanks a ton!
I AM OMEGA. It has one ruler and only one rule: Dont fuck with Aria."
If only you could have romanced her...
Renegades have a smack. They always have a smack :D
Always had this blaring out of my cabin! The crew below must've loved me...
Correct your description, this was composed by Saki Kaskas for NFS: High Stakes.
Darmvlinder this is mass effect bud
Which doesn't change anything to the fact he's right, and that this music was already in my ears in 1999.
It is not... its from high stakes.
@439613
Again, your choice to upload the songs (and especially this one) as 720 HD was something that deserves endless praise from all ME fans.
This track matches the game so perfectly. Only been playing for 4 days, already this game has quickly become one of my favorites. maybe i should play the first 1 lol
your comment and name made me chuckle heavily. thank you sir.
Saki Kaskas - Callista ^_^ ah those 90's so much fun! :D

Five years later this comment existed to bring me a fucking roaring cacophony of laughter and made me rewatch the Andromada fails video.
Right then, originally I was going to leave it until tomorrow, but I'm off to record Mass Effect now, I can't resist after hearing this. It is absolutely stunning how much this song makes me wish I was living in the ME Universe.

This puts a smile on my face every time I listen to it :) Best song in The ME trilogy, no doubt.
And Music from fourth Need For Speed. Shock for me, i found out just now :D
Went to a nightclub and they played this. Almost shedded a tear
Awesome dude, big ups for the HD quality!
Such an amazing song!

Best renegade action
love this song and i can't stop hearing it!! thx for the hd!
from the moment i entered the afterlife i was like " woah O_O " and then " huh? now they can actually dance!! "
Such an epic bit of music, I spent way too much time hanging out at Afterlife :) though it feels kind of wrong without the full club ambiance.
Interesting. Never really thought about that before but now that you mention it.
Playing ME2 right now, and I am addicted to this song. If only I could have my Shepard dance with Garrus. Would make this chick very happy ^^
ME3's Citidel DLC, Garrus and Fem-Shep have a date-night, where they dance a tango. Its funny as hell to watch and a really great scene. In fact, all Shepard's romances get to have a 'Date-Night' scene

It's funnier when you mod F!Shep to look like Shep.

@stifflersmum7 take you to the future? You need to go back more than a decade if you like this music :p Back to the 90's
This music is perfect for "progress", an never ending "process" which escalates into eternity and infinity
AFTERLIFE! NOW!
In game i remember the bass being louder
Jeremy Draper it was to make you feel like you were in the club bass tends to be louder in a club setting then just being played in headphones because of acoustics and a more enclosed space
+jason garrett k
you just need a system equalizer
this is amazing!
This is my favourite video game music track ever for what happens to be my favourite video game ever.
I hear this in 2018 and thinking: "Damn, ME 1+2 was an epic game!"
"You wanna talk?"
"Talk to Aria"
@Smokejaguars67114 Originally it is the soundtrack of Need for Speed 4 High stikes, the song is called Callista
“If you wanna think we’re dancing together, go ahead!”
I actually fell asleep to this while I was listening to it and relaxing on ME2. I agree though, this music is awesome and fits right into the club scene. Its got that slow dance feel to it.
Thanks man!
They really didn't have to drop such a banger of a song, but they did, and now that's the only club I ever want to go to. It really make the aesthetic perfect for a backwater-ish club on an asteroid.
Damn this song is so fucking AMAZING
The music is called Callista and the author is Saki Kaskas
I'm Commander Shepherd, and I wish they made Mass Effect games like this one again
This music is so freakin' amazing I am listening to it even after having finished the equally freakin' amazing game!
Don't fuck with Aria!
"i'm commander shepard. and this is Need for speed High Stakes" XD
This song isn't in the soundtrack of ME2 and it is not composed by Jack Wall; it is composed by Saki Kaskas and its name is Callista. makes me picture future clubs inside space hotels and rotating habitats.

I alwaaays hum the bassline to this. Seriously, it just pops into my head.
I LOVE THIS SO CHILLING!
If I'm old enough and actually get into a nightclub im heccin telling the DJ to play this masterpiece on his bad boi
Iam Commander Shepard and this is my favourite song at youtube.
This tune made me think of the "fifth element"
Yeah, very similar ambientation
I can never find this song on any of the soundtracks they are out for mass effect 2
I don't know about any of you guys, but when I heard this track, I thought of Need for Speed High Stakes Soundtrack immediately where you preview the cars. Ah, the memories.
I fucking love it!
Uh, this music was composed by Saki Kaskas and was originially used for NFS: High Stakes/Road Challenge.
I hate it when the best songs in the game aren't on the OST. At least this is here. DVDVideoSoft for the win! :D
FYI if you have the game Need for Speed high stakes, this song is such a remix of one of the menu songs, i hope it was the same composer.
This song is called "Callista" and was composed by Saki Kaskas, should probably change the description...
I should have stayed in the Omega sector... that club and music was so captivating both upper and lower life....
Whenever I went into Afterlife I used to just stand there listening to this music haha :D
I have to hear this at least once a day.
I hope you guys know that this is from Need for Speed 4, and was originally created by Rom Di Prisco. Check him out, he has tons of great game soundtracks like this.

Wooo! Yeah! Dance the night away alll night long! WOOO!!!
Let the music flow into you...
I play this music my speakers and go to sleep to it. I actually find it relaxing kind of.
