Ever since I heard Callista in ME2 a while ago, I became obsessed with this song. Something about it makes it so nostalgic, ethereal...I wish the guitar part was longer though! Saki was definitely one of those rare, insanely talented musicians. I'm sad he is no longer with us, but glad his album got released (Theodosius). I recommend everyone to give it a listen. Rest in power man, you are missed. ❤️
Robert Dole The Diablo SV is my dream car. Ever since the NFS 3 & 4 days from my childhood I've dreamt of having one. Will probably never happen, but if there's any goal I want to achieve it's that.

This song was made for the racing game Need for Speed IV: High Stakes, in 1999. It played while you were browsing the menu of the game. Its more recent use in the Mass Effect game series has revived its popularity.
Saki Kaskas lived was born just a few kilometers where i live, but with the difference his family moved from germany to america ten years before i was born. He made awesome musics for the NfS-Games. No one can beat his wonderful tracks. NfS is not more the same for me since NfS Underground.
The year is 1999. You are in the back seat on your way home from school. You hear an ungodly noise and look up from your gameboy to see a m5 rip it down the highway. You go home. Hit the eject button and put the nfs high stakes cd inside. Turn on your playstation 1. Get to the car select menu. It’s the same M5 and this song. Crack that smile. Oh yeah baby. Game on.
I experienced this track in Mass Effect 2, unlike some of the OG's in NFS, but, this is the exact electronic bliss i grew up to and loved (and still do). RIP, and thank you for your work. I hope it will remain eternal in the musical sands of time.
I didnt know this was in NFS High Stakes, but in Mass Effect 2 and in another Need For Speed game, NFS2015 to be exact, ironic to hear it in both games, especially 2015 while customizing your car in the garage, and of course the Upper Afterlife Club on Omega in ME2. To think this song is this old, yet it feels so new and nostalgic.
Unfortunately, our Greek DJ Saki Kaskas has passed away. Callista is the cherry on top of other NFS High Stakes songs. Best regards from the Chechen Republic
