Great reviews. I have had many many bikes. Downsizing the last years. My last bike was the meteor 350. Great bike. Just overtaking and highway riding and overtaking there is not done. I want to stay below 500cc. Have had multiple single cilinder bikes. v twins as well but never had a parallel twin. To be honest. I ride my bike never long, never do long trips on it. 100km a day is the maximum. Just riding to Holland or the south of belgium. So i don't need a big cc bike anymore. I can understand that if you ride long trips like you do you know the bike instantly. I've ridden the Himalayan 450 for about an half hour and it was ok. Afterwards i noticed that the seat was on his lowest position and i prefer sitting higher. So now deciding between this Himalayan 450, Honda CL500 or a Kawasaki eliminator 500. Different models. All in the 400/500 cc class and the thing they have in common in the upright sitting position. The thing is, just had a Royal Enfield and the meteor was so smooth and the Himalayan is a little bit more on the vibration side. I've had also a KTM Duke 390 and i didn't like that bike so much. Just the fact that it wanted to be ridden fast all the time. Let say i have a luxury problem. Great reviews!
You really live the life, don't you Fuzzy Biker? Everything you mentioned is a minor niggle. Royal Enfield (I'm also a fanboy, if not an evangelist!) just keeps hitting it out of the park. I'm glad that you're having so much fun with the thing. Thank you for the video!
I guess no bike is perfect. Weight and height obviously plays a big part in how the bike performs. Im 5"10 and 85kg so I fit on the bike nicely. I bought bark busters, rally protection kit, headlight protector, royal Enfield aluminium panniers which hold 26 litres and pannier racks. Im also getting front side tanks bags and master cylinder protection. I think the panniers won't help fuel economy but I like the luggage space and they don't weigh down the bike too much. Easy to remove if you need to.
Issues 🤔🤔I'm slightly confused after watching the video. The taller windscreen, I understand is not tall enough but it's ADV right?? The bike milage is truly based on how one drives it. For all the rest so called issues, you yourself mentioned many times in the video, are not issues. It's a great bike at the price it's unveiled worldwide. so just enjoy it... wohoo!!
These bikes are build on Value-based pricing, if they start adding feature based on ever-ones nitpicks the bikes will lose their first and fundamental appeal which is value for money.
Love that V85TT, it's a fabulous motorcycle. Just too beautiful of a machine to take where I'll go with this Himalayan 452. One is a true beauty, the other a real workhorse.
Your friends don't notice the difference in the windshields because they're not scrabbling for talking points for their vlogs😂 Is a 450cc single really the bike for 1000 mile days?
@@davespruce4362 A bike is whatever the rider wants it to be, aslong as it'll do it. I bought a new Honda Fireblade 929RRY in 2001, raced it for three years, thrashed it on the country roads, then toured every country in Europe on it (fully laden) over many years...before using it as a daily commuter. I still have it & it's done 80,000miles, with nothing needed other than regular servicing by myself & wear & tear items replacing. I've been called crazy many times for doing what I have on it & in all weathers, but hey ho, it's done it all in its stride & i've been the one having a blast doing it 😀 On another note...I've done 900 miles on my 411 in one day from the very North tip of the UK, to the very South tip...what a blast. Way too many riders restrict themselves & their bikes...I find an open mind in their capabilities to be real freedom.

RE makes great fun...in the form of motorcycles. Wahoo!
Fuzzy your a legend
LOL Wahoo!
I have the big windscreen and a ZumoXT behind it. Fits perfectly! Vibrations is not a problem for me coming from a old bmw r80 and TT600.
Nice, thanks. Wahoo!

How does the Himalayan compare to the Moto Guzzi v85TT?

@@thefuzzybiker171 great thank you.
Some people are installing the rally seat cuz they find the leg space too cramped. You can try that. Might help.
Good idea..will look into that. Wahoo!
Great update!
Wahoo
Hey Fuzzy, I know I'm right in keeping my late 411 instead of trading it in for the 450.
No argument from me. 411 is a great bike. Wahoo!
What’s this? Rereleased the video?
Wahoo
