I deal with Tabasco as a customer, I went out there and did a site visit to see where my trucks were going. Man was it a cool experience, it's also open to tours! All the Tabasco sauce in the world is produce in Avery Island. They have a park you can drive through with an alligator pond, haha super cool, worth a visit! Oh yeah, keep buying Tabasco!

I'm a 5th generation Louisiana native. My great uncle served in the Army during WWII as a cook in the Africa campaign. Decades later at his unit reunion the first question his buddies asked was not "How are you?" it was "Have you got it?" He reached into his hip pocket and brought out his bottle of Tabasco Sauce as they all knew he would. Evern in the hospital after his heart surgery he kept a bottle on the side table with his medications.

It's just sickening how morally depraved when it comes to working itself that blaming business owners for their own miseries when they themselves can start a business on their will. They have to guts to complain when they got nothing to offer with. Professional victims.

I love how the title is "14 Entrepreneurs Who Built Food Empires" when the actual truth is that for many, it was no single entrepreneur who built them but rather generations of family.
I am not disparaging any of these folks achievements but the truth is it is easier to succeed when born into the right circumstances and those born into farming, business or political families will always have an advantage over the average person.
Very often through hard work as kids being committed and dedicated to the family business but equally as often it is "not what you know but who you know".

@@striker44yep, there's a differences between being rich and being wealthy. Modern people loves to be rich but those who loves their family and lineage will aspire to be wealthy. They love their family so much that they secured the future of their loveones by giving them inheritances for future generation to come. Modern progressive people would never understand the importance of starting your own family business given some never cared about their family to begin with. Such a shame.

I used to work as an electrician some years ago, I have to say it was very common for small businesses in older buildings to have two or sometimes more meters. One meter was for the domestics ( 120: volt needs like lighting and receptacles. Most of these businesses also had a second meter for their 3 phase loads, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. It wasn’t until the 1970s that new buildings began to have their own indoor transformers to provide all their power needs from a single meter.

When I was growing up there was a bakery the next town over. The German woman who ran it made the best pumpernickel bread as well as cheesecake that was nothing like what they crank out today. I think she might have used mascarpone instead of cream cheese. It wasn’t as sweet as cream cheese and it was amazing. She made cherry, blueberry and pineapple. The filling was on the bottom and I don’t think she used graham cracker crust either. Not positive what she used but when daddy brought one home, along with her pecan sticky buns! Wow! The best treat was to grab the end of the pumpernickel bread, slather it with butter and you had a serious treat! YUM and double YUM!!

    I'm a _'hot sauce connoisseur'._
In addition to the sauces I make myself, I always have 6 to 10 varieties of bottled 'commercial' sauce on hand. After decades of refining my palate, I'm at the point where foods and drinks almost _'require'_ specific sauces.
For instance, _'Franks'_ is the _only_ sauce for hot wings, and when it comes to egg dishes, _only_ my _fresh 'jalapeno/cilantro/garlic & onion'_ sauce will do.
And when it comes to Tabasco? It's the *ONLY* one I'll use for Bloody Mary (vodka) and Red Snapper (gin) cocktails. It has just the right amount of heat and vinegar.

When I was first stationed near Jax, FL there was a great steakhouse called the Tree Steakhouse in the Arlington area that had been there for 50 years. It was the best steakhouse around. They had fantastic dry aged steaks like in this video. It was a small restaurant. They would bring out the roll of Rye-eye steaks on a card, you would tell the server how thick that you wanted your steak and how seasoned-cooked. The Arlington area of the city started to go down hill in the late 80's and they moved. Only it was not as good and they did not last. I have much respect for people working in the food business. It is hard long work. Shalom

It's also a service business. The service industry is not given the respect it deserves as a major cog in an industrial capitalist society. Every cook, bottle washer, waiter, busboy, bartender, packager, and deliveryman makes life an adventure for all to enjoy. Democratic capitalists in Europe are the same, and many refugees do well. Many family businesses have been bought out or visited with offspring from the elite colleges to seek short-term gain with no capital value assigned to legacy, or brand protection.

Dr Berg, I've been intermittent fasting (24hrs omad) for around 4 months and tried to avoid all carbs and sugars except for broccoli and cauliflower and those in Costa Americano's and pouring cream. I use artificial sweetener such as sweetex or canderel.
I've been on a massive calorie deficit and lost over 3.5 stones. Recently I found I was too weak and light headed all the time so decided to up the calories by eating more chicken and meat along with my veg (and spinach) this weekend and instantly feel bloated and fat.
I have to take lanzoprazole daily (30mg) to help. Is this likely to be causing more microbiome problems that are the underlying reasons?
    All help appreciated. 👍

For 1kg add to the mixture, 30g fresh garlic paste, 100ml beef bone stock, 10g baking soda, 10g salt, 1tsp chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper and 1/2 tsp of ground dry thyme. I worked as a sales representative and "Western" Marketing representative for UST from 1992 to 2000.. i helped roll out the introduction of Skoal Cherry, Spearmint, and Skoal Flavor Packs. I also rolled out Redseal and Rooster brands during that time. It was fun to remember all these brands that I helped introduce to the USA. As a side note, i did not see the Skoal Flavor Packs on the video. Also didnt see Bighorn Snuff which was the first I ever tried. Awesome video my friend. Keep it up. If you ever need somebody who was part of us tobacco throughout the 1990s, I am happy to answer questions or help fill in blanks. I have a great story about being involved in the 1.6 billion lawsuit of conwood company versus US tobacco as I was called as a witness and one of my ex-employees was also called as a witness for the plaintiffs. At the time it was the largest antitrust lawsuit in American history and I was right smack in the middle of it. Might actually make an interesting episode for you someday.. take care and keep it up!
