    From memory!? Can you fit all those notes in your brain? Magnificent!

    • @WitchKing-Of-Angmar
      @WitchKing-Of-Angmar 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Easy? Sort of. The main parts are learned, the fast 16th note 4 piece runs are same method for all 4 notes, just sharps/flats and accidental changes, if you have a 4 piece line with changes then you study that exact line more than the rest. It all works out in the end!

    • @clyderamirez1
      @clyderamirez1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +24

      Not as hard as you would think. When you practice a piece for many hundreds of hours looking at sheet music and reinforcing the phrases and rhythms of each movement it becomes second nature. We did Beethovens first symphony in high school which is significantly longer. By concert day after practicing daily going movement by movement we had it committed to memory. I can't speak as to the methods of a virtuoso but I can imagine they can't be much different.

      There's a logic in music. If you're familiar with the piece, and you study for years to learn how to play every part perfectly like this, it is kind of automatic for the brain

      At 11 its extremely difficult
      I know these comments want to act like prodigies themselves in their 30’s with no name to them but the reality is what this pianist is doing at her age is matching levels of some of the greatest
      So yes its very unlikely everyone can just easily do this even after hundreds of hours of practice

    Alexandra Dovgan, what you have achieved in your 11 years of life is so much more than many people can achieve in a life time, you are a unique talent and prodigy, a genius I should say, you play with the wisdom of an adult and the playfulness and energy of a young child, the technique is superb, absolute, and your musicality that of an old soul, I am in awe of what I just saw, and congratulate you from the bottom of my heart for your talent and hard work, you, your parents and your teachers. You are such a joy to watch, may God continue to bless you in this road you have taken so passionately, and be a blessing to all that listen to you. From the moment she starts cleaning the keyboard of her piano (00:05) until they leave the stage together (19:54) there's a charming chemistry between Alexandra and the conductor Alexander Sladkovsky. Indeed, and just imagine, despite having rehearsed with her, hearing this power, nuance, and elegance pouring out behind you - must have been mind boggling .. Very telling is the opening crescendo - it is relentless building in strength - more so than, I think, other orchestras Alexandra has played it with, and she matches it with amazing power and authority. It conveys immediately that there will be no soft peddling by either party, but a balanced account.

    0:19 - Molto Allegro con fuoco
    7:26 - Andante
    12:37 - Presto (This part she plays so clearly and it's one of my fav excerpts of the piano repetoire)
    After hearing many interpretations of this piece, I do think this is the most masterfully interpreted. The main voice of the piano just takes the stage when it makes an entry and the clearness of Alexandras playing is quite nearly superhuman. She doesn't just race through the whole thing but plays each part with tasteful delight and sophistication. Absolutely amazing for her age. Quite surely a Ling Ling...

    So glad Pepperhappy included the audience's reaction. That's a pretty hard core audience though. You could not have kept me off my feet for the ovation. She deserved one. I've been to too many concerts where a standing ovation was given almost as if it were an obligatory part of concert going. This was most definitely deserving of a standing ovation.

    Wow - few things bring me to tears but as a father of a very musical 10yo girl, to see what little people are capable of and can develop at such a young age is astonishing. Miss Dovgan has incredible musicality above all the technical mastery she possesses, as I've never heard in someone so young. What a gift she brings to the world. I can only begin to imagine how hard she works at it.

Years ago, at the hight of the communist regime, when so many artists and athletes were defecting to get away from the oppression, it may have been true. But why can't they simply be good because they are good and not because of any other reason except that they are good?
