Easy? Sort of. The main parts are learned, the fast 16th note 4 piece runs are same method for all 4 notes, just sharps/flats and accidental changes, if you have a 4 piece line with changes then you study that exact line more than the rest. It all works out in the end!

What a wonderful sensibility.
A little princess and her piano as a powerful magic wand! Very impressive, a great talent! All the love for the future!💮💮
I love that comparison to the piano being her magic wand!
She is pure magic here. The moment I saw her, heard her, I knew I was in the presence of an extraordinary talent, class, of a born pianist and only 10!
For me, the best performance of this Mendelssohn, reflecting his romantic era including the lovely period dress.thank you dear Sasha! Great conductor too!!
You are perfectly right.
This might possibly be the best thing I've ever stumbled upon. Thank you Alexandra for sharing your hard work and talent with us, it brought me to tears. This video should have a billion views. Bravo, young lady!
For me too, this was a discovery of a great treasure, just a few days ago.
Really a God sent talent and gift.
I cannot get enough of her wonderful performances from 6 and on. Through her i fell in love with this lovely concerto, played so sensitively and great virtuosity.
Thank you, Alexandra!
@@karennoble1168 we have a nephew who plays violin, piano and guitar. He was born with the talent like this young lady. BEAUTIFUL.

O Lord....thanks for giving me chance to watch and listen this extraordinary performance and amazing interpretation from 11 years old angel.
Thanks for youtube system too for giving me this epic performance. 3 years late is better thank to know nothing about this.
Worth millions of viewers... 🤗
God bless her.
Wow - few things bring me to tears but as a father of a very musical 10yo girl, to see what little people are capable of and can develop at such a young age is astonishing. Miss Dovgan has incredible musicality above all the technical mastery she possesses, as I've never heard in someone so young. What a gift she brings to the world. I can only begin to imagine how hard she works at it.
Alexandra has opened to me - with her fantastic interpretation and skills - the abosulte beauty and clarity of this Mendelssohn's musical piece
I will soon see her perform in the USA so glad she is visiting.
Do you know where this was?
wow sound acrobatics. olympic games for hands and fingers and ears. what a nice young and gifted woman.
Alexandra is pouring her heart out...
Technical proficiency with enormous heart.
This actually makes me weep every time! Alexandra is precious and so is her extraordinary talent!
For sale: grand piano, perfect shape, will deliver, please just get it out of my house.
Alexandra, bravo. You don't play the piano, you play music. Truly gifted by the Lord. 👍🏼
Oh no!! Don’t give up! 🙏🏻
@@mathildewesendonck7225 LOL! No, I was just kidding. I simply was acknowledging how talented Alexandra is, just using goofy American humor. That probably isn’t funny to the rest of the world! 😀
The sheer concentration, accuracy, and energy that goes into her performance is astounding.
This is a very complex composition and it's amazing what she's had to memorize and practice.
Beautifully played and I hope she matures into writing her own pieces. (While still playing the amazing classics!)
Sasha was only 11 years and 1 month old in this performance! The greatest prodigy of this generation, and destined to be one of the greatest artists, period!
I was wondering how old she is/was. She seemed super young and I was thinking, to not only be able to play like that, but to be able to memorize a 20 minute piece and have the stamina to play so vigorously, has got to take it out of you. She handled it like a champ.
Actually she was 10 years and 9 months, but never mind
(The performance was recorded in April 2018, and she was born in July 2007)
Her playing is impressive but what’s most impressive is that she has it all memorized ! Wow!
Wonderful, adorable gorgeous littlegirl . Fanastic ability. Bravo, Sweet Littlegirl ! Bravo Parents ! Bravo That
She, the conductor and all the musicians in the orchestra deserve to be praised fully for this extradordinary performance!!!
But who is praising Felix Mendelssohn? Because, you see... whithout him... all the musicians and ourselves will be eating bananas...
mind blown. !!!! gotta start playing some classics to my baby
❤Hola Alexandra!
Exquisite dress & slippers complimenting the brilliant Dovgan performance.--Matsuev watching from the wings.
yes, i also was enchanted by such an elegant lovely dress and matching the period of time.
Michelle Morris (a music teacher) posted this on our Facebook forum with the comment, "There may yet be hope for the world".
Breathtaking and charismatic. Alexandra is able to send artistic messages, because she loves what she is doing. Very moving to listen and to watch this highly gifted and sensitive girl. Thanks for sharing!
A free membership at Mecici.tv lets you see nearly all the performances on REPLAY - including both of her performances of this concerto, this and the Laureates Concert the next evening.
Wow - this was a good one..
@DolphinsWIthIgloos I assume you are attempting to be humorous, otherwise a dumb and very ignorant statement. Years ago, at the hight of the communist regime, when so many artists and athletes were defecting to get away from the oppression, it may have been true. But why can't they simply be good because they are good and not because of any other reason except that they are good?
Exceptionnel...
She is amazing.
This bears comparison with the greatest interpretations, and is even better than many!! Such sensitive phrasing and deep connection with the music! What a joy to listen to!!🙏
WOW…. magnificent ! Bravo Bravo ! 👏👏👏👏👏
The hug of marchenko at the end of the performance.Emotive.
And her co-competitor too
I have watched this older video (2 years ????) and the little star she was then, has blossomed into the MEGA STAR she is now, on the way to become an entire Constellation! Alexandra will continue to get larger and larger until she will become a little Universe that plays the piano! How can she pack so much talent in 80 pounds is beyond me...
Thank you for the joy you bring into our little tortured souls. The WORLD LOVES YOU!
Even after all these years, I still feel compelled to offer congratulations on that wonderful performance. Best camera angles to date that I know of, showing the emotion and expression that was in your heart and performance. The one video I enjoy to watch again and again.
That performance brought light into my life. Thank you so much, Alexandra. A legend in the making indeed.
this child... such incredibilty.. how ethereal it must have been to witness her play live...
this is possibly the best piano performance i have ever stumbled up on...
Bravo Alexandra❤
I'm so happy to see this video back on the web. Alexandra is incredibly fantastic. She is a goddess of music. At that age, we can argue she is a genius.
me too. this video was copyright-striked by a random company that didn't own this video. I filed a dispute but I am not sure how long it can stay on youtube until it get striked down again.

No argument was ever shorter or more conclusive!
I think I see a child musical genius every other week on you tube! amazing!
Music like this is the pinnacle of western civilization. When I see Alexendra, I guess it is in safe pair of young hands for at least another generation.
I can’t stop watching and listening to this magnificent performance. What passion and skill. Breathtaking!
