There are perhaps a thousand young pianists today capable of mastering Chopin at a high level. While each has something to offer, of those I have listened to, Alexandra stands alone in her clarity, timing and interpretive brilliance. Each time I listen to her, I learn something new about the piece I've never heard before. I'm grateful, and wish her to keep posting to TH-cam and publishing albums.
She wouldn't make it in the CHopin competition. Each and one of the finalists in the Chopin Comp. have at least the same faculties Dogvan has. And many of them even more.

I am not a special friend of Chopin, but Alexandra lifts him out of pure virtuosity and manages to touch my soul.
It is rare that such a big piece is played as an encore ! Sasha, as always, has the perfect balance of good taste and emotion, as Chopin intended. My favourite pianist. I have seen her twice in concert, and I hope to continue.
It was not : "an Encore" (but the last part of the TCE Sunday morning, Jeanine Roze Production)

I've heard a lot of performances of this piece of music, because it's my favourite piano piece. None even begin to compare with this interpretation! There is so much phrasing; it's like she's telling a story.
I hope her career lasts as long as Marta Argerich, who is still going strong!

She has a wonderful variety of sound and touch, and a sense of improvisation within a structure. One delight after another. Her playing reminds me somewhat of Beatrice Rana. No higher compliment can be paid.

Une nouvelle fois, c'est l'émerveillement, l'enchantement de chaque instant ! J'avais déjà visionné l'enregistrement dans lequel Alexandra Dovgan joue cette même oeuvre avec l'accompagnement orchestral, selon la version originelle. Ici, elle est seule face à son instrument qu'elle dompte avec maestria et qu'elle caresse lorsqu'il le faut. De plus, elle a l'intelligence de ne point jouer la Polonaise dans un tempo trop vif, n'oubliant jamais qu'elle chante la Pologne dans ce qu'elle a de plus noble.
A l'évidence, Chopin parle au coeur d'Alexandra Dovgan; elle en est la traductrice inspirée.
mais pour tout ce qu'elle joue on a l'impression qu'elle vient de discuter avec le compositeur ! merveilleux cadeau du ciel ! merci belle dame !
