  • Where can you find one of the best Italian sandwiches in New York City? Helen Rosner-a staff writer at The New Yorker and the author of the weekly column The Food Scene-recommends Parisi Bakery & Deli, located at 198 Mott Street in Manhattan. Parisi’s crown jewel is The Dennis (a leaning tower of chicken cutlet, prosciutto, and mozzarella cheese), but the key to Helen’s heart is the Italian Special #2, a sandwich packed with practically every cured Italian meat known to man. The key to Parisi’s century-long success, however, is the bakery’s bread, which should be the main attraction no matter what sandwich you order.

Best sandwich in NYC is a chicken roti at Trinciti on Lefferts Blvd in Queens.

She does it for the free food. Ask ny phone men and garbage men where to eat who actually pay for their meals

It pisses me off when people eat sandwiches upside down. It isn't the sandwich that was prepared for you. Guy Fieri is notorious for that.
The bread looks dense for my taste. I think I would want it scooped.

That spot is so mid, especially for the Italian- their meats are not high quality, it’s standard corner deli level- how is she even qualified?

I think you may have it quite wrong, especially about her quals. Have you landed a spot on The New Yorker staff, with your own column and show? A nearly impossible feat for anyone.

@@pasodiufwen no, and neither do you. I have just lived here all my life and eat at all these places.
