Hi - Great little video and snapshot of your Saab - love your passion for the car and your tasteful mods. I have a 2010 TID TX convertible - managed to source original Hirsch leather dash, interior handles and trims and also an original Hirsch rear diffuser- swapped to an original illuminated ISM and fitted original illuminated illuminated boot release switch, has powerfold mirrors and a few other ‘tasteful’ mods lol Well done.
Very well done for finding the original Hirsch trim and diffuser. I couldn't find any for sale when modifying my 9-3 so had to go with the aftermarket options. I would have loved the original items though. Thanks for the comments.
Thanks for the comment. Tried to keep the modifications 'tasteful' and not go too over the top. It's knowing when to stop, but then the difficulty in getting aftermarket parts tends to help with that😂😂
@@keefensera2004 Hey ive got the exact same car and was looking to get a strut brace, was that abbot racing brace specifically designed to fit this engine/model or is it a general 9-3 strut brace? Also if aftermarket parts were hard to find a couple years ago im going to need some great luck as im going to try something similar to what you have done, so thanks for the ideas and inspiration. Also love what you have done to the car great job!
@@3Matt320 Hi there, thanks for the comments. I have been trying to find the strut brace on Abbott's website but I can't see any on there anymore, unless I missed it. And the order info I had just refers to it being a strut brace - so not much help. Maptun in Sweden do them, but only for left hand drive. AZ Performance in Hungary do them for the 9-3, and it states that they are for the petrol and diesel, both RHD and LHD. I have ordered some parts from them in the past, and they do quite a lot of performance parts for all SAABs. Hope that helps, and if you need any more info or suggestions where to get parts just get in touch. Good luck with your project.
@@3Matt320 or you can try RBM Performance in France. Their one appears to be suitable, but you'll have to check to see if it is left or right hand drive specific as it isn't stated. Good luck.
It seems that all those Saabs have a factory defect... the steering wheel is on the wrong side. @Keith, does your 9-3 has stainless steel pedal covers and foot rest? 😁
😂😂 No stainless steel pedal covers and footrest fitted. I did see a set of Hirsch ones for sale at one point, but they were covered in scratches, and the price wasn't exactly reasonable for what they were. I'll keep with the original rubber covers and not worry about having any stones etc stuck I the soles of my shoes 😊😊
Appreciated the whole SAAB thing as a serial SAAB owner. I have a 2007 facelift 9-3 Aero V6 manual wagon in Ice Blue, a 2005 9-3 Aero Hirsch 252 Turbo Performance, and a 2011 9-3 Aero Tx Design. All petrol, all renovated. I genuinely do not see any excitement for a diesel, sorry. You also do not deserve that Hirsch badge; my car wears it because it’s got £3500 worth of Hirsch hardware and software since new.
@@rezaq1 I think he deserves it for having an item of Hirsch on the car. He’s obtained the parts he can that were available to purchase and where he couldn’t get official Hirsch he’s gone for the next best thing. Your upgrades sound impressive, but we are also quick to applaud anyone that loves their Saab, and has pride in the cars like Keith does.
2 points 1, Nothing wrong with diesels, it's not all about horsepower, torque and fuel consumption matter and 2, with the badge, if the owner wants to put that on that's their choice, if their happy that's no one else's concern.
Excellent video! btw a criminally underrated amount of subs. Come on people!

I thought I recognize this lay-by and its 30 seconds from my house in Woodchurch! Small world!
