This works for me everytime. I had a nasty case in my teens. I had fungus growing between my toes so thick it was like I had webbed feet. Nothing worked, then one day I soaked my foot in peroxide 2%. Within hours the fungus and dead skin just sloughed off and I had healthy feet. It works every single time.

I was just wondering, did you mix the peroxide with water at all? If so, how much?
I have had athletes foot (i think) for like 8 months now. I have used 5 different creams with different active ingredients (for 1-2 months each) and nothing has worked.

Another good idea is wear white socks and make sure to wash them in hot water and use bleach to kill the fungus, if you can’t afford new pairs of socks. That is what I did. Once the fungus was gone, I bought a new pack of white socks and threw away my old shoes. If you don’t do this, you will get reinfected again. Also shower with sandals or flip flops wherever you go. I even shower in flip flops at my own place.

If you did the test for 1 week, then you stopped just when it was really starting to work.
I just saw a video from a doctor that recommends doing this (or any other foot soak) remedy for 4 weeks, as the infected skin needs to come off and be replaced with healthier, non-cracked/peeling skin (the same goes for toenails but they take longer to grow) and to also do the following:
    1. Never re-use socks without washing them. And if you can, change socks halfway during the day since you are using boots.
    2. Dry out or clean the inside of your shoes regularly. They also hold fungus. You can use certain sprays to kill fungus and a fan or shoe dryer to make sure shoes/boots are dry.
    3. Trim toenails regularly, as the part that overhangs can hold fungus/bacteria. It also makes them grow slightly faster, so you will outgrow the discolored part faster too.
    4. That video also suggested using vicks vapor rub on the feet after washing and drying the feet well.

      Good tips there.
I've done the test t a bit over a week and if you take into account that after that I started to test the 6% hydrogen peroxide for about the same time, collectivelly I test the hydrogen peroxide for about 3 weeks, daily without the results some people say they have.
The podiatrist I consulted on this topic said that hydrogen peroxide does not kill fungi.

Does it sting a little? My bubbles were less but I used 2% h2o2 just to be safe. The bubbles were less and the stinging only occurred at the top of my feet.
My right foot is worse, the difference in bubbles was very apparent. So much dead skin and junk floating about after just 5 minutes.

    • @BestForMyFeet
      @BestForMyFeet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

There was no stinging. That was my worry too. Especially when I tried the 6% solution (th-cam.com/video/E_Ja8zyMln8/w-d-xo.html) which of course is much stronger.
There was a bit of stinging at some point to be honest but that was because the skin became very dry in between my toes to the point where the skin cracked. It was very uncomfortable to apply hydrogen peroxide while that crack was open. Very stringy., But other than that, it doesn't sting at all.
      Hope this helps.

I had a stubborn toenail fungus and none of the topical meds worked. I really didn't want to take pills so I tried every home remedy I came across. A diluted bleach soak is what worked for me. I remember soaking and then filing the nails and dead skin down the first time. A couple weeks later, I filed my toenails and removed any dead skin and then soaked. I repeated this about a month later. It never came back. I've also heard that bathroom tile cleaner will work too, but it has to be the kind that kills fungus.
Btw, all this stuff is very drying but its not a daily thing.

@@BestForMyFeet Yes I’m going to tell my son tomorrow as it’s like almost 2am in Texas, but I’m glad it at least helped your poor tired feet with the smell & I bet it felt pretty good expecally with tired feet. You should try the apple cider vinegar & listerine they say that cures. We’ll see because I’m telling my son about that to. I’ve learned all this on utube . Yes utube has some good in there but there are a lot of liars out there to. While watching your video I was sure you were gonna say it worked, but you were absolutely honest & I liked that. I said to myself something as simple as this he told the truth, when you could lied & said it was a cure. I do hope you find something because I know my sweet son has this problem & he’s like you works long hours & on his feet. I wish we didn’t have to work to survive, kinda wish we all had our own land & we all lived off our own, but then again that’s probably harder too. Oh well that’s life. Your take care & let me know if you ever find a cure which I hope you do. God Bless you & yours.

The DC Foot Doctor - a podiatrist who has a channel on You Tube says that peroxide is NOT good for your feet. It dries out the skin. Even as a wound flush it is recommended to be diluted 50% with water because it is too drying to the flesh.

      @BestForMyFeet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Hey Yzetta thanks for your comment. I haven't checked any of his videos but I've tried hydrogen peroxide on my own and I can say it didn't dry my skin.
It MIGHT dry HEALTHY skin if used A LOT but not on your feet where the Athlete's foot have done a lot of damage already to the skin.
The skin on my feet is dead skin...
And although this solution didn't kill the fungus it did get rid of some dead skin on my feet leaving them cleaner and better looking overall.

I liked your comments about athletes foot and treatment. We are helping our “adul😢t” grandson with an terrible case of athletes foot. We are using peroxide method. After the soak, rinses. Buff a little as you dry feet. 😢then apply cream dr. Provided. He does that in the a.m. then after work, construction, he rinses hid feet in warter and tea, drys thoroughly then a applied cream again. Wears socks after cream. Lets shoes dry out for at least 24 hours. Has two pair of hard toed boots so switch’s to let each pair dry out. This is all doing wonders on his athletes foot. No socks at bedtime or in the fishing boat! And learning to DRY foot. Like you say peroxide doesn’t cure athletes foot but helps soften dry, blustery feet. I think he

Gracias Juan :) I did get rid of the socks. It was a bit harder to do that on the footwear :D Lots of money was spent there.
What I did instead is disinfect all my footwear using alcohol isopropyl bestformyfeet.com/how-to-disinfect-work-boots/
That plus having more than one pair of work boots for example helped a lot!
I did manage to get rid of the Athlete's foot fungus a few weeks after making this video (bestformyfeet.com/how-to-get-rid-of-athletes-foot-fungus/) and now I simply pay more attention to my feet and footwear hygiene.

This treatment didn't work on you, maybe because you used the same boots you've been using before treatment. You should changed your work shoes at the dame time you started your foot treatment. This is because your old shoes are already infected with athletes foot. Good luck 👍

Soak your feet in warm to hot water, then make the water hotter and hotter, soak for 10 minutes. You will feet the parts of your feet affected right away, the areas with the fungus will burn more than the non fungal areas on your feet. The hot water kills the fungus. Do this this every day for a week. Air dry your feet afterwards, then spray with with an anti fungal spray.

    GR8 video!
⚠️ BUT YOU NEED TO DILUTE IT FIRST!!
Dilute with water!! Do a foot bath for 30 minutes, then use a paint brush to paint the areas with SEVERE athletes foot with just hydrogen peroxide. Then after an hour spray your feet with athletes foot spray/a cream and then put your socks back on. I do this at night, then go to bed with no socks on and then when I wake up I’ll put some spray on my feet again, put on socks and go to work. Then when I get home I IMMEDIATELY take off my socks and air out my feet.
That’s how I treated mine, now every week I do a hydrogen foot bath.

thank you for watching and for sharing as well😀 . That's what I thought. Hydrogen peroxide by itself doesn't work (at least not the 3% solution I tried).
what kind of socks do you wear? are they any special (cotton, wool, etc)...

You don't have to. 3% it's not a strong solution. People use it to brush their teeth so you can imagine...

@@BestForMyFeet For 3%, you can put directly on the feet. Normally one would spritz it on and let it air dry. If soaking in 3%, I would not do it for more than 5 minutes, otherwise I would recommend dilute it 1 to 1 or 2 parts water.
Be careful about the container you use. The peroxide can cause plastics to leach pollutants that your feet will absorb. Glass container is healthier.
You can reuse peroxide for a few days. But after that the peroxide will lose it's usefulness as it kills bacteria and as light breaks it down. If you reuse at least once, it will save you twice the money. ;)
If nails are infected, you'll want to trim and shave down the nails to help the peroxide penetrate. Be sure to also clean your tools in a peroxide soak.
Because nails are infected, you'll need to be consistent in cleaning for 6 or more months to let the infection grow out. Can even take a year or more.
Use a pumice stone or similar to remove the callouses. The bad bugs can hide there. Don't go crazy or you'll hurt your skin.
And always consult your doctor first.
