The voice actor is Stephen Stanton who also voices Tarkin. I heard him once talking about this episode and how he couldn't believe they wanted him to sing the lines lol
@Doctah Wahwee In all honesty despite I dont like everything Disney is doing with Star Wars, I also think many of the fans are extremely defensive and biased against it, they dont even bother to watch rebels or other new Star Wars content and instantly bash it based on scenes taken out context they see on review channels or things like that
I always laugh my ass off at the scene of AP5 singing while drifting in space. It’s like the episode of Futurama when Bender was drifting in space the entire episode. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even an episode as silly as this, that is Chopper and AP-5 centric with Wedge has important character development of both Droids. As well showing a continuation of the Seebo arc from season 1. This is what I keep saying about NOTHING Dave does goes to waste. And hot damn do I love that about Dave. Also if there's 1 big takeaway from this episode, it's NO BODY F**KS WITH CHOPPER WITHOUT HERA KNOWING. So looking forward to next week.
That point about nothing Dave does goes to waste hits the nail on the head. At the time these episodes were being aired, some of them might have felt a bit... lackluster on the week to week viewing. But by the end you realize that every thread throughout the 4 seasons all tied together for the finale. Dude's an animal. Now Resistance on the other hand, you can tell he didn't have much involvement with that one.
The episode was good .. until the moment where they just pretend to believe you can blow up a military ship just by broadcasting a radio signal strong at them... sorry but this was even worst than lightsaber copters
So funny Eric and Erin kept on saying maybe next episode is better......yeah....thats Twin Suns! Looking forward to hear what Rick and Calvin will say about the voice of Ben.
Chopper and AP-5 are so hilarious, because they're like 2 old retired war veterans who act like children... while serving important roles in a very serious military.
the imperial controller was based on Pablo Hildalgo and it was even going to be voiced by him... but in the end he was voiced by Josh Gad (Pablo even recorded the lines)
An enjoyable to see more development of Wedge Antilles voiced once again by Nathan Kress, but it's interesting that this episode has Josh Gad (Olaf the Snowman from Frozen) providing the voice of The Controller. Funny enough, Josh's Wife, Ida Darvish was previously in _The Mandalorian_ as Dara Vish. Looking forward to the most pivotal and emotional episode next week followed by the Season finale of Season 3.
AP-5’s musical number is the best Star Wars moment ever, hands down. Also, Calvin can’t play AP-5, he has to play Chopper. Or maybe he could play both.
I love when people bring up this episode in their arguments that Rebels is childish trash because it just means that they have zero understanding of what Star Wars has always been about from the beginning. Great episode and love that ending with AP-5 lol
@@theawesomeman9821 The OT was made for kids too but many fans love to choose to forget that. Star Wars has always been about appealing to kids, while also appealing to the inner kid in us adults. That's why I find episodes like this so fun.
You can actually transport electricity from one point to another Through the air Using microwaves.. At one point they were going to use it between the Hawaiian islands to transfer electricity from one island to another All directly through the airwaves ,,so the technology is there..Don't believe me look it up... In fact they have a video on TH-cam of the military test of transporting energy through airwaves over several miles.. Wireless power is possible even more so in space because it's a vacuum
Nikola Tesla had wireless power transmission using two opposite wound Tesla coils (the real usage for them) using modulations of standing transverse waves at a speed of 1.5c. This has been reproduced by the US researchers Eric Dollard and Peter Lindemann and mostly by the German scientist, Konstantin Meyl. Meyl has written collegiate textbooks about it and sells kits to demonstrate the operation.
I hated this episode when it came out, I don't know the reason (although I liked the ending with AP-5, it made me laugh) and because of that I skipped it in my rewatches, but after seeing it this time I really liked it, not that much for the writing itself but because of the character development and connections with other events from the saga
That happened with me for Sunny Day in the Void back in Clone Wars. Hasn’t happened for any Rebels season 3 episodes yet. All the ones I liked the least out of the whole series I haven’t changed my mind on with rewatches yet unfortunately
While this episode was neat, I have to agree with their hangup on the whole wireless transmission/hacking/exploding the spy ship. That whole element of the episode could have been handled differently or at least explained better. And Rick really thought this one was the worst episode so far? That's a hot take if I ever heard one. How about like, half of season 1? I'm sure there are a few others sprinkled in s2/3 that I'd rate lower (and no, one of them isn't the purgill episode). This one was a pretty decent transition episode where we gain a few more pieces towards the end goal and a little bit of character progression. While I love this show, I can certainly find stuff to nitpick about it.
Well I’ve got to say for me at least this was definitely the worst on my rewatch I’ve been doing. Season 3 definitely has the worst episodes in the series for me. But half in season 1? What? I honestly reckon the only bad episodes in season 1 are Droids in distress and Idiots Array but they have legacy characters in them to boost it up a little (especially Lando haha). The rest are good to amazing. Idk why season 1 gets such a bad rap, likewise I’m confused with the sentiment the show matures as it goes on. Season 3 is where the most immature stupid stuff happens and where the Empire is really shown to be the most incompetent repeatedly. I definitely think the actual best Rebels seasons are season 1 and 2 tbh
Such a stupid cringe episode. The main characters seem to be idiots only when it fits the story to keep going. Like Ezra forgetting he can use the force in like 90% of scenarios only to use it sometimes lol dumb episode

AP-5 singing came out of left field and I loved every moment. Hats off to the voice actor for being able to sing on key while also sounding robotic.
The voice actor is Stephen Stanton who also voices Tarkin. I heard him once talking about this episode and how he couldn't believe they wanted him to sing the lines lol

It was surreal and that's the kinda humor that really gets me.
I love how these Imperial's failed because they underestimated how much of an asshole Chopper usually is😂
They found out how electrifying he can be.
I always laugh my ass off at the scene of AP5 singing while drifting in space. It’s like the episode of Futurama when Bender was drifting in space the entire episode. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

One of my favorite episodes purely for the “Hey you, Imperial sleemo; Keep you hands off my droid” and Hera proceeds to obliterate them remotely
The singing part was by far my favourite part. Self-mockery at it's best.
Next. Episode is more important than you could possibly imagine
I dont remember what episode it is 🤔

I love this episode, and that AP-5 moment is beautiful.
Wasn't it pretty much mocking the fans who thought star wars was gonna become a disney musical?
That story about the singing part for Stephen Stanton is great.
Man I love Thursday’s.………AP-5 just randomly signing while on the float has got to be the funniest damn thing in this series.
The actor who voiced AP-5, Stephen Stanton, also voiced Admiral Raddus in "Rogue One."
And Tarkin in Clones Wars, Bad Batch and Rebels.
And Ben Kenobi in the twin suns episode which is next week can't wait
No wonder Raddus sounds like Jeremy Irons.

Perfectly fine with wacky, standalone, calm before the storm but not when all the smart characters become stupid.
I mean its a children's show
I don't approve of Bad Chopper but do find him entertaining ;)
