Hi, Your videos is good, thumbs up for the effort. I have S6 lite, the original spen soft tip and plastic tips (which i purchased separately) were worn out very quickly due to paperlike screen protector. So looking for a more durbale tip now. But i fear now that the metal tip ruin the screen protector. And if i use metal tip without screen protector, will it damage the screen? Need your advice
Hi! Thanks for watching! The metal tip will probably wear down the paperlike screen protector over time. I personally use a paperlike screen protector. I wouldn't feel comfortable using it on the screen directly. It also depends on how much pressure you use. You don't want to press very hard (dig into the screen) just normal writing pressure. Depends on your comfort level.
Have you been using the metal tip for a while now? Is the spen still fine? Because there was a review that said it messed up the inside of the spen because it was too hard. I kinda want a second opinion to this because maybe it was just their problem and the way they use their spen
Samsung can't guarantee third party nibs for thr spen. So there may be some risks using it. For mines personally, my pen is still working fine. Of course you don't want to push the nib in too far and you also don't want to apply heavy pressure with the metal tip. If you're worried, you can always use the metal tip in a different pen. There are alot of EMR stylus options that will work on the Samsung tablet. The staedler pencil is a great option and you can use the metal tip in there as well. The pencil itself is affordable and could be a nice backup if you're worried about damaging the spen. check out the links in my description!
thank you for the video!! how much more durable is the metal tip compared to a normal rubber tip? i heard rubber tips goes through extrememly quick on matte screen protectors
yes, the metal tip is wayyy more durable and is a no wear solution. Just keep in mind that the matte screen protector may have to be replaced every so often instead. You do have to be mindful not to press really hard. You don't want to dig into your screen with the metal tip. You can just let it glide across the screen.
I have one question please I have s6 lite can i use mettle nibs or not ? Bechare im using paper like screen protector and replaceable plastic nibs but the nibs are getting disrouied after one drawing 😢 Im confused which nib should i use now
I have samsung s7 plus and used the spen that came with the tablet. If your s6 lite uses the same spen as mine, then the metal tips that I put in the description should work. If you have a different pen then you need to use tips that work in your pen. I have also used a Stadler emr pen and used the metal tips there and they work as well.
I still have the same metal tip and screen on. But I also don't use it on a daily basis. By the look of the metal tip, I can't see it wearing down. The metal tip on the matte screen is more textured when writing or drawing on so its not slippery like using the regular nib on the glass screen protector. I feel I have more control. I think it would still feel grippy using the regular nib on the matte screen as well. It just wouldn't last as long.
I got the 5 pcs plastic tips for $2-3 at our e-commerce site. The metal ones at $3.50 for 2 pcs. I still find the plastic tips more consistent in writing and drawing feel. Probably because I use a glass screen protector and not a paper-like feel screen protector.
Hi sweetie!, found your video so useful, im also wanted some advice if its ok, I buy the metal ones for my spen for my tab s9 but... When i try to draw in clip Studio it didn't work, the nip wasn't even touching the screen and it was drawing lines, very thin ones, i do t know what i do wrong 😢
I think it depends on what you're going for. The aluminum is long lasting but a little noisy when it runs against the paperlike screen. The original feels nice because it glides against the glass, the only issue is that it won't last long. I did not like the plastic tip at all. it wore down way too fast. Maybe there's a different brand or a better quality hard plastic but the one I tried, I don't recommend.

hey your video was really useful! i have a quick question, have you noticed any pressure sensitivity loss with this metal nib on the pen? i saw this on another review but it wasn't for the s pen so it might not lower the sensitivity of the samsung stylus.
I personally have not seen any issues with sensitivity. my tablet is also inside of a case eith a built in screen and I haven't noticed an issue myself.
Do you think that pintip would ruin your window overlooking your sink or your front windshield because I could argue that that's exactly with the tablet glass spoiled be similar to ruining lol you definitely don't need to press that hard to install the pen tip
Hi, I already have for a long time the tempered glass mica on my Samsung s6 lite, but I would like to put the matte paper mica over my current mica, as I would like to try that texture and incidentally the titanium tips that for me are a novelty, do you think I can use double mica (the tempered glass + matte paper)?
I'm honestly not sure how it will perform of you double up on screen protectors. Is there a reason why you want to stack two screen protectors directly on top of each other? In another video I actually do something similar because I bought a case that came with its own screen cover so I placed the matte screen on the front of my hard case and I left my glass screen protector on the actual tablet itself since the tablet was inside the case...I hope that makes sense. You should watch my other video on when I installed the matte protector on my case.
The truth is I would hate to waste my tempered glass mica but I would like to try the matte mica. Thanks I will watch your other video@@littlepeaceofhappiness
@sakitex1057 I would hate to waste the glass screen as well. I saw someone taking the glass screen off and trying to save it on parchment paper. I've never tried that though
I personally am an android user. the Samsung s pen is for writing. when you ask about reading pdfs are you asking about apps? samsung users seem to like samsung notes for reading and annotating because if you have a samsung laptop, you can sync it there. But if you prefer OneNote for notes, then maybe an Microsoft surface or apple would be better because Onenote app for Android is not very good.
the metal is better than plastic because it will last longer. I like the metal tip and the original rubber tip that came with the spen. it also depends on the screen protector you use. the rubber tip is smoother on a glass protector. While the metal tip feels better on a matte/paperlike screen
So do you reckon the rubber tips are the optimal choice for a glass screen prot? And either plastic or metal tips for a paperlike? I dont know anything about tablets or pens so im just trying to do some research before purchase. I intend to use a samsung tablet for taking notes and maybe a bit of drawing/painting :) I assume the softer of the materials in contact will wear down first if there's friction on the surface, so i guess you get to pick what you feel like replacing more often? replacing plastic tips if paperlike or replacing paperlike if metal tip? I'd be happy to hear suggestions on good pentip/screenprot combos :)
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! I think it really depends on how you want it to feel in your hand. If you're painting, then I think the spen that comes eith thr tablet and the rubber tip would be nice because it would glide smoothly with a little bit of friction (very little). I think you can still use a metal tip on the glass screen protector if you don't want the tip to wear as quickly but I wouldn't use the metal tip directly on the screen surface without some type of protector. even with the paperlike screen protector, the metal tip still slips against the screen very smoothly. For me, I wouldn't go with thr plastic tip at all unless you find a harder plastic that wouldn't wear as quickly. Thr plastic tip I used in this video wore within the first hour and it was really wasteful. Unless you want to try the wacom one pen that has a harder plastic nib and you can use that on the paperlike or glass protector. It wasn't my personal favorite because I felt like it was too slippery across the screen and the tip was too large.
@@littlepeaceofhappiness because i was ordering the spen tip so i saw one is titanium and copper can you give me a brief the info about the metal tip is it rounded or pointy like a needle ?
the one I use in the video is titanium. Sorry I misspoke when I said stainless steel. And in the video I show a close up that it is a round tip.
