these airpods exist for those who loved the og design or can’t stand the silicone tips, and for that circumstance, these sound amazing and the anc works great for those whose ear’s can’t fit the silicone tips of the pros
Exactly. I hate something in my ears. And these are perfect for that. They don't fall out, but no tips in your ear canal. The noise cancelling is good enough to block out the whirring of the fans of my laptop or PC which is great. But you do get some pressure, which can be annoying. But it does depend on the fit in your ear.
same. i hate something plugging my ears, will be buying the xiaomi buds 5 in a few days. i refuse to spend that much on earbuds. thats why i am going xiaomi (they have the same shape).
I still have the OGs and decided to wait until the 4s came out. Would you say the 4 are an equally great fit? The OGs for me never fell out, even after hours of running and sweating. Hell, I’ve even gone climbing with them, never fell out. Will the 4s be the same?
@@estradanacionalparaarrente2769 I am personally an airpods pro 1 user, but having tested the airpods 4, yes i’d say they fit great if the original designs were great for you. And at this point, this is as close as you can get to the OGs going forward. So yes, get the ANC Airpods 4. But i would recommend trying out the Pro 2’s incase they fit you, because they’re the better buy if they fit.
I’ve been wearing the AirPods 4 ANC for 9 hours a day Monday - Friday for over a month now. I work next to busy roads, construction and near garden/power tools. I previously wore the AirPods 3 for over two years and I had to have their volume maxed out all the time and I could still barely hear them. The AP4 ANC are a literal revolution. I have them on half volume all the time with ANC on and I can hear all of what I’m listening to as clear as day. You can still tell there is noise around you but 85% of its overall disturbance is gone. The battery life isn’t as great due to the ANC but I put them in the case on charge for half hour on my lunch break and they are good to go for the rest of the day. Being able to nod to answer a phone call is also a very nice to have as my hands are often wet/dirty. For the £180 they cost they are worth every penny and more. I didn’t buy the AirPod Pro 2’s as my Dad has a pair so I tried them out but didn’t like the bit that goes right into your ear. Overall they are an amazing piece of tech that I now couldn’t live without and at £180, why wouldn’t you buy them.
I can’t stand the silicone tipped ear pods either so I went the AirPods 4 with ANC and love em. The break room at work is very noisy all the time and the ANC on these are amazing for blocking it out. As you said it doesn’t get rid of it all but it’s definitely way better since it now means you don’t have to have the volume on max anymore damaging your hearing.
I don't know why you need to listen to stuff near roadways, which is certainly going to run high RoS and RoHS concerns on your health more than cranked earpods, but why didn't they work like this in the first revision, why isn't the cost now closer to a $18 price at this long last (see also: LED light bulbs, solar panels price per kW,) and why do pressure-sensitive stems control with subtlety rather than play/pause/hang up? Buy AirPods 4 ANC and hear for a 9 hour days, plant permaculture and fund a band with 4 kW amps to hear for life.
@ I don’t understand half of what you’ve put here but the bit I do understand is about listening near roads. I work mostly on residential housing estates and don’t actually work on the roads, just peoples property’s and sometimes the pavement. There’s no danger.
Putting a case on your case is dumb. I bought into the hype, and bought one. When I put it on and saw how much bigger it makes the nice small case, I decided case on a case was a dumb idea.
depends on which type of case you put on it. i got one from casetify and it's pretty thin. doesn't add much to the case. though the rugged ones definitely do defeat the purpose of how small they are

@@joshuagaughan2902 alight. It’s not as good as it is with the tips in but they don’t fall out and they sound good enough when running. The tips just push out for me no matter what size I use. If I bought a set now it would probably be the ANC4’s though.
10:59 with the mic of the airpod pro 2, there is a small grill at the bottom of the stems, it’s in the thin metal at the stem to make contact for charging, that can get filled with gunk and cause the mic to be blocked.
@@oborovyi so I happened to have a cheap electronics cleaning kit that I bought for a few dollars on amazon a year or two ago. It has a pick and a brush that I gently used on it. After I wiped the whole outside of the AirPod with a cloth. I didn’t use any alcohol because I didn’t have any around.
I’ve been using the ANC ones for a month now. I have to walk past a loud construction site every weekday, and the ANC pretty much erases the construction site noises to a point where I don’t even realize they’re actively working. The first week I just took out my AirPods, while walking past the construction site to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. This may be because I’ve never used ANC before.. but I’m telling you this place is LOUD when you’re walking right next to it. With the ANC on, I barely notice it. This is with music on by the way. They work incredibly well. If you don’t like silicone tips and want ANC, these are pretty much perfect. Also, after the first couple of days, I didn’t get the pressure feeling anymore (maybe I got used to it).
Have you ever tested over ear sony xm4 or xm5 headphones? Or maybe bose ultra headphones, or the air pod max ones. They offer superior ANC. Try those and see the difference. Also, the bose qc ultra earbuds are supposed to have the best anc in earbuds full stop.
@@HasanAlKharfan have you tried putting those in your pocket? And I never said AirPods have the best ANC. Not even implied. The qc ones have silicone tips. It’s like you didn’t read my comment at all.
@@TheShadyXL i meant nothing malicious with my comment. Just honest curiosity. Have you actually tried the ultra earbuds with their larger silicone tips? They aren't as annoying as the old 5 buck wired earphones. P.s.The folded xm4s did fit in the pocket of one of my cargo shorts😅.
@@HasanAlKharfan no worries. And no, I haven’t. I can’t stand silicone tips. They either fall out quickly (due to my own ear canals being a bit weird), or they feel super uncomfortable.
Personally for me, any type of silicone tips inside my ears leads to irritation after using for a while so the newer Airpods 4 with ANC are such a handy gadget where i dont have to carry on big bulky headphones for even decent noise cancellation and they can just slide in a pocket.
I've been using the ANC version for the past 3 weeks and they are absolutely phenomenal. I never used IEMs at work because I can't stand having that tight silicone tip in my ear for 8 hours a day so I always used a small speaker next to me at work. And I finally accepted that tethered IEMs suck at the gym. I hate the fact that bluetooth IEMs are practically ewaste once the battery runs out but what can you do. It's just not worth giving up the convenience anymore for me. They fit great, don't pressure the ear and the ANC is phenomenal for everyday use. Maybe not strong enaugh for a plane but I just need the sound to be reduced, not eliminated. I'd say these reduce the volume of any background noise by at least 70-80%. As a semi-audiophile, are they the best sounding headphones ever? Of course not, especially at that price. But I was pleasantly surprised how much quality you get out of them. They emphasize the mids a lot which perfectly fits my musical genres but the bass obviously won't blow out your brains. The imaging is also surprisingly solid.
As an ex owner of the beans who switched to AirPods Pro then AirPods Pro 2 Because the beans had no ANC The “ANC” was just for the spec sheet I know the new Samsung buds pro are better at ANC but the beans were not it.
The will Probably Get Buried but I did end up keeping mine and it's Important: On the ANC4s *on Android, Out-Of-The-Box you CAN ONLY choose between ANC-On / Transparency modes.* You CANNOT turn them just to "Off" unless you connect them to an iPhone to change the physical tap default to be able to toggle between all 3 modes. -- Which yes, you can do & does work. But still makes Apple's claims of 5 hours of battery life (no *Only on Apple * on this Spec btw) kind of dubious. The ANC is genuinely very good. So is the transparency mode. Probably the best I've heard. But 4-5 of max battery life that will only decay in "current year" is ridiculously bad. And there's no reason they couldn't have set the 3-tap functionality out of the box other than "Fuck you, you don't have an iPhone."
The three ANC setting functionality doesn't come out of the box because if the ANC is set to off Hearing Protection features will not work. Prior to iOS 18 the "off" setting was available all the time in control centre but now you need to manually enable it in the settings app, due to this very reason So it's understandable why it doesn't come like this out of the box, they should really just make an android app for those.
I'd be willing to bet you money that an over-ear that cost half as much has SIGNIFICANTLY better ANC, just by measure of more, bigger and better placed mics. Now that isn't to say the Airpods 4 is bad, it's just saying they are handicapped with how good they physically can be
@@HyperScorpio8688True, but the reason people buy earbuds over headphones is because of how compact they are, as well as the weight when wearing them. You can’t put a headphone in your pocket. It’s comparing apples to oranges.
I bought the 4 with ANC and I had the PRO 1. I'm really happy with it. The ANC is more than enough for me, great on planes and train and also to cover the music in the gym and listen to my own music. My ears don't like the in-ear after one hours but with the 4 I can wear for much longer So yes. Really happy
For those of us who want the true wireless experience but can’t stand those little gummy tips in our ears. We appreciate what Apple does on a daily basis.
The clear double sided mounting tape is the only way I’ve been able to clean the microphones. The transparency and ANC got immediately better. I do it once a month now.
I have LOVED my AirPod pro 2s. Adaptive noice cancelling on them is perfect for my work and the noise cancelling is fantastic (though a little much without sound playing).
I tried every headset with ANC: Sony, Airpods Max, a number of others one I cannot recall right now. I always had that pressure in my head but I also had some weird pressure in my stomach (weird, I know). I got these airpods with ANC. The pressure in my head is still there but the pressure on my stomach is gone. They are great.
I replaced my 3's with 4's with ANC, and they are 1000% better for me - fit my ears better, sound a lot better, probably partly because of the better fit, and the ANC is shockingly useful.
10:54 had the same mic issue with both my wife’s AirPod Pros and mine. Hers on the left and mine on the right. It eventually breaks the ability for the ANC and Transparency mode to work. I gave her my right one so she has a fully functional pair and I have both the broken mic ones that now have none of the perks of AirPod Pros.
@@tylerN76796 I took them to Apple and they don’t do repairs on them. My guess is it’s from repeated drops: case drops, falling out of ears and hitting the floor, etc. Then the mics which are fragile start breaking and introducing static. There is a small grill at the end of the stems. It’s in the metal at the bottom of the AirPod pro 2 stems that make contact for charging, it’s really small and it can easily get gunk in it especially if the case has some gunk already at the bottom of the case

I few years ago I switched to open ear headphones for my desktop. I noticed I was getting quite fatigued when wearing closed ear headphones for long periods of time. Switching to open ear headphones solved that. When my airpod pro’s died some time after, i was so in love with open ear I decided to just get normal airpods and loved that experience too. Recently though, I started traveling in public transit and took a few flights too and quickly missed having ANC as an option. When I saw they released these new airpods with ANC i was ecstatic! They really are the best of both worlds. I mostly use them without ANC and have a comfortable, fatiguing free experience like before. But no when the background noise gets too intense that I would have to crank up the volume on my media to hear it, I can turn on the ANC. Like Linus said, its not going to cut out all background noise. Actually in my experience it pretty much doesn’t at all. However, its almost like wearing earplugs where the volume level gets significantly reduced, which is kind of cool. I can still hear the outside world but its so low that my media is much more pronounced. It makes me aware but not distracted and I actually enjoy that a lot more than the total noise isolation you get with something like the Pros.
Apple really does good ANC. I have the Pro 2s and was on the bus one time and wanted to scratch my ear so I took one out, the moment I did I realized the bus had its air conditioning on and it was actually super loud around me. And I don't even have them in full isolation mode but dynamic mode.

Sorry mate, I've bought the galaxy beans the moment they were out and they ANC nothing, cant tell about the new buds 3 tho, but I got the ANC Airpods 4 and the ANC is just enough for my needs (mostly blocking fans, gf talking on the calls in the next room etc)
@@casparhughey5651 i have the galaxy buds 3 pro and their anc sucks. They are not worth msrp if you want anc. Their sound is good but in noisy enviromentts, the anc is not even close to enough.
I’ve been using my ANC AirPod 4s for almost 2 weeks now, the noise cancellation is pretty good but not as good as the Beats Studio Buds I upgraded from. I also noticed with higher pitched noises, the AirPods will over correct the cancelation if you turn on ANC and create a weird noise inside the earbuds that isn’t being made by the outside world, it most noticeably happens with stuff such as large amounts of glass clanging together or silverware jostling around which generate high pitched noises
They blast noise-canceling sounds of the HVAC using open speakers in the air vents in some offices. The mics are inside the vent so it doesn't cancel out office noise though.
Getting the same problem with the mic on the Airpods Pro 2. Got them fall of 2022 and lately, people started complaining about the mic quality when on a call. Sometimes it feels like a bluetooth issue when they described the sound a little choppy or whatever, other times it apparently sounds muddy.
I bought the pro 2 and am happy with everything they offer except the fit. I’ve tried everything, all the different types of tips. But nothing fits right. The discomfort sets in after about 30 mins of use. Then I’m fidgeting, constantly trying to readjust them etc. These offer the same ANC and features as the pros, so I’ll buy these and try them just because they don’t have silicone tips. Hopefully they are comfortable. 🤞
The OG airpods were a device I could work with at night. Easy to keep in while laying on a pillow. With the silicon tips it can become quite painful and with the airpods max it is just blatantly annoying. So having a modern option for the formfactor actually is something I really like. I am fairly interested in the non-ANC version for normal day to day usage instead of the Bulky max’s. Especially for that first call of the dag after I’ve just put hairgel in. That will ruin your headband. Also gym. Way easier to keep free of sweat.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live didn't have the silicone tips and had ANC so the Airpods are not the first. They weren't perfect but Silicone tips always irritated me after about 5 minutes of use and I could never use them which is why I always looked for a solution without the tips.

The battery on them is slowly slipping away but I will keep using them till they die.
Just casually doing a handstand is wild. Pretty sure if I did that I’d break a bone and likely something in the surrounding environment. Stay flexy Linus.
I got my airpods pro 2 USB-C last black friday for less than the MSRP of the airpods 4 with noise cancelation. If price is your thing, get the pro version, it has better features for the same money if you catch it on a good sale. If you don't like IEMs, get the regular 4's and be happy with them.
The Sennheiser PXC 250 didn't have any big passive isolation, they were circumaural, so they were in any way isolated by the usual standard and they are ooooold, like 2007 old or so, but they were not aimed at completely isolate you but just eliminate unwanted noises like in a plane. Everything sounded... strange, not that there were artifacts or things like that, but as they eliminated the echo, you brain was confused because in a room there's always a little echo that your brain interprets like you're in a closed space, but with no echo it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere with no noise. Should've been fun for deaf people
Keep in mind, airpod 4 ANC does have a pairing button just on the bottom of the led, If you put a case, It cannot be detected so the case has to come off,,
Been an airpods 2 user for around 5 years. I'm in the unfortunate category of users who use them more out of necessity -- my tiny ear-canals eject even the smallest IEM nozzles/tips and over-ears suck cuz they eff up your hair. And BT is essential for me cuz of how often I'm moving around. They're the best BT seal-less earbuds out there, so comfortable I forget I even have them in. So having that no-seal fit with ANC sounds like a godsend since that's been their main drawback in my experience... The other is typical -- not being able to easily repair :( had to resort to 3rd party refurbishing services but they were never quite flawless... Not looking forward to round 2 of that crap!
At 10:55 linus starts a sidebar about the pro 2’s mic and at 11:13 he says “I don’t know what if anything could degrade about them” I wonder if the mics fatigue from using ANC “too much”🤷🏼

I’m use 2 sets of AirPods pro2s in machine shops and I’ve not had much issues with them. I do clean them with 91% isopropyl about once a month. My first pair of AirPods Pro 1s took 3 washing machine cycles before dying, and only 1 earbud died.
My man never heard of Huawei Freebuds 3? Had mine and used almost daily since 2019 and still works flawlessly to this day. Passable adjustable ANC and passable audio quality for 2019 standards. Ofc cheap huawei prices, think i payed 100-120 USD at the time
I have yet to own a pair of earbuds that don't degrade in sound quality over time. Giving them an isopropyl alcohol bath tends to help so my working hypothesis is that it's earwax and dirt getting into the grills and possibly inside. The amount of dirt and hair that I found inside the drivers of PortaPros after a couple of years was always shocking to me as well, and getting as much of it out as I could improved the sound. I haven't had issues like this with circumaurals, even the ones that were in use for two decades.
11:18 around the bottom of the stem, around where it connects to the charger, there is a small opening. You can barely see it, but that is the mic. Clean that out and your mic quality will improve.
Glad they released another model without silicone. I’ve been daily driving the non pro 2’s for years because I hate silicon earbuds, I just really prefer the fit/feel and even the sound of the classic apple earbud design. But the battery’s on these are starting to die a bit quicker now so perhaps I’ll get a pair of these if I see them on sale. Full price is a bit much.
Headphones with ANC and no real isolation: Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. Still using mine and extremely happy with them (also they have the highest ifixit score of all).
Hi guys, asking for advice here, I currently use the OG Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, I am considering getting AirPods 4 without ANC because I don’t need it. Worth or no?
I got the AirPods 4 anc , and the voice isolation feature for calls is a game changer. I had to attend a call in the middle of a program in an auditorium and I had the worst seats in the house , right next to the loudspeakers . But would you know , the 4’s voice isolation feature completely cut off the music and speech from that loudspeaker . Bonus , I was whispering on call as to not attract attention . The noise level difference and the sheer “isolation” is pretty darn impressive .
I am in the situation now where I have to get new ones due to a missing airpod and some other reason, the airpods 4 anc seem quite compelling now. I Was hoping that in the last apple keynote they would present airpods 3pro, so the 4 anc seem like a good bridge until the next pro ones are releasd 👍
The ANC works fairly well for medium levels of noise in open areas. On a bus or subway though, they aren't effective at all. Unfortunate the pros 2 are too long in the back for my ears, to the point that using the correct size tips caused my ears to chafe and bleed. I love the Sony WF1000-XM5s for their sound and ANC, just wish they did multipoint as well as Airpods do.
I've been waiting for this for many years. Not a big fan of silicone tip as my ear is a bit sensitive. For me, the ANC on AirPods 4 works great as it allows a bit of the noise outside while I am able to listen to whatever I've been listening to while walking/commute. Even though it is rated on 4 hours w/ ANC on, everything just works well considering the longest time I'm using it is like 2.5 hours before putting it back to the case. On a single charge (full both case and the earphone) it last me up to a week. But the conversation awareness thing, I sometimes noticed a bit delay.
ok so i never had the pro's so i can't compare & i absolutely hate noise cancelling especially in gaming, idk I just like to hear everything around me. but i did a week with the 4's using the ANC in a heavy machinery environment. and let me tell you.. They absolutely work! it does give you that pressure in your head type of feeling but cancels out nearly 80% of the louder noises BUT when something is really loud like a heavy object slamming on the ground or pipes falling it pierces that noise cancelling and sounds like a gunshot went off in my ear! & then echoes that sound a bit also, that transparency mode.. Kinda useless when trying to make a conversation with it, It takes a few words for the ANC to shut off then the second i stop talking it immediately turns back on in which i can't hear the other person, So I often just take an earbud out or hold the ANC to disable it completely before i talk. It's a really impressive piece of tech tbh and besides every time you move your head you can hear the ANC kind of readjust almost like wind in your ear it does the job, last around 3 hours like my older gen 2 airpods. definitely worth the extra $$ if you are in louder environments and can almost completely replace my earplugs with these while listening to music or podcasts at half the volume of my older airpods
These AirPods are a godsend for people who gave up on earbuds altogether when the market shifted to in-ear tips. The ANC is probably 80% as good as over ear ANC headphones, with a ~90% size reduction. And the audio quality is really impressive.
So, when using AirPods 4 in a call, swipe down in control center and change the mic to isolated and you’ll block out all that external noise. Yes it’ll sound highly processed, but you won’t hear a vacuum or drill.
Yesterday was my birthday. I asked for AirPods 4 with ANC, but my fiancé found AirPods Pro 2s for only 10$ more at Costco and got me them. Wow. It is insane how good they are compared to my old gen1 AirPods.
I'm still pretty confused. Is there a difference between AirPods Pro Gen 2 & AirPods Pro 2? I have a hard time believing you went through two pairs of AirPods Pro 2 since they were released, which I thought was quite recently.
I had the pros 2, personally didn’t like the heavy feel of noice cancellation; I love background noise in transparency mode sounding natural, which is what the airpod 4 ANC delivers. The ANC on these is great with media playing. For me, I prefer the 4 ANC
around 2/3 years ago i used the Huawei freebuds 4 that had ANC, worked great for the London underground everyday. paired with the Huawei p30 pro was a great combo
I have had one of those silicone tips detach from a pair of earbuds during a workout, leading to them being stuck in my ear. Since then, I went for a long streak of avoiding earbuds with silicone tips until I switched to the AirPod Pros. I have never experienced the silicone tips detaching during activity while using the AirPod Pros, but I certainly do not want to have a repeat experience. If the AirPod 4s with ANC offer a “good enough” listening experience and are suitable enough to use during exercise (such as running), I could be tempted to switch away from the pro model.
I have AirPods pros and AirPod three I find myself gravitating more toward the three on a day-to-day basis because the silicone eventually makes my ear get sore but I can wear the threes for hours and not notice they are even in.

these airpods exist for those who loved the og design or can’t stand the silicone tips, and for that circumstance, these sound amazing and the anc works great for those whose ear’s can’t fit the silicone tips of the pros
Thank you!!! This is my take and why I use regular AirPods 3s and have beats pro for running.
As you said it doesn’t get rid of it all but it’s definitely way better since it now means you don’t have to have the volume on max anymore damaging your hearing.
please watchout for your hearing, maxing out airpods is really damaging for your ears
Health is wealth
TWS earbuds' main selling point (as of I know) is compactness so adding a case feels like it will defeat its whole purpose for me haha.
I have one I pull out for hiking trips. For every day though I don't use one either.
depends on which type of case you put on it. i got one from casetify and it's pretty thin. doesn't add much to the case. though the rugged ones definitely do defeat the purpose of how small they are
@@KanadeTachibanaBlackMidi the main selling point is not having a wire wrapped around your neck

10:59 with the mic of the airpod pro 2, there is a small grill at the bottom of the stems, it’s in the thin metal at the stem to make contact for charging, that can get filled with gunk and cause the mic to be blocked.
Came to the comments for this answer because the mic on my AirPods Pro 2 is garbage after a couple years. Thank you! Going to clean mine now

Yeah it did. My right mic was pretty blocked. It’s not quite as good as new, but way better.
@@VinnieBrazelton13 How did you clean it? The grill is really tiny and I don't want to damage it. Did you use isopropyl alcohol?

0:10 how did he forget about the beans
Worst ANC ever. Very comfy though!
Because it sucked lol
As an ex owner of the beans who switched to AirPods Pro then AirPods Pro 2
Because the beans had no ANC
The “ANC” was just for the spec sheet
I know the new Samsung buds pro are better at ANC but the beans were not it.
The will Probably Get Buried but I did end up keeping mine and it's Important:
On the ANC4s *on Android, Out-Of-The-Box you CAN ONLY choose between ANC-On / Transparency modes.* You CANNOT turn them just to "Off" unless you connect them to an iPhone to change the physical tap default to be able to toggle between all 3 modes.
Prior to iOS 18 the "off" setting was available all the time in control centre but now you need to manually enable it in the settings app, due to this very reason
So it's understandable why it doesn't come like this out of the box, they should really just make an android app for those.
@@HyperScorpio8688 obviously. if youre making this comparison you dont understand the target market for these.
I bought the 4 with ANC and I had the PRO 1. I'm really happy with it. The ANC is more than enough for me, great on planes and train and also to cover the music in the gym and listen to my own music.
My ears don't like the in-ear after one hours but with the 4 I can wear for much longer
So yes.
Maybe the mics are getting dirty?
@@tylerN76796 I took them to Apple and they don’t do repairs on them. My guess is it’s from repeated drops: case drops, falling out of ears and hitting the floor, etc. Then the mics which are fragile start breaking and introducing static.

Try to clean them. We resell airpods and the amount of dirt in every single one is unbelievable.

AirPods Pro 2 can regularly be seen on sale for $180 + tax. I just got a pair for that much during Amazon's Prime Day Sale.
Apple really does good ANC. I have the Pro 2s and was on the bus one time and wanted to scratch my ear so I took one out, the moment I did I realized the bus had its air conditioning on and it was actually super loud around me. And I don't even have them in full isolation mode but dynamic mode.

0:50 Linus, remember bamboo labs uses ANC on some their 3d printers
The mics are inside the vent so it doesn't cancel out office noise though.
my airpods pro 2s ANC has also gotten a little worse over time. maybe i do need to look into getting them cleaned. there may just be shmoo in the mic.

Should've been fun for deaf people
I have had AirPod pros for years now and this video is how I found out you can change the volume by sliding the necks
Keep in mind, airpod 4 ANC does have a pairing button just on the bottom of the led, If you put a case, It cannot be detected so the case has to come off,,
7:01 You get that too? I thought I was the only one who got that!
I get it too in the full ANC mode. I recommend using Adaptive mode, it’s far less intense and almost as effective.

10:01 I think that static in a phone call is actually a feature. You know is the call connected or not. Straight from the landline era.
I just noticed how much attention was put into the set. It's really in theme with the category of products show.

But the conversation awareness thing, I sometimes noticed a bit delay.

this is making me really happy with my purchase of the airpod pro 2s that i didn't know had some of these features
Do they support head gestures?
ok so i never had the pro's so i can't compare & i absolutely hate noise cancelling especially in gaming, idk I just like to hear everything around me. but i did a week with the 4's using the ANC in a heavy machinery environment. and let me tell you..
This is the second time I saw Linus listening to Annie Lennox and I'm so happy, cause I love her music
There is a charging cable on the AirPods 4. you just have to take out the middle packaging in the box to get to it.
older airpods had a cable but the newer ones do away with it
These AirPods are a godsend for people who gave up on earbuds altogether when the market shifted to in-ear tips. The ANC is probably 80% as good as over ear ANC headphones, with a ~90% size reduction. And the audio quality is really impressive.
Huawei made the Freebuds 3 in 2020, AirPod knockoff design with no tips and active noise cancellation. I got to try them, worked amazing for me.
Seriously, having no volume control is just pure shame in 2024
I'm still pretty confused.
I’m glad the ShamWow guy is making tech content now
How do these compare to the Sony WF1000XM-5?
Poorly.
Passive isolation is always going to be better when added to ANC. Both add to each other. Sony has both, these only have 1.
I smell an apple fanboy @@cdangers
@@BucephalusHume Reading comprehension much?
@@cdangers I'm just gonna say I was drunk
I used the original Pro 1 as my hearing protection in manufacturing factory, it works well too
So there might be a chance of AirPods’ microphone degrading by time!? Because I really suspect the same with my pairs of AirPods…
Wow that's the first time I see Linus using actual shoes. Keep it up Linus!
Are you in transparency mode or full anc?
gen 2 for life. most comfortable
I have AirPods pros and AirPod three I find myself gravitating more toward the three on a day-to-day basis because the silicone eventually makes my ear get sore but I can wear the threes for hours and not notice they are even in.
What about the microphone?
As someone with tinnitus, I appreciate that apple is still releasing new earphones with poor noise isolation
Linus casually doing a handstand walk is something I clearly wasn't expecting 🤐
