Had given some thought about maybe purchasing a set of AP4’s (ATC) after your review tho I’m on the fence about picking up another pair AP’s. For everyday use, like Brandon, I prefer the AP4 (with noise cancellation) over the APP2. Now the only time I use the APP2 is when I mow the lawn or vacuum because the noise cancellation is better. I just find the AP4 to be more comfortable and don't fall out of my ears as much as the APP2 did when I'm working out in the yard.
This 100%. I have both as well, and the 4’s are now the ones I pickup the most. I save the pros for flights and maybe yard work, but the pros always come loose and have fallen out numerous times. The 4’s don’t ever do that for me.
Yes, same here. Totally agree. And cancellation of background noise and wind when speaking with someone on the AirPods4 and Pro2 is nothing short of AMAZING!
I just picked up AirPods 4 with ANC yesterday and I love them I like to hear my surroundings when traveling more move about so they perfect and case of size Is great nice and sleek looking.
I've just tested out my new airpods 4 with a walk down shop, I totally love them. Thank god I paid the anc, it's the best part and blocks out very well. I am totally amazed, everything sounds silky smooth it's wonderful. Highly recommended

🎶I’ve used the pros and pro 2s for several hours a day since the pros came out. 🎧Tried the 4s for a few hours yesterday. My thoughts below: - They fit alright but I kept feeling they’re going to fall off. Right ear fit was looser, less sealed / good than left. Was a bit weird, and can’t fix since no silicon sizes - The sound is really good. Little bit less sound stage ‘space for all the different noises to occupy?’ If that makes sense. Little less ‘vibrate-y’ bass, but all quite punchy - sssick transparency mode. Slightly better than pro 2s - ANC was incredibly impressive. Somewhat worse overall than pro 2s, and took like a second to adjust using the H2 chip when I moved them around in my ear or just gently bumped them to adjust them bc i felt they’ll fall out (which they didn’t, I tested headbanging etc). They sorta suppressna few less frequencies and it’s a different flavour of ANC… but they remind me of the Sony XM5s which I own for a while. Really really good. - Don’t forget the sensor for when they’re not on and to stop playing music… is optical on the 4s… so it’s a bit derpy. You hold it / have in your palm / desk and if the sensor sees any of that it starts playing. I personally would spend the $50ish for the Pro 2s any day, given the fit and silicon work for you. Many more features, much better find my, etc. But despair not - if you dread silicons or the pro fit… these are really really good. If they fit yo ears

However hearing aid is still not available in the UK 😥 but hopefully soon
With the amount of podcasts and audiobooks people listen to these days, I’m surprised how few reviewers mention the quality of spoken audio. The AirPods 4 have superior quality in the regard, which surprised me. Ergo, in a quiet environment or one with minimal ambient noise, AirPods 4 are better for podcasts/audiobooks.
I am coming from owing the Airpods 3. I now went to the Airpods Pro 2 for the same price as the 4's from Amazon, during their sale. Made more sense. I did try the Airpods Pro 2 before purchasing, i must say it was better in noisey environments. Great video and testing.
Love the AP4 with ANC. Upgraded from my AP pro 1st gen. Also, the AP4 case doesn’t stick to MagSafe because the case is too small to exceed width of MagSafe ring, NOT because the magnets aren’t strong enough.

I have gone a step further and had a tiny chip implanted righ next to my right ear with a thin wire travelling under the skin of my chin to the left side of my head. This makes listening to my music during workouts, shopping and gym visits so much more convenient. The battery is recharged whilst lying on my pillow at night. The surgery cost a bit of money but totally worth it as I find it difficult nowadays to function during the day (and most of the night) without a constant music soundtrack playing.

I just went to the apple store and I am torn between either. The Airpods 2 pro are better than the 1st gen. They are lighter and fit better. Im leaning towards the airpods 2 because they are much more comfortable, but I did find myself using the original airpods more before upgrading. Definitely going to get AirPods 4 with ANC whenever they are on sale at Costco or Amazon, since I’m not in a rush to buy them. AirPods Pro fit me fine, but they definitely aren’t the most comfortable for my ears. The classic OG wired EarPods were very comfortable for my ears, and the 4’s are like a throwback to that design
My Airpods Pro first gen have the same weird hissing sound while in ANC or transparency mode, I got the AirPods 4 (standard) and I am super happy with them
That's a good question. I have a pair of the Pro 2s, but I do have a moderate hearing problem, so I'm using the new update to the Pro 2s as an over-the-counter hearing aid. If at some time Apple decides to do the same to the AirPods 4 then I might consider buying a pair.
After cleaning my airpods pro 2, I started getting this unbareable high pitched sound mixed with static. They could play music, but they would make my ears hurt in the process, so I have taken them in to an authorised service provider of Apple, who say they should have a replacement ready by next week. It's such a pity. They have worked so well most of the time, but every six months or so they have been taken to Apple due to the need of a deep clean, given that the noise features stop working. If anyone happens to know some way of stopping this, that would be so good. I am just questioning whether I should get these fours just because I may no longer have this issue, but the volume swipe, slightly better sound quality, skin detection, hearing features and such are things I really don't want to lose.
My first gen Pro’s did that high pitch and static noise thing after cleaning, that was during Covid and Apple wanted the price of the pods to take them in to be looked at so I didn’t bother. I’ve refused to buy Apples earbuds since, when a simple cleaning does that to such expensive earbuds it’s a no no from that point on for me.
@@InimitaPaul I can appreciate that. I was on the verge of buying some wired ear buds instead, but they didn't charge me for the repair. Apple have finally released a detailed method to deep clean airpods, and in fairness, it uses things you wouldn't normally think of. No mention of Alcohol or whatever when wiping the meshes, just mysolar water, then a clean with distilled. I had never heard of such a method. I am going to wash my tips once a week going forward, so hopefully this will help in not having to do deep cleans every six months or so...
@@tobiasheath529 I have a once a week cleaning routine for my AirPods. Ever since getting these, I told myself that I’m gonna keep them super clean 🧼. Unlike before where I didn’t even bother cleaning my 2nd generation AirPods until like 6 months or so 😂. Yep! NEVER again 🤮🤦🏼♀️. In fact, I can’t even let the 4s get dirty to THAT point. Because unlike the 2nd gen AirPods, these have the special features such as anc and transparency mode. And to let them get THAT dirty would ruin the features. Meaning they won’t function properly. So yeah! Also, less cleaning needed if you clean them once a week. Work smarter. Not harder! Am I right 😉
I upgraded from 2 to 4 and had my doubts about the noise cancellation. You don't realize how really good it is until you turn it off. even if you are just using one pod.
Control ANC using the volume, just turn it higher. That’s what I do to cancel out the background more. Therefore, The fit’s comfort level and the smaller case of the 4s are what makes them winner winner chicken dinner: Glad I bought them honestly.
@@chrisa6549 Trust me, most will not need to turn volume up much more than 50%. That will not damage the ears. Sticking silicone tips in one’s ears ain’t no bargain with irritation possibility and many comment about tips being uncomfortable.
I returned the airpods 4 this morning. They need to work on the shape still. It would not stay in my ear after a while. I will see what happens next fall.
Originally had the first edition pros, bought the 4’s with anc and loved them. Although because the pro 2’s only cost 10 dollars more off Amazon I decided to return my AirPod 4’s and get the pro 2’s. After 3 days with the pro 2’s I’ve decided that the AirPod 4’s with anc are the better product for casual use and people who aren’t always in loud environments.
Whenever I go out, I usually bring the pro and the earpods (I still have the travel case from the iPhone 5). When I listen to music, I wear the airpods and whenever I take videos, i use the earpods. The earpods still has a superior microphone to any airpods.
Good commentary, as usual. I have found that the stem on the airpod (I have the Pro2) get in the way when wearing a bike helmet (with strap). Have to be careful there. Also, the volume swipe is a pain at the angle and how not easily it reacts...I have tried the different settings. I might go back to my Jabra's for bike rides.
Hi mate, I was asking myself all the time whether AirPods would be better for under a helmet. I have Jabras (Elite 65 Active) and I think that they are actually too big for under the helmet that it hurts. They get pushed too far in. Which Jabras do you have?
I have tried your method for taking airpods from case and I can confirm that airpods pro 2 is very easy to take from the case using your method, so I don't see how airpods 4 can be even better.
I’m currently using the AirPods Pro 1st gen and I’m thinking of buying a new pair of earbuds. Should I go from the Pro 1 to the 4 ANC or should I directly get the Pro 2??? What do you guys think?? Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I have AP 1 and 2pro but I never like the pressure of the snug fit of the AP 2pro. I use them around water, loud areas, and doing stuff involving more movement. But if I'm doing casual stuff I prefer to fit of my old AP1. The AP1 has been acting weird and dropping connection and or dying out of the blue with a high battery, so I figure time to replace it. Liked the video and I will be buying the AP4 w/ANC. My wife is smaller (4'10") and hates the ear pressure of the AP2 pro, so maybe the newer AP4 might be a better option for her.
I’m going to get my first AirPods, have seen a million video reviews and still can’t decide 😢 I have the money to get either, but do want to make a good decision
I am deciding on getting AirPods 4with ANC I have the AirPods Pro 2 lightning version i absolutely love the AirPods Pro 2 the block out noise completely but I wear my AirPods basically all day it helps with my Autism I don’t like loud noises I tried the AirPods with ANC they seemed impressive I am definitely keeping AirPods Pro 2 until AirPods Pro 3 come out
Hello Brandon, hope you’re doing good. I was thinking of buying the AirPods 4 because I cannot use the pros because of my ears. They just fall off so right now I’m using the GEN two yeah I know it’s old, but the other ones cannot fit my ear and they fall off so I’m going to try the AirPods GEN 4 I like your review and hopefully they fit me this time thank you very much and you have a good day. Love your videos.❤
I just bought the AirPods Pro 2, but I have noticed that when I working in the yard, they pop out of my ears. I the past the AirPods 3 did not pop out of my ears as much as the pro 2. Did you experience the new AirPods 4 popping out of your ears?
Opposite for me. Pros fall out, especially left side, but the 4’s (and old AirPods 1/2) don’t. Main reason I use the 4’s as my primary and keep the pros for flights.
no they feel like your hooking on ur ears, its weird but when u try it you'll understand. Its comfortable too, for me atleast its very tight feeling so the ANC works very good.
Just got those, they’re very good just one thing, why did Apple make the case smaller than AirPods 3? That means a smaller battery case as well right? I have the AirPod 3 and the case size was perfect in my opinion!!!!
I have pros currently and I’m having issues with the right one. So I was going to upgrade. Do you think I should hold out for a better pro version next year or is it worth it to get the pros 2?
I noticed you said you prefer the ap4 because of noise transparency. Is the transparency better than the pros? If not the pros have both transparency and noise cancellation. Wouldn’t that be the better choice?
I liked the AirPods 4 and really enjoyed them. The noise cancellation was excellent, but after an hour, I started feeling discomfort in my ears, which became annoying. I ended up returning them and getting the AirPods Pro 2. I found them to be a much better option for me compared to the AirPods 4.
What about hearing Aid? Would the 4 work with it when Apple release the software for it? Issues with hearing and was planning to get the pro 2 because of it.
Didn’t know that AirPod 4 were out and now that you shown the 4, I decided that’s a no. Because it slips out more than the 2 that’s the opposite of what you said. I’ll keep the “2”.
I had to exchange my AirPods 4 for the Pro 2 because one of the ear pieces didn't fit in one ear. Another problem I noticed was that they would lose power overnight. I believe it's because they do not have a skin detection sensor. I probably am wrong about that, but I couldn't think of another reason. As for the Pro 2, I love them. So I don't miss the AirPods 4.
I had the AirPods Pro 1 and 2 and I hated them. I don’t like the soft tips. I bought the AirPods 4 and they are awesome. My ears got sweaty and itchy with the Pros.
Not gonna lie I love the AirPods 4 yes the pros are the better ones but personally these are my favorite they fit good sound good the ANC is surprisingly good for open ear headphones i been using them way more than pros
Yes because they do not fit in ear the noise cancelling is “trying even harder” to cancel outside noise than something like the pros would. This is that static hiss you’re hearing.
@@DeRosaTim yes but if it’s night and quiet the anc still produces they hiss. No anc is fine. I replaced it with apple but it’s still there so I’ll just keep it
I personally prefer the pros for the rubber tips. Without the rubber tips ANC is basically useless. You can still hear way too much of your surroundings. For me the whole point of earbuds is to not hear anything except the music or podcast.
Just pick up the wired 19 dollar earpods. It offers spatial audio and losseless. More than enough! Why bother with buying a wireless earbud which you need to keep charging. They don't last long either.
I had AirPods Pros (first gen) but they broke on me and now I have the standard model of the AirPods 4 and for me the sound quality is way better than on the Pros (first gen)
This is a preference some ppl dont like things jammed in their ears me being one. I rather sacrifice a notch of 2 of sound than for my ears to hurt in an hour
As someone who tried & returned the Beats Studio buds, I think the AirPods 4 are better in most areas. Pick them up and compare, you can always return them if you don’t like them as much
The "skin" sensor isn't really a skin sensor. It cant tell if it is in a pocket or in an ear. It just looks for the reflection of IR light bouncing off of a material.

Why are your ears so filthy?
Not harder! Am I right 😉
@@fallis07???
I upgraded from 2 to 4 and had my doubts about the noise cancellation. You don't realize how really good it is until you turn it off. even if you are just using one pod.
Thank you very much for the cool information…🤝😊👍
Control ANC using the volume, just turn it higher. That’s what I do to cancel out the background more. Therefore, The fit’s comfort level and the smaller case of the 4s are what makes them winner winner chicken dinner: Glad I bought them honestly.
it doesnt work like that 😭 yes it “cancels” the background noise, but damages your ear even more in return
That’s on you bro
They fit in my ears too well it actually hurts sometimes, Im not complaining though the ANC works better with my ears cause of how well it fits
I appreciate you Brandon I was having hard time trying figure out do I want buy AirPods4 or Pro2 this just made my decision a lot more easy
The lack of volume control on AirPods 4, a feature in AirPods Pro 2, makes upgrading unnecessary.
Same for me.. Bought the AirPods 4 ANC today and so much better than my old air pods pro…
Would you say 4s are at the same level with Pro 1gen when it comes to ANC? Thanks for the video
Make a decision and stick with it bro
Whenever I go out, I usually bring the pro and the earpods (I still have the travel case from the iPhone 5). When I listen to music, I wear the airpods and whenever I take videos, i use the earpods. The earpods still has a superior microphone to any airpods.
earpods isn’t a thing. it’s just airpods or airpods pro
At sale, Airpods Pro 2 goes down to near the price of the airpods 4 anc. In that case, would you still choose the AirPods 4? Thanks
just sad people now want the 4 more damn bro i feel bad im keeping my pro 2 for a long time
the pros 2 are better tho, why would you downgrade your airpods unless you want no ear tips
@@PsiloCubenisThat is exactly why lol I have both. They have their pro’s and con’s
dont feel bad i still have the 1st gen airpods lmao
i lost one and now i lost the case with the oder pod so idk buy the same or the 4s
question guys! does the airpods pro 2 come with a cable???
@@HrBeeR 75t..nothing in or on my helmet touches them.
I have tried your method for taking airpods from case and I can confirm that airpods pro 2 is very easy to take from the case using your method, so I don't see how airpods 4 can be even better.
Great review! Thanks 😊
I’m currently using the AirPods Pro 1st gen and I’m thinking of buying a new pair of earbuds. Should I go from the Pro 1 to the 4 ANC or should I directly get the Pro 2??? What do you guys think?? Thanks!
PRO 2 THERE GREAT, LIKE TONY THE TIGER WOULD SAY 😂
I could wear the pros 2 till they run out of battery, they feel almost perfect to me.
What’s up Brandon? I’m so happy to see you again! How are you, and what are you doing for the weekend?
I’m going to get my first AirPods, have seen a million video reviews and still can’t decide 😢 I have the money to get either, but do want to make a good decision
If your hands are full at the grocery store, how is it convenient to have volume controls on the AirPods when they require your hand?
I’ve had my AirPod Pros for 4yrs now and I still use them daily but is it worth me changing them now for a newer model
Hell no
Nope. I’m rocking mine since 2020.
What do you guys think about the battery on Airpods 4 now? Will it die out after like 2-3 years? Really curious about this.
Volume for the air pods 4 - accessibility voice control
I just bought the AirPods Pro 2, but I have noticed that when I working in the yard, they pop out of my ears. I the past the AirPods 3 did not pop out of my ears as much as the pro 2. Did you experience the new AirPods 4 popping out of your ears?
Don’t these fall out without the tips on the pros?
They stay in my ears better than the Pros
Yes they do fall out and I have to return them
Opposite for me.
I absolutely love the AirPods 4 ANC!! I love them after owning them almost a week and I love them
Do you love them?
i just wish you could try them at the store to see what fit is better.
I have pros currently and I’m having issues with the right one. So I was going to upgrade. Do you think I should hold out for a better pro version next year or is it worth it to get the pros 2?
One year is a long wait and not guaranteed they will make a new one, just get it now
@@alycks6056 I like how you think.
Today grabbed airpods 4 with no ANC as far as i have Sony XM5. Really nice headphones even in basic version
When are the AirPod Pro threes coming out?
Are you still enjoying the AirPods 4? I was thinking about purchasing them.
I need the tips so the AP4’s are a no, I love my pro 2’s
I noticed you said you prefer the ap4 because of noise transparency. Is the transparency better than the pros? If not the pros have both transparency and noise cancellation. Wouldn’t that be the better choice?
they’d be better since there isn’t any seal so you’re naturally letting more noise in
Does the first ESR case that you showed come with a set with a cleaner?
Great video I bought both at Amazon on Sale
I liked the AirPods 4 and really enjoyed them. The noise cancellation was excellent, but after an hour, I started feeling discomfort in my ears, which became annoying. I ended up returning them and getting the AirPods Pro 2. I found them to be a much better option for me compared to the AirPods 4.
You returned them to? Here in ug I wanted to return mine and they were giving me 60 dollars.
@@sheifssemakula7116 “In KSA, you have the right to return items within two weeks.”
What about hearing Aid? Would the 4 work with it when Apple release the software for it? Issues with hearing and was planning to get the pro 2 because of it.
only the pro2!
Im also using my pro’s as hearing aid. I have to use this for hearing.
Didn’t know that AirPod 4 were out and now that you shown the 4, I decided that’s a no. Because it slips out more than the 2 that’s the opposite of what you said. I’ll keep the “2”.
Which one is loader
If you buy Airpods 4 WITH ANC, is their still an option to turn ANC off?
yes but can’t really do it from the airpods themselves you would have to open ur todays view, hold down the volume and from there you can turn it off
You can certainly turn it off using the pressure sensor on the AirPods.
Do I need the anc model for transparency mode conversation boost etc?
I had the AirPods Pro 1 and 2 and I hated them. I don’t like the soft tips. I bought the AirPods 4 and they are awesome. My ears got sweaty and itchy with the Pros.
I use Siri for volume control, works fine for me. :)
Not gonna lie I love the AirPods 4 yes the pros are the better ones but personally these are my favorite they fit good sound good the ANC is surprisingly good for open ear headphones i been using them way more than pros
Facts. I love them A LOT more than I anticipated
I love my AirPods 4 BUT ON ANC THEY HAVE STATIC SOUND. Is this normal ?
I returned mine for that reason they are trash
Yes because they do not fit in ear the noise cancelling is “trying even harder” to cancel outside noise than something like the pros would. This is that static hiss you’re hearing.
@@DeRosaTim yes but if it’s night and quiet the anc still produces they hiss. No anc is fine. I replaced it with apple but it’s still there so I’ll just keep it
My 4’s don’t do that but my Pro 2’s do. It’s super annoying.
Heard a lot about them falling out when doing activities and i was playing basketball for about 2 hours and they didnt come close to slipping out
Just upgrades from AirPods 2 to AirPods 4 with ANC and I feel a huge difference. Im absolutely loving the upgrade.
Great video!
I personally prefer the pros for the rubber tips. Without the rubber tips ANC is basically useless. You can still hear way too much of your surroundings.
For me the whole point of earbuds is to not hear anything except the music or podcast.
Both were almost same price bearing 10-20 $ doller id go for pro version for anc
If the pros don’t fit in your ears cause of the tips the 4s with ANC are worth it if you want some AirPods!
I prefer some anc to full anc. I like to stay connected to the world.
Best review
Just pick up the wired 19 dollar earpods. It offers spatial audio and losseless. More than enough! Why bother with buying a wireless earbud which you need to keep charging. They don't last long either.
im still going for pros
I had AirPods Pros (first gen) but they broke on me and now I have the standard model of the AirPods 4 and for me the sound quality is way better than on the Pros (first gen)
Are air pods better than my jbl tune flex?
Tried the 4’s great fit but for gym use the pro 2’s are a lot better ANC. Returned the 4’s
@@SharkLifeSean well yeah a seal will always give better ANC. AP4 aren’t competing there. It’s only about fitment and no silicone tips
@@BrandonButch agree- I loved the 4s for fit and having no tip but for the gym It was not good enough for me :(
Amazon prime day had AirPods Pro 2 on sale for the same price as the AirPods 4 so I got the pros
Airpod 4 does not have sound insulation due to the lack of tips. You can't get a perfect seal without the tips.
This is a preference some ppl dont like things jammed in their ears me being one. I rather sacrifice a notch of 2 of sound than for my ears to hurt in an hour
I’m currently rocking the Beats Studio buds, is it worth switching to the AirPods 4?
As someone who tried & returned the Beats Studio buds, I think the AirPods 4 are better in most areas. Pick them up and compare, you can always return them if you don’t like them as much
I have and love both.
The "skin" sensor isn't really a skin sensor. It cant tell if it is in a pocket or in an ear. It just looks for the reflection of IR light bouncing off of a material.
It's called a proximity sensor genius
