Took me a few seconds to get used to the new voice in English but it was so much more efficient to follow your process along with this :) Thank you for going to all the effort, Angel & Company! I'll just watch your Spanish version if I miss your voice too much lol
samprastherabbit do you like the English version? I can use my voice but my pronuntiation is not very good 😅 and I want to offer god content🤗, here the Spanish version th-cam.com/video/VBVH6KZZ-BU/w-d-xo.html
I've enjoyed your videos quite a bit so far and really appreciate the extra effort to dub English audio - while in many cases I don't mind reading subtitles, having the dub for your videos allows me to better focus on the techniques you are using. You have a new sub, keep it up brother! Also thanks to the Miniac podcast for sending me your direction.
Hubris73 I REALLY appreciate your comment 🙏🏻, I want to offer a good content for the community and the most important FREE! , for me the English audio is better than English subtitles so people can understand better the videos, I can speak in English but.... I have Spanish accent and my pronunciation is really bad 😅 and I want good quality🤗. Scott is a great guy!!
I started the video and was completely thrown off with the english voiceover while expecting to read subtitles. This is great for us who dont speak spanish. Allows us to focus on the material being deleivered or just listen while hobbying.
As a non-native English speaker and non-native Spanish speaker I really prefer your videos with subtitles over this. But perhaps it's a personal preference. And also - experimenting and testing new ways is great. Thanks for your videos!
a budget advice : prime with grey then basecoat it with white or black if you don't have white or black primer, that's what i usually do. Then do the BSL color pickings as needed
I generally prime with black or grey then add zenithal with a white primer or lately using ink. I’ve even gone with 3 primer colors black from underneath then grey from slightly above the side and then white from about 10 degree from vertical.
I use a 0.3mm nozzle/needle for my airbrush priming. a small needle is fine for just that, super small amounts. the 0.3 is controllable and easy to do small layers in shorter time.
Great video, but you might want to remove the original sound when adding the English voiceover for future videos like this. What are your thoughts on using the many other primer colours in the Vallejo range?
TamsinP yes, Vallejo has more primers and it is really good, for example, if you want to paint a blooda angel, you can use the red , I'll record sime videos with these primers. Did you like the English audio? Or do you prefer subtitle?
@@AngelGiraldeZ yes, I did like the English audio; it was much easier to follow the video than with the subtitles. As I said, though, it might be better to remove the original Spanish audio as the two voices did sometimes conflict.
Thanks for yet again of another good video. I must add though that even though you can achieve same kind of effects with sprays, sometimes it's just not possible. In this case one way is to use drybrushing. That's a way I've used if I've wanted to have two-toned basecoat. Or maybe you just don't have airbrush, like I don't. And when painting tiny models (15mm infantry) spray painting individual figures just doesn't make sense unless you paint a horde of Soviet infantry.
Really great videos. They are nice and clear, and your explanations are easy to follow. Your experience is obvious. I would love to see your techniques on a larger scale too.
Thank you so much for all of your tutorials. They are incredibly helpful. I see that at 4:07 you airbrush in little bursts, however, I feel that when I don't alternate between "air" - "pull trigger back" - "air", I get a lot of dried up and clogged up needles. Do you have any advice? It would also be great if you could make a video on airbrushing focusing on the right hand, rather than how the paint is applied to the mini (i.e. the movement, best practices, etc.). Thanks so much!

Just checking if I got it right, you paint all the mini from a certain angle? Not just from way up above the mini like the zenith prime? Do you have a vid on the zenith prime and what’s the advantage for this over zenith or other way around?
There must be something I keep doing wrong, because airbrushing Vallejo primer is such a pain. Even if I thin up to 50/50 with airbrush thinner it it cures in my airbrush very fast (at least if I'm trying to prime several models). I always have to deep clean the airbrush afterwards
Great Video Angel. I would really like to see a video on glazes. Do you ever increase the amount of grey you add to the zenithal base coats, Or do you highlight up with colours
Angel GiraldeZ Thanks. I will definitely blend the the grey more too. It does leave speckles and spots if it’s not blended. When you start to add glazes or thin colour coats it really shows through
Do you ever find you get dry tip after a short amount of time using the Vallejo primers? Am I doing something wrong. I am typically using Vallejo Airbrush Thinner and Flow improver with my Vallejo primers. Should I just be using water?
It is normal :) dont worry! Sometimes I thin the primer with thinner or water and also brush the tip with thinner to remove the dried primer from the needle :)
Is it possible to do the same priming with just a brush? I'm new to painting minis and don't really want to invest into an airbrush before I've worked out whether I want to go all the way into this hobby.
Replying 2 years too late but yes, you can use primers to brush on with a regular handbrush and it is the most "healthy" way to prime a miniature: by handbrushing you avoid airbrush aerosols or the toxic spray can dust. However I would not suggest Vallejo primers for handbrushing, as these have a very rubber(like) consistency once applied. I would go with Scale75 Primer Black, Pro Acryl Primer Black or Ak Interactive 3rd Generation Primer Black. If you struggle with painting bright colors over a black primer undercoat, I'd go for a grey primer from the mentioned manufacturers.
