Wow, thanks for this cool tutorial. This is a great introduction. First just the boxes without pictures, just to understand the principles. And then when the first step is understood comes the graphic. Super structured. Now I just have to translate it for my son, who doesn't speak English “yet”.

32:55 in the current version you can right click inside the polygons and select "Apply to whole animation" to affect the selected animation or "Apply to all animations" to affect all your created animations

you can just right click the background to lock it, and also right click it, go to align, and make it fit the whole screen which is way easier.

I now understand everything you told in the video
But the problem is i am creating my game in android
And the keyboards inputs arent what i need
So i tried to add sprites and added x and y values individually to those sprites like a button
But i added +1 in x values to move right but it dosent work
I tied the -1 and it moved left
I am really confused
Would love to get an explanation for what m doi g wrong
Also i set my y to -1 and the sprite or the olayer is in mid air lol
I added the behavior to platformer to fix that but still my x and y arent working for some reason
Atleast the - values are working
But even in y set to -1 it still goes above not down idk its my first day i still dont get the touch settings
When my player walks to the right he walks diagonally up and down, how can i fix this to walk just right or left?

Hi, I have a problem with objects that should appear in the game when touching another object. This works without problems, but unfortunately the objects that appear are always in front of the player, even though the game is in front. How can I make it so that the objects appear behind the player and do not cover him.
That previous comment I made was not good... I assume you found out by now but when rightclicking on your player, prob the same way in Construct as in Buildbox, one of the options is Z order, and 'send to top of layer' I guess you made what spawns in, after you made the player, so that was on top.
Which one do you prefer

Or if you are on Chromebook press ctrl and scroll in or out(mouse) (touchpad) ctrl and pinch in or out.

I am only using half of this tutorial to figure out how to make games in construct
It still boggles my mind that we need to tell a game engine that pressing left should make the character go left _and_ turn left while also changing the keys is so obtuse. Changing keys on a game maker to make a character move should be as easy as changing the controls on an actual game menu screen. Yeesh.

my sprite is going about halfway into the ground and i cant seem to find a way to fix it!
