    Like you, I would've blamed the carb for the boggy running. I would not have sussed that the dizzy was at fault. After you adjusted everything for the second start, and engine burst into life on the first crank...I felt it was going to be all right. The agricultural sound of a pushrod engine is a welcome difference. O'ahu has really short, slow roads on which this Spitfire would feel at home. It wouldn't have to cope with anything above 60MPH for...oh...about 3-5 minutes. It's all 25-35MPH here. It was satisfying to hear and see your car whirring along! Now? It's a short winter nap for the Triumph as the C-10 takes its turn at bat. Your efforts have paid off; well done!
