    Please keep updating us on this. I'm having the same issue w my 77 spitfire, also running a weber carb. I am also looking for a run-through of Evac system to charcoal filter. Mines deleted, and I'd like to hook it back up.

    I offed the electric choke and installed manual choke. Much better now.

    I can't remember if you've already shown us the inside of your fuel tank, but...
    Like you, I've watched a number of videos about removing the fuel tank and throwing in a number of bolts and sloshing the whole mess around a lot to get any loose rust out of the tank. That SOUNDS cheap and simple to me, but only YOU can decide whether that's practical or not.
    I've enjoyed watching your progress on this car, and I very much like this car. Alas...I've no license anymore and don't even live on the continent.

    keep it. their too much fun. too easy to work on. tiny enough you can park it perpendicular in the garage. easy on fuel and insurance.
