Driving Lesson w Jack - Bay Parking | Hours 27 & 28

- In Jack's driving lesson, hours 27 & 28, we cover bay parking. The Uk practical driving test includes a forwards and reverse park (one or the other), with the forwards park usually being conducted in a public car park. Other manoeuvres that come up are pulling over on the right and parallel parking. During the recap at the beginning of this lesson we discuss the outcome of Jack's first ever mock driving test which was conducted on his previous driving lesson. We also revisit the emergency stop on this video to correct an error from the previous lesson.

Hi Matt, my instructor never gave me a reference point to do this reverse park and I am struggling at the moment as he just tells me to go to any bays. He just said you cant have reference points for bay parking. whats your thought on this? btw I really admire the way you teach your pupils it's outstanding keep up the excellent work!!
This is very helpful. Recently in my lesson I went well over the line and I misjudged my timing when turning my wheel to the right and straightening it. So when you said touch a bit, you meant to straighten the car as soon as it aligns parallel with the lines?
P.S. Is that a Peugeot 208 GTI you're driving? Looks sickkk

Been watching your videos since the beginning of 2018 and they've inspired me a lot that I've started adding them to my driving playlist. Safe to say I'll be learning to drive again from scratch after nine depressing months. I'll have to retake my theory test again as it expired, but I did pass it first time.

I’d definitely say the mock tests with your students were really helpful, making me feel more confident about the overall feel of a test and the potential errors that could happen. +Go2 Driving School the videos that helped me was watching the driving lessons you do with the student. but Doru's vedio helped me the most as i had the same strugle as his. i use to imagine i was the one who was driving kkk not Doru.would like see more mock test vedios they are really helpful.

I have taught my wife to line the white line of the bay she wants to go in up with her wing mirror, once it is in line either left or right she starts the turn and to be honest she ends up centre bay, and she uses the same to line the curb up under the wing mirror to position herself far enough forward in the bay, we are still working on reversing in to a bay. thanks for your videos, they are helping a huge amount as i can't find an automatic instructor where we live in mid Sussex, i know you don't teach auto, but the way you teach is great for me and for her, so thank you.
I got my test on 13th of June, been driving for a year, mainly because of my theory lol, that theory was a bitch to pass.
what would happen if your students went passed a speed camera a bit too fast and it went off. who would get the penalty? just curious.
Harry Wilson the instructor would as they’re supposed to be in control of the car and ensure these situations wouldn’t occur
Hi Harry, by law it's whoever is driving at the time. It should never happen though in this situation realistically. If it did it'd mean I weren't doing my job properly?

Hesitation at junction (where I couldnt see) and speed x
I’m learning this with my lessons and I’ve done 10 hours
I passed my test on the 19th of May 2018 and I still love watching your videos for any last minute tips! This is especially linked with my ability to bay park as I have a little less confidence with that manoeuvre! Amazing quality videos, keep up the amazing content!

Hi Matt, was on a lesson last week and went through a fairly wide and clear roundabout in 3rd gear. My driving instructor seemed quite annoyed and told me to always go down to second what's your thoughts on this and could I go through in 3rd?
You should generally go down to second, but depending on the size of the roundabout, it's not the end of the world if you go around in third.
Tq UWal I’ve found if it’s completely clear and you know you can go safely, I don’t see the Point in losing momentum, isn’t that the point of a roundabout to keep flowing and moving.
Aldeveron yeah that's what I thought, if i was to slow down to second it would only be affecting traffic behind me needlessly.
Hi, thanks for commenting. sometimes it's silly to drop down and slow down if 1) it's open and clear on approach 2) It has wide lanes and not very tight.
I use 3rd and 2nd depending on the above.
I'd say if your instructor is saying you must use 2nd then they need to be explain8ng the reasons WHY?

I failed for stopping at a green light but there was traffic and i was waiting for the right filter green light and I'm just so annoyed cause I would have passed otherwise. such a let down . I didn't put anyone in danger.

@@loadingadventures3159 you should have contested it and asked the examiner exactly what the error was because provided that you stopped before the line and did not block any traffic, I don't see why that would be wrong.
I failed my driving test second time with no minus but two serious mistake one speed and stopping close to traffic lights
