- Jack's driving lesson, hours 25 and 26 include his first ever mock driving test. The mock test took place from near the Derby driving test centre in the UK. Included is a detailed debrief at the end of the driving test. Included is the initial drive to site and the drive back home.

Go2 Driving School hey I just wanna ask a quick question. So I’m an Australian who is 16 and have a learners permit, I also am a citizen of the uk. However I am coming to England again shortly in about 3 months and I was wondering if I would be able to drive WITH someone in the car with me when I come back to England?
Kaden Aashif no you will definitely not be allowed to drive on public roads in the UK aged 16.

Great vid mat, and I would like to say a massive thankyou, i passed my test last Thursday with 1 minor and I don't think I would have done that without these videos. I had a total of 24 hours of driving experience which isn't a lot compared to many, and I just want to say to anyone reading this to watch all of the videos on here as they really help and good luck on your tests 😊

I have had a foreign license for 12 years and have recently taken 20H and passed in first attempt. But I must say that my instructor was nowhere as good as you are, if I had not had prior experience I am sure I would have failed with his instruction. So mate, you're a brilliant Instructor, keep up the amazing work you're doing!!

Failed my first test yesterday due to nerves:// got one serious and one dangerous lmao the worst thing is I know I can drive, the good thing however was that the examiner said I’m a confident driver and my observations are good👍🏼👍🏼

I passed my test, but the great thing about these vids. There's ALWAYS improvement in your own skills when watching others mistakes and driving skills.

I booked my test yesterday and I was reading the reviews for the Alvaston test centre and everyone was saying the examiners are really harsh and will fail you for anything!
Not true based on my experience
Don't listen to others hun, it will only add to your nerves on the day. Examiners don't fail people unless they have good reason. That line is usually used by people who fail but don't want to accept responsibility for their own faults. when you start, you start as a pass, it's up to you to keep it that way. That's the advice I have been given
I’m not going to lie I found mine to be marking very harshly in alvaston my first test it was heavily raining so I de misted the windows and I asked if I could put the heating on because it was to cold in the car , at the end of the test I found she gave me a minor for it when I asked why she said because the car became to hot ? And my instructor said he had never had a student marked down for that 🤷♀️
Did Jack have any private practice other than the 25-26 hour driving lessons before doing his mock test? I have had 10 driving lessons and no private practice.

I'm pretty sure that he doesn't, because he is basically giving them videos of themselves to watch and analyse. If anything, they should be paying more.
I've had my 6th lesson so far and feel like I will never get the hang of it

Hey Matt, I’m loving the videos! I’ve been learning to drive and have picked up so so much from you that my instructor hasn’t even covered. One suggestion, I know it may be more editing, but for better visibility and perspective of stuff like Jacks fault for not following lane markings, it’d be great to see a dash cam shot so we can see the road when it happens. I’d find that incredibly useful for referencing in my own learning. Well done Jack for passing!!
Passed my test on Friday with 2 minors, so happy but all too close to a perfect drive bar 2 silly errors.

when pulling out into the other lane in a suburban street, and there are parked cars on the road and you have basically drive in the other lane to go past them, don't you have to indicate past the cars parked on the road?, because in australia im pretty sure you have to, (BTW my test is tommorow)
He left his indicators on every time he pulled up on the left and right. Even if this was a minor fault..due to the fact he did multiple times should have been a serious fault. He didn't check his blind spot a couple of times again serious faults.
Why does Jack leave on the indicator?
i did my first mock today after 24 hours and i got 5 serious faults, had to move my test to the start of August, which is disappointing but i don't feel like i'm ready
Is it normal for people to have so many lessons? I mean I am in Switzerland and I've had my 8th lesson today. I already have my appointment for my driving test
fishermans friend pretty standard for UK ye, most people would have a test booked by this point

Often time people fail Roadtest not really cause driving is an issue, most of time it’s about being nervous. It’s ok to be nervous as long as your nervous is not greater than confidence you will be just fine. once confidence is built passing the Roadtest is just one appointment away.
the driving test isnt even the real test driving on your own once youve passed is the real.. test because you have no one but yourself to help you

Strange. Mock tests were very helpful with me i had about 5 or 6 before my actual test, certainly boosts your confidence up

timoe some roads tend to be national speed limit so you can sometimes
JM4 GAMING When it’s National I stay in 4th still
if your car had 6 gears and you went 70mph in 4th then the revs would have been insane! It's in the highway code to be aware of gas emissions and keep the revs reasonable.
quick question, when the examiner tells you a direction and you have to ask them to say it again would you get a minor for not paying attention?

In my driving lessons, when I’ve stopped at a giveaway road , I can’t seem to keep the clutch on connection ready to drive away, and I end up rolling back which results in me stalling the car. Is there any way I can prevent this?
Olivia Sells when your handbrake is on, give the car just above 1000 revs, and as there’s about to be a spot to pull out to release the clutch til you get the biting point then release hand brake and off you go

My driving instructor’s never taught me to use the handbreak throughout my drive, can anyone tell me what’s the use of it during traffic or traffic lights like this boy was doing
it's used when stopping on an incline/hill, used at traffic lights when a pause becomes a wait (so if you are sat more than 10 seconds, use it), it is also useful during some manouvers like turn in the road, controlled stop (emergency break) etc

Well if a car appears out of nowhere on a roundabout what was he meant to do? So he can fail his test for something that isn’t his fault.

Go2 Driving School True. Maybe I didn't listen to the video well enough but I was under the assumption Jack went to go and when he did a car was going really fast and came round and he was forced to stop? Am I incorrect here?
I understand the context of what you're saying now, you're correct it did come round really quickly. Watched the tape back and still didn't see it. Probably would if I studied it properly.
It's how you deal with it that makes the difference. Whatever happens on the test is what can happen once you've got your licence.
