I love your 0-Fucks-Given approach to how you deliver information - it´s refreshing and sounds like ím getting advice from an educated mate over a beer. Keep it up
Loved the 4HWW. It took me 11 years to get a winning business together after 3 or 4 efforts to set up a lifestyle business but it was worth it in the end. Great video chief 👌
"Get the fuck on with it" is exactly the kind of inspiration I'm looking for. I don't even know (yet) what your other videos are even about. Subscribed.
I was travelling to Australia for a month, my girlfriend had bought me this book at the airport on the way out as in passing I said I wanted to read it. I started reading this book out there and it made me leave my performance role in return September 2024. Specifically I wrote down on notes the exercise regarding leaving my job. It gave me the confidence to believe that the world wasn’t going to end if I go full time on my own business whilst leverage my time. Best decision ever.
I’ve seen this guy on my recommended page, never was drawn to his videos or vibe I thought. Now, I think I’ll be watching his videos for a long time. Great video.
3 Things That Helped Me Achieve Wealth: 1. I stopped telling myself, "I’ll do it tomorrow." 2. I started watching motivational videos. 3. I read a book called The Gilded Nexus of Prosperity
Gosh, thanks so much for mentioning the ADHD, that's a huge thing I struggle with. Also, chronic pain, so I can never predict how many hours of work I'll be able to squeeze into the day. Knowing that it's possible in this situation to set up a few businesses and still have freedom already helps a lot. I'm a book editor working with indie authors but my goal is to have a writers' retreat on a Scottish island where I could write looking at the ocean from the lighthouse, do long nature walks across the hills, grow my own food (I'd probably hire someone to help and to cook for me, unless I find a partner who cooks as well 😂) and read and talk about great books, science and philosophy for hours on end. I just need to make a couple million first, lol. I think we're slowly moving towards the old fashioned business system, when we had bakers, blacksmiths, shoemakers, etc. All sorts of merchants and artisans who each had something to offer. In today's world we also rely on other people's products and services every day but we forget that because most of us work for big corporations so we care less, we just do our job and hope we get paid enough. What the new rich are doing is bringing back pride, meaning and purpose into the work. Ultimately we are one big village of individuals with a bunch of unique skills and knowledge who have to work together in order to create a future worth living.
I took a masterclass on a whim because I had some extra time on a Tuesday night and it's helped me to do exactly what you describe. Joined a course that allowed me to quit my job, work with who I want, when I want and where I want (online). Business hasn't exploded but it's all about setting up the foundations right now, so confident in what I've learned that it's going to work and be part of the NEW Rich
Not all 65-year-olds are like your dad. Like you, I can’t imagine anything worse. I am a 65-year-old female with my own online business, married to a man with his own business. We work most of the time and love it. Never feed ducks. Use technology to our advantage. Just returned from staying in 5 star hotel for NY’s Eve and danced all night. Travel first and business, long haul. There are a lot of us out there. We don’t feel any different inside to when we were 30.
Great video James! Loved it! I’ve never bought T4HWW as I thought it was just telling you to outsource everything - and I love doing the stuff I do. Now you’ve said it’s a mindset shift I might go buy it. And yours too
Loving this. And all the content on this newer channel. I’m scratching my head for months how to be different on socials… I’m a carpenter and it’s very difficult to do that
Great video, James and awesome to hear that 4HWW massively changed your life too. Thanks for reminding me about that distinction between the 'new rich' and the 'rich rich', I needed that :)
9:00 is what made me click the sub button because i can definitely relate to you lol Thank you for this video! As a 25 year old man, I am eager to starting my journey of being a future millionaire and major content creator.
I enjoyed watching this and it's got me wondering what i can do as a school teacher that helps me achieve this wealth. Tutoring isn't enough to sustain any kind of real lifestyle.
Great inspiration, read the book many years ago but definitely opened my eyes. Still figuring out what to sell but certainly will try 😊🔥 Automating the lead generation with videos certainly is game changing 💪
I read the four hour work week back when it was published back in 2007 and it was a book that changed my life. It made me rethink arbitrage and using offshore labor. And I have been using a team in India for about 15 years and been able to work location independent.
Mate, do you have any tips for when your ADHD leaves you feeling completely emotionally/mentally drained. Love your content fella and thank you in advance 👊🏻
Made a fortune from telling people to eat less and now riding the wave selling people the dream sugarcoating how easy it is to create an online business, fair play
I didn't understand the 55 pound a week thing. So you said to them if they give you 55 a week they can use your services as much during that week as they want? (Like lots of check ins) And that came out to less than an hour of your time? Whereas if it's just one hour you have to give that full time to it? Was a bit confused about this
Yeah, especially after the first 2 weeks of "onboarding" a client, they only need a few minutes a day from you."Hey Dave all ok?" "yes thanks, missed yesterday's workout, going to do it today after work." "Cool, let me know if you need anything." that's 45 seconds some days. Other days 10 minutes. BUT RARELY did a client take an hour of my time each week, some took 5 minutes.
Legitimately been struggling to find a chef for this EXACT reason. Is there a title/role/place I can find chefs like this? Seriously doing my head in. Over in NZ atm and it's a struggle.
Hey james. I want to build an online community for my clients but unsure of wether I should use a facebook group, an app or a website. I saw you mention in another video about building an online platform and was wondering what platform you reccomend to use. Thanks!
So you only work 4 hours a week...? If you need to outsource 20 minutes a day to cook your dinner then that doesn't seem like freedom or "new rich" to me.
What personal training app did you use on your clients? I bought the book before you said its not that the book is so good, but it helpt you realise a couple of things. Great video
Ay class video, got a question, for in person coaching do you recon it's better to apply the same rule of weekly payments or do block of the class 5 or 10 sessions and base it off the hourly rate. And would you let people in the gym know that in online works out to be less money per months then in person session. Also what could be a good offer for a hybrid of in person sessions / online. If anyone has any thoughts i'd really appreciate the help, cheers, and as always a class video jimmy bey !
Memberships are the way to go with a proper contract in place! Much better for stability with your income and also better for clients because they'll be more consistent.
See I am a delivery guy, not an ideas guy, and Im good at it. All of this applies so heavily to me, but I just havent got the idea to get out of the standard 8-5 unfortunately. When that day comes I will be out of the corporate world so fast.
Great analysis, thank you! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
I love Tim, but this is peak survivorship bias wrapped in hustle culture fantasy. You’re not successful because of The 4-Hour Workweek, James-you’re successful because of timing, luck, and the privilege to experiment without catastrophic consequences. Delegation, automation, and online work aren’t revolutionary-they’re tools that require money, opportunity, and a pre-existing audience to actually work. Acting like these strategies are universally applicable is disingenuous at best and delusional at worst. This isn’t a guide; it’s a highlight reel dressed up as advice.
I love your 0-Fucks-Given approach to how you deliver information - it´s refreshing and sounds like ím getting advice from an educated mate over a beer. Keep it up
thanks mate, may have a beer in the next video

I’ll buy it again soon!

I remember that book back in the day by Tim and following his blog ravenously. This was 2007 when those concepts were so revolutionary
Must have had quite a few pingers to get brain zaps haha. Great festival, Great book.
Warner brothers, what a pill. When they stop working you know you're in trouble.

Great stuff. Consider toning down the caffeine consumption. Helps alleviate the high and low symptoms that ADHD propagates.

Wow. Just got inspired. Read that book when I was like 18 about 24 years ago. But how you put that, that's inspiring
So much gold here and a lot to apply. To apply this to guitar lessons would be fantastic. I wise I was wise to this when I was 18

Hi James - this video is a gem.

Yeah, make videos like this without any planning or scripting just let your ADHD brain go off on a ramble.
Made a fortune from telling people to eat less and now riding the wave selling people the dream sugarcoating how easy it is to create an online business, fair play
