I'm 70yrs young these 3 together ❤ Johnny Lang is not a Rock n Roller 😢 With Buddy Guy he shows what he was born to play. Ron Wood well, he's Ron Wood ✌️❤️🌼
An old school master of old school blues and some of the best white boy blues players you'll ever hear , it don't get no better than this kind of jammin
Buddy's "the man!" There's nobody quite like him, no matter how hard they try. He's one of the last genuine old time blues legends left, yet he never lords it over younger players, and that's the mark of a true gentleman.
Holy shit! I've been alive 62 yrs tomorrow june 8 and just witnessed the world class talent that is this video. I've watched Buddy in Nashville in clubs with less than 50 people in it for a $10 cover back in the day. Icon doesn't even begin. Long healthy life BG
Buddy is a master, and I was mesmerized by Johnny. He killed as always. There is no doubt. But the guy who really impressed me was Ronnie. I thought to myself “how’s he gonna follow Johnny Lang?” But when he comes out with the slide and finished up with some fiery Texas blues I was all smiles. This was a master class. Thank you gentlemen.
@@enriquemartinez1606 james is definitely the king of the slide guitar, but that doesn’t diminish or take away from Ronnie Wood’s playing on this song at all. If you don’t like him or his playing, good on ya. It’s not a competition. It’s an appreciation of the music and the player. Cheers
Johnny Lang is way underrated. He's carrying the torch for young blues players. Billy Strings is another who is awesome, and Derek Trucks, but those guys seem to get their dues.
It's generally a venue issue when comparing recognition. Many artists have selective venues or just bow out of the fame and glory that often falsely credits their talents. Townes Van Zant and Chris Whitley (RIP) are good examples of dedicated and absolutely talented artists that were low key on the venue circuit...by choice. Even tho both played abroad, the US circuit was often more regional. That often creates limitations when it comes to notoriety.

What great trio of blues players. Seen Ronnie Wood many times with the Stones, seen Buddy Guy a couple of times, remember watching Jonny Lang when he was just starting out at age 16, known then as Kid Jonny Lang and the Big Bang. What a great time to be alive!
I got to see Buddy Guy at a music festival where he brought nine-year-old Quinn Sullivan with him very cool and boy did that Quinn Sullivan play a guitar
I love all three of them. I saw Buddy Guy live twice. My friend took me to seeBB King and Buddy opened for him. I was mesmerized and hooked from that point on. I saw the Stones with Ronnie Wood twice but never saw Johnny Lang. I remember he was big in the 90d around the same time as Kenny Wayne Shepherd who I did see at BB Kings Blues Festival

@@caseyfisher6727 we saw them a few years ago at an outside venue, large stage, in the evening just outside of Toledo, Ohio. Tickets were pricey. I can't remember the name of the place. I'd have to ask my boyfriend.
