I love my 2017 CB1100EX. The updated 6 speed transmission, the 4-into-2 exhaust, and the 18in front and rear wheels with spokes. The 1100 is the current King of Oldschool Cool.

I did test ride the EU version of the CB1100RS in Paris, great machine, very sporty and a pleasure to ride, Honda did a very fine work on this modern classic model, I do not know if the RS version is sold in the US but if it is I highly recommend you try one.

The cb1100 was the best overall bike in the garage. The thruxton may be the best looking followed by the cb1100. The xsr700 is fun motor and stuff but not best looking imo, obviously this gonna be subjective. That's a keeper imo. But hey that's part of the business of flipping bikes lol.

I'll miss it. Even though I've been a Harley rider for many years, I got my start on Japanese UJM's way back in the 80's. The CB1100 takes me back to those times.

Thank you for the great comments about the cb1100. Look forward to hearing what you bought, and sold for. I was so excited when I saw your first two videos, and to hear someone so seasoned, to talk so highly about it. I have the exact bike, even the same crash bars... It offers everything from comfort to smooth transition in any direction, and as smooth as butter, but plenty of power if, and when you need it... Jon thankyou for all your videos, by far, some of the finest, and fun videos to watch... Just a little sad your letting go. You're just passing the joy onto someone else...

2 different awesome bikes, but if I had to choose
    CB1100 in a heartbeat.
It's your call man & I respect tbat. Hope you get back into a CB and build you're own cafe racer in the future.

I have had the opportunity to ride the CB1100 at my local Honda dealers spring open house and I really love that bike. A classic UJM. I owned a 919, which I absolutely loved. I would like to find one used when I get my next ride. I really enjoy the channel. Good luck with the next addition to the stable. Thanks for all the insight. Ride safe.

I had this bike recommended to me so I've been watching videos on it. I'm sure I would enjoy it if I had one. But instead I have an O2 Nighthawk 750 which weighs about 90lbs less, and makes 13 horsepower less. The 1100 has the old school cool, but that's it. Both of them fill a similar riding niche and My Nighthawk is already set up with a rifle fairing and GIVI bags and the CB1100 doesn't offer enough more the justify the switch. I did pick up an '06 CB900F, however, better known as the Hornet 919. And that is a totally different bike that fills a liter class sporty bike category quite nicely. It replaced my old Nighthawk 700S sporty bike.

I own two, a 2013 CB1100 and a 2017 CB1100EX. I prefer motorcycles that do not look like transformers. I have a Z900RS when I want to ride fast, but I would not compare the two. The Honda has one of the smoothest rides I have ever ridden in over 40 years on bikes!

So I searched for and test ride both the Kawasaki S650 and the CB1100 because of your vids and have had my ‘14 CB1100 about 8 months. I look for more wind protection on the highway but it is a naked bike. But 12 more months and I can get another bike. Keep the videos coming!

Honda wanted to go with the classic look. Nothing fancy about it. My first, well second motorcycle was a Honda CB 750. It was super heavy. I was a teenager and my mother didn’t know that I owned it. You know the CB 1100 has to be a lot lighter than a 1981 CB 750. I’m a Honda fan because you know the bikes are just super dependable. My third bike was a NT650gt. I put better than 50,000 miles on it. I’m looking to buy a CB1100 now. So I’m watching videos as research.

You’re correcti. It’s highly underrated. I can’t stand the look of these liquid cooled neo retros. I love the simplicity of the CB1100. Its a shame that it’s so hard to find it in any other color than black. People that say it’s heavy are comparing it to modern 600’s when in reality it’s lighter most 80’s UJM’s. Down on horsepower? No, it still make 90hp and a whopping 70ft.lbs of torque which is 20 or so Moreno HP than a Harley 1200. It actually runs a quarter mile in 11.8 seconds. It would be quicker but it hits the limiter before finishing the quarter. People just want numbers these days and they’re out of touch with enjoyment.

It feels like a larger Nighthawk, which makes sense. Sure it has more weight, but it is very nimble, and the bike itself can pull from low revs in any gear. It's a more relaxing ride than my 06' 919, which I have to shift more often as it is geared quite a bit shorter given that it is a naked streetfighter.

There is no comparison , the Honda is way better looking. The Yamaha is way too top heavy, the wheels look too small and the overall design is not cohesive. I have a few Yammys so I am not biased towards Honda although I do have an 1100 too as my everyday bike.

Obscenely overweight for a naked motorcycle IMHO....and underpowered via specs. Obviously one can be happy with heavy underpowered motorcycles but I just feel they should be boycotted so manufacturers try harder....but some markets reward manufacturers for total lack of effort (Im looking at YOU HD Motor company)
