How to Remove a Stuck/Seized/Frozen Aluminum Seatpost from a Steel Frame Using an Impact Wrench

In this video you will learn how to remove a seized aluminum seatpost from a steel frame using an impact wrench and an internal pipe wrench. For best results soak the the seized seatpost for a couple days with a penetrating oil like PB Blaster.

I'm doing the same thing on my bike and have the post spinning with the internal pipe wrench. My question is how did you apply a lifting force to the seatpost while it was spinning? Or, did you alternate spinning it, then use a slide hammer or something to pull it out?

Once the seapost started spinning we put a vice grip on the seatpost and hit upward with a hammer to get it out.

Not everybody has a cheap seat post like that. On a good seat post, you have to cut it first ( that will destroy the post ) and you have to purchase another post, and scrap the one you take out. Make another video with a better post and repeat the procedure. I do like what you have done and how you did it. Everyone with this problem should be informed of this Pipe Wrench Set. Thanks.
