How to Fix a Ripped/Torn Bike Seat
มุมมอง 2413 หลายเดือนก่อน
To fix a ripped bike seat you will need spray adhesive, painters tape, a Q-tip, and a paper plate. Spray the adhesive on the plate. Then use the Q-tip to transfer the adhesive to the ripped part of the seat. After the adhesive has been applied tape the torn part of the seat in place, so it can dry. Remove the tape after fully dried and touch up with a paint marker as needed.

I'm doing the same thing on my bike and have the post spinning with the internal pipe wrench. My question is how did you apply a lifting force to the seatpost while it was spinning? Or, did you alternate spinning it, then use a slide hammer or something to pull it out?
Once the seapost started spinning we put a vice grip on the seatpost and hit upward with a hammer to get it out.
Nice Job!!!
Yes, I changed the elastomers with springs, the oil cartridge is the same as before and is still operational. My favorite part of the springs is that they will not turn to goo after a few years like the elastomers.
no oil in this fork ?

I need this! First bike I ever bought for myself
Hello! My zoom fork has some bolt at the bottom (where you put the wheel )
If the bolt is at the bottom of the lowers instead of inside the fork, you just remove those to get the fork apart.
I just picked up a pure bender. I need to replace some stem parts.
Massively dank method! My story is the same as yours. I got the first blaster soak underway and then I'm gonna hit it in a few days with an impact wrench. Stay frosty!
Nice work, bro! Love the set up there.
Not everybody has a cheap seat post like that. On a good seat post, you have to cut it first ( that will destroy the post ) and you have to purchase another post, and scrap the one you take out. Make another video with a better post and repeat the procedure. I do like what you have done and how you did it. Everyone with this problem should be informed of this Pipe Wrench Set. Thanks.
Very helpful
Underground Bicycle Collective, This is amazing! I subscribed right away!
thank you. It was very helpful, I am not even sure how did I managed to find problem for this specific problem
Those washers were very common back in the day, and you can still find them on low end and city bikes, usually mounted on fixed fork bikes. Their main purpose was to keep the wheel straight into the forks drop-outs, so that in the event of the nuts unscrewing for some reason, or not being properly tightened in the first place, the wheel won't fly out. In short, it was a safety measure. Nice video, keep it up!
Very useful to know this cause I’m about to buy one. Thanks mate
Is 140 the expected psi??
140 psi was based on my weight from the owner's manual. Look for the owner's manual for your fork in the link in the description to find the proper pressure based on your weight.
Thanks
Thank you so much. My headshok lost all pressure and I was so lost on how to fix it. 🤟
