Pro tip : Do not get your laptop close to the wall, the wall basically help it so that the laptop had a higer chance of broken, so make sure there is a space area near your set up, why? Try push the monitor, if it is not touching anything, good, it will had a less chance of breaking, also another pro tip, punch your bed

So I had a computer which had a problem where if it was adjusted a tiny bit, would make a third of the screen turn off or be just really fricking glitchy, today (something I had always done) was putting minor amounts of pressure on the back of the screen, but today I heard a nice pop, and now my screen was cracked, I frickin freaked out, and quickly started taking the screen out and open it up (adrenaline I didn’t even think) now it doesn’t turn on or anything (like that matters, even if I could it would be unusable). I have a toshiba tecra R850 and the screen is discontinued, what do i do?
Crashio I’m obviously no professional, and you most likely have already figured it out by now, although I would say you have two options. You can either buy a new computer which benefits you by the fact that it would fix all the problems you hav been having with your computer. The other option you have, would be getting a computer specialist to specially make that specific screen size adjusted to your computer. Although, this probably wouldn’t fix your problems on account of the fact it’s most likely your computer and not your hardware, hard drive, or actual computer screen. If you did decide to replace your screen, and then it ended up not being your screen (because I’m eighty percent sure it’s not) then replacing the hardware and hard drive to fix the problems, or even two of them being replace would probably pass the price of replacing your computer all together. I am glad to try and help, although, as I said, I am no expert. All the advice I just gave you could be wrong in the eyes of an expert. Thank you, sincerely, Amethyst.

My screen on the left side has all black not till half way but in weird symbol then it has a line that looks like a crack but isnt a crack on real screen then i see green blue and red colors And the right side works perfectly Like the same u had with the thing that loooked like a crack
You are correct. Those are the lights set on automatic. I didn't break the screen. This was a laptop repair someone paid me to do for them so I decided to record it. Thank you for being here again. I'll make sure to always respond back to you comments.

Sir.my problem is i updated windows 11 and i have to use a external monitor since my laptop screen is broken.i notice that the external monitor doesn't show anything when window's booting.after booting the external monitor only shows the screen when it booted to the login screen.when i updated my laptop,i have to do a setup to continue to use my laptop.but before,when i used my external monitor with windows 10,it always show what's going on the screen.i realized windows 11 is the culprit.pls help me if you can.

So.. I'm the person you can trust to keep something broken until it's broken even more I now have to deal with it or I have no laptop anymore. I was surviving with half the screen broken and one hinge broken, I never closed the laptop screen and worked like that for a year. But, the broken hinge was tearing the thin black cables that go around the screen so now I have the other half fucked too. Since those cables aren't included in any video I watched (unless the one that's connected in the end leads to those?) I doubt there's any hope

I was on a old PC, I was playing roblox and i raged because the game was freezing my screen and I got angry and banged it..... the screen was glitching I cried because i diddnt mean to do it and now I dont think im ever going to go back on that computer but my sims 4 is on there ;(.
This is my 4th laptop... 1st one I spilled some water on it and then framed it on my brother, second one my brother "found" it and then I used it regularly and so I was claimed the owner and than I broke it bec I accidentally sprayed some bug spray on it. Third one, the one I my grandma got for me at a pawn shop; my grandma and I was in a fight and then she threw it on the floor (she has bipolar issues). And now, current one. I honestly don't know how I broke it... I mean I dropped it a couple of times and then the front cover at the bottom came out but I fixed it with tape but it was still working then. The last thing I dropped it on the floor but that was a lil while ago before it stopped working, I don't think that was the cause) And then I watched anime and fell asleep with the laptop on my side. (I was too lazy to put it away). I mean, I do all kinds of things in my sleep: twists, turnabouts, and I just move a lot. But even so It was fine when I woke up. But here's the really strange part. I go up to the bathroom, wash my hands, dry my hands. It was still fine. But then I went up to get 1 1/2 slice of pizzas and then when I came back I found out the laptop had a crack in the screen. I mean, you can still move the cursor but the screen is green and you barely see it. Idek what happened or how It cracked. Not sure if I dropped sum water on it or sum. But all I knew is that I couldn't tell my grandma... She paid alot much money on that laptop. I think about 300$ idk rally. I mean I have a habit of breaking things; cracked my phone screen, broke my old tablet and now it doesn't work and now I'm on the verge of breaking my current tablet. And I'm not even sure if the laptop has insurance on it or anything, and knowing my habit of breaking things I HOPE it has insurance on it... For my sake. But I don't think so, I never ever get insurance with my electronics, kinda ironic huh? I just feel like THIS time I'm not gonna break it and then I go and do the opposite. And so, here I am now, looking up on yt how to fix it because I feel both guilty and ashamed of myself. If there’s dead pixels on the screen go on TH-cam and type in “dead pixel fixer” and click one of the first three videos. Do this when you’re about to go to sleep so you won’t need to use the computer during that process. If you wake up and still see the dead pixels on your computer then I do recommend replacing the screen. That is a guaranteed fix.
I have a dell laptop and I accidentally dropped it on the floor and the actual screen if fine but the inside bit of the screen is broken and it’s broken into bits
Locate the white sticker on your laptop ( you can find it either behind the laptop or underneath your keyboard ) that white sticker will consist of the laptops serial & model number. Let me know what the model number of your laptop is so I can assist you with finding the screen.

I recommend you use the exact model screen because you want the flex cable connection for the screen to have the same fitting for the connection on your laptops motherboard. Take my word on it, it’ll save you a lot of time to get it right the first time.
From what I remember when I was repairing the laptop is that the bezel of the screen made it to the base of the laptop where the hinge bends. Without removing the bottom bit, the bezel wouldn’t come off without me breaking it.
I'm 14 and I got upset over my computer lagging. My mom lost her sister and my dad last year. Guess I kinda just exploded. Now I have to tell my mom what I did to my screen. I told my father about it, he didn't really freak out. He just told me he'll go to the computer store and try to get the screen repaired.

No. The only component that'll cause you to lose your data (temporarily) when replaced is your hard drive.

If you wake up and still see the dead pixels on your computer then I do recommend replacing the screen. That is a guaranteed fix.

I have a dell laptop and I accidentally dropped it on the floor and the actual screen if fine but the inside bit of the screen is broken and it’s broken into bits
Locate the white sticker on your laptop ( you can find it either behind the laptop or underneath your keyboard ) that white sticker will consist of the laptops serial & model number. Let me know what the model number of your laptop is so I can assist you with finding the screen.
Was it necessary to take everything out or could you just skip to the screen part?
On some laptops it’s required you take it all the way apart in order to replace the screen.

Do you need to use the EXACT model screen? Or can you just use ome that fits???
I recommend you use the exact model screen because you want the flex cable connection for the screen to have the same fitting for the connection on your laptops motherboard. Take my word on it, it’ll save you a lot of time to get it right the first time.

why do you have to take off the bottom bit of the laptop if your only repair guy the screen
From what I remember when I was repairing the laptop is that the bezel of the screen made it to the base of the laptop where the hinge bends. Without removing the bottom bit, the bezel wouldn’t come off without me breaking it.
