I had several types of pedals. analog and digital. But I found that it all comes down to this pedal. There's a good possibility of equalization and a perfect drive without being "bee sound". My board is single pedal!

Great demo. Having owned this pedal for a few years now I can confidently say that new strings and basses with 2 pickups, whether JJ or PJ, definitely bring out the best out of this pedal.

    hello,
i have the old Sansamp v1..
You hear quite a bit of noise (with 9v battery)
if you turn the Blend, Treble & Presence all the way to the right (& turn up the Drive more)
That seems to me or is normal with these types of preamp pedals?
probably also audible with normal bass amps? more dependent on the quality of the amp
    Naturally..
When Blend is turned all the way to the left, the noise largely disappears and the sound spectrum then changes for the most part.
If the LED is off (not active tone control) then it will be a DI with a passive signal.
We'll see how it holds up on one pedalboard, but it's really useful to have this there...

Not a v1, I have a v1 with only one switch, but for some reason everybody calls this a v1.

This is how Tech21 calls it and the version after this one was named the v2. It is probably because this is the super popular and largely produced iteration of the "first generation".I think people generally refer to all BDDI pre v2 as v1. I heard they sound pretty much identical.
I've seen a lot of names for the version without the switches: v0, v1.1, v1.2, pre v1, v1 without the switches, etc.

Wow that mid-cut is so noticeable

Drop bass and treble and boost volume to boost mids.
